Part of my position requires me to upload a PDF of the layout for our floorplans. My question is- How do I make sure the layout stays the same every time? I plot to PDF several times a day and it seems like the second time I plot, the layout goes the opposite direction that I previously setup- under Page Setup Manager...
So, I have to start over several times, setting up the layouts when I wish I could just hit plot and go. Is there a save function I am missing here?
I want to start modeling homes. I work at a small company and my employer wants me to model and render some of his designs. I have access to all working drawings floor plans, elevations and roof plan so I was wondering what the best way is to make use of that for a 3D model?
I was thinking of trying revit but ACA seems easier to deal with. I don't need to build the interior and most projects are residential homes. I tried searching around and finding tutorials but couldnt find as much on autocad architecture.
I am relatively new to AutoCAD LT and I am constructing floorplans and measuring the area in m2. My problem is that my areas are not adding up correctly. We are investigating possible future redesigning of units, and although the outer boundary of the building is the same, when I add up the individual units this total area does not add up correctly. While trying to figure out what was going on I traced one unit exactly on another layer and compared areas between the two identical polygons....and they have different areas!?!?!?
Well I made some really ghetto floorplans using MS Paint and now I tried to upgrade. URLs....So yeah, goes to show you cant really do this with MS Paint.
see all the tools like blend, sharpen etc, I know what all that does but most of this stuff is for like editing photos. Im just trying to create some floorplans and stuff. Can't even find a way to make a rectangle-box like how I could do on MS Paint.
how to trace over floor plans such that the line quality is sketchy similar to architectural traces where the lines cross over each other, etc. Is there a way to edit a brush stroke where the path end extends beyond the box corner.
I need to swap my level 1 and level 2 of my building's floorplans. What is the most efficient way to take the walls etc. from level two and place them on level 1, and take whats on level 1 and place them on level 2? I am swapping the floorplans.
I have a bit of a problem with Autocad map 3d 2012. When i try to insert a scale bar or a north arrow or any other carthographic element i simply can't find the layout elements that are supposed to be in layout tools tab. I've done a lot of research online and can't come up with anything.
I use illustrator for several things.So i really need to use shortcut's.But there is one big problem : I have the english version of illustrator and i have a German keyboard layout.An example :
To blank a shape u use '/' ( English Version ) To blank a shape u use '#' (German Version )
I can't use '/' cause i have to press shift+/ ... I dont know its not working.Can i change the "Shortcut-Layout" and use the German layout ?
I'm doing some work with routed tubing at the moment using the Excel XYZ upload facility with auto-bend enabled and it works great. What I would like to know is if there is a way to edit an individual intersect point after the 3D line has been created? I've tried myself but can only movethe complete line, (all coordinates).
I would also like to know if it is possible to extract all XYZ intersect points back to excel or a table within Inventor so I could use the data with a CNC bending machine? Even displaying all coodrinates on the screen at once would be useful.
A working example would be as follows..., I will upload the customers XYZ data to create a 3D line, modifiy specific intersect points to simplify manufacturing and then extract the new co-ordinates to be used for prototyping purposes.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
Client creates a layer state in the furniture plan to show only what the client needs to see once the drawing is in the space management application. DOES BRINGING IN THE BASE PLAN AS AN XREF AFFECT THIS LAYER STATE?

I receive an error message "An error occurred sending the file: Connection to the server failed" My FTP seems ok. This problem arose after reinstalling w7 though not sure that is relevant.
I've just recently started using Photoshop CC and was trying to upload an avi file to make a gif, however it kept saying that it did not support video on this version of photoshop.
I use Windows 7 and my sysptems properties are: Installed Memory (RAM) 2.00GB, System type: 32-bit operating system
The video is only 3:45, so it doesn't exceed 10 minutes, I uploaded videos successfully when I had the trial version and whenever I try to upload it to youtube on the purchased version, it gives me the error above, and does not put the video on youtube, what is the problem?

I have a Nikon D7100 with two memory cards. I'm trying to upload the images to Lightroom 5. For some reason, Lightroom has uploaded only about 170 images from the second disk. It doesn't seem to know that there are more images on that disk which have not been uploaded. And it doesn't seem to know that there are more than 700 images on the first disk, none of which has been uploaded. What should I do?
I cannot upload any photos. I click import and go to the file source but it either says could not copy file to requested location, or gives me a bunch of random stuff that does not work or is not even in my files.
My Mac won't let me upload RAW files from my SD card bc it can't read it. I know I need ACR (adobe camera raw) but not sure where I find that? Did it come with my Photoshop Elements 10 CD or do I download it from somewhere?
I know how to upload the 3D tool and put the texture on it but when I do the texture is too light. I don't know why it's not appearing the same color as the original file. I am not sure if I am not loading it right. I had CS5 and I am loading it the same way. Well...as similar as the software will allow. This one is so different.
