I have accidentally cut on some function in autocad that I can't figure out how to cut it off. Now when I select an object, it has a UCS icon (red arrow & green arrow) in the center of the object and you can stretch the object by using the arrow or the box in the middle.

I have created a dynamic block. Herein I placed stretch actions parameter set to strecht parts including anotative text.
Now the block seems to work fine.
- When I am in modelspace and I change the annotation scale the text is changed correct
- When I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value of the dynamic block everything goes fine.
But when I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value in one of the annotiaton scales and then switch to another scale my text is changed annotativly (this is what I want) but the stretch value is set back to default (which should be at the changed value).
When using the Convert tool I can click on a handle to remove it (or set its length to 0)
But when using the Pen tool combined with ALT (on Windows) which temporarily activates the Convert tool
clicking on a handle does nothing ...
This means there is no way to remove a handle without switching tools (and therefore closing the path)
Is this a mistake by Adobe?

I used the magnetic and polyganol lasso tool to remove sections, after I drew a section, I pressed enter and then backspace, which made the section turn gray. But now it's just gray, on the same layer, and I can't do anything about it. I wanted an empty background under the image.
I can't use the magic selection tool because it DOES NOT select around the image properly (it selects INSIDE of the image) not where I cropped it out. And the magic selection tool is crappy. It leaves zig zagged white spots so why would I use that.
I cropped the entire thing out, and now I can't even see it without the background?
I'm using CS6 on my MacPro and and MacBook Pro (both running 10.6.8). When i use the crop tool on my laptop, an annoying black rectangle with dimensional data pops up whenever I crop. This does not happen on my desktop. I need this turned off on my laptop as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a total newbie to Gimp. I want to remove a couple spots on a jpg picture of mine. I've read and watched videos that say to open the picture, click on the healing tool, then press ctrl and click at the same time and pick a good area on the picture. Then after that, you can click on the spots to remove them. I try to do all this and it won't work. I get a plus sign and/or a circle with a line through it.
What does that mean? How on earth would I know how to fix this? I got it once yesterday but I don't know what I did. It seem to change when I changed the size of the brush but it was probably something else that changed it. It's probably something so simple.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running Adobe Photoshop 7.0 in Windows 7 Virtual XP mode, since the program won't run in Win7 64-bit mode. It used to run fine in 32-bit mode. It runs OK in the virtual XP mode, but I find that the circle tool in the painting or clone stamp functions always has an arrowhead in the center of the circle. It never used to, just the circle for painting or cloning. How do I get rid of it? Changing the settings in the Preferences menu does not work. Also, the virtual mode doesn't seem to allow updating program files, although it updates XP files. I tried to download a Photoshop update file. There was a prompt asking where it should go. But when I selected a place, and clicked OK, the Next button did not come on.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a clipped image that I've placed a drop shadow on (using layer styles) on a transparent background. I want to quickly use the crop tool to remove any un-used pixels or artboard.
I tried to activate "show the layer edges", but it does not account for the layer style/drop shadow I've placed and also it goes away when you start to use the crop tool itself. So this doesn't really work.
Is there another way to do this? Other than eyeballing it? I want the image too be cropped as tightly as possible, but I do not want to tight too tight and cut of the drop shadow.
I'm new at this and trying to remove arm hair from this image using the smudge tool (30%, normal), it worked except the arm looks too blured now. How do I bring back some texture ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI realize this will be a ridiculously basic question for most of you since I'm very new to Paint Shop Pro, but I've been trying all sorts of tools today trying to find the most efficient way to do something.
I sell clothing online, and I'm looking for the best way to quickly remove the price from an image of the retail tag. Everything I've tried seems to be tedious, so I don't think I've got the right tool so far. I just want to be able to do what was called a "Smart Erase" in my old Digital Image Pro program -- I simply drew a quick outline around the area to be erased, and then clicked on the erase button, and the price was gone off the tag (it inserted the same background area there).
I have two shapes placed next to each other but the top section displays is a faint line to the left. How do I use the Path Eraser Tool to delete/remove that piece? Or is there a better way to remove?

After being embarrassed by failing to check the Clone/heal tool to make sure the opacity was set correctly, I am encouraged to ask another question that was not affected by the appropriate correction that made the tool work fine under most circumstances. However, using LR4 (and previously LR 3) )iMac 27 quad) at odd intervals, certain images show up with a single white spot, usually on a blue background, that cannot be removed or cloned with the LR Clone/heal tool. It can be removed with the clone tool in PS but not in LR. I don't know where the spots come from. They sometimes show up in a sequence of 3-4 or just singly. A copy of one is attached here. I don't know if this spot is an aberation in LR or from my cameras. Since it's happened with different cameras, I presume this is some problem with LR.

I needed to "heal" one dust particle from all of those which I did by using "spot removal" tool but unfortunately it doesn't work well on all images. Now I am stuck with a problem where I have over 7K pics which has that tool applied but I can't remove it from the whole batch in one go.
I've tried syncing with an image that has no "spot removal" tool applied but it didn't work. I coppied settings and pasted them but it only works for one image. I had them all selected and just hit restart on a tool but again it only does that for currently visible pic. I really don't know how to deal with this and I don't want to do it manually with all of them. It's worth mentioning that I could reset all of the settings but I already applied many adjustements to many images so only spot tool is what I want to get rid off.

Is there any way to move the marquee around as if it was a square converted to curves...just move the handles to say a triangle? I know I can powerclip to any curve design I can create..it just looks as if you can use the handles to flip, rotate, etc..

Tried to remove some cables from an image using Russel Brown's video making use of the pen tool/path and the spot healing brush with content aware. I'm pretty sure I followed his tutorial exactly but it did not work satisfactorily. Are there any other tweaks I should be using to remove these cables and replace them with the background details?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?
I use "Add: Pick Points" to hatch my elevations. The hatch does not seem to stretch when I need to stretch the elevations. Is there a way to make it stretch?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSimple problem: When I select a line, normally three grips appear; the ends and the middle. Normally, when I want to stretch (resize) a line I click one end and simply drag it to the desired location. Often it *snaps* to another nearby grip point, the middle selected grip, a line that it crosses, etc. If I zoom in I normally can put the grip any where I want to. It has worked fine up until this morning. Last night when I closed the program it worked perfectly...first thing this morning it doesn't work at all. Restarting the program and the computer had no effect.
The grip will only snap to the other origin (making it zero length) and other random points nearby. I cannot make it a random length...it must snap to those other points, and it *will not* snap to the middle point of the line, which I do all of the time.
Did I accidentally hit a CTRL+ or ALT+ key-stroke which has changed the abilities to snap?
I'm trying to add dimension with the stretch actions.

The scale command doesn't work as I intent, since it makes the spacing between those lines "x" times greater as well.
Which command should I use?

I draw ventilation ductwork all day at work, just recently stumbled across dynamic blocks.
Attached is what i have done so far, the straight section works perfectly, just having some trouble with the radius bend. What I need is for the arc to stretch with the angle of the bend.

In 2k9 in 3d i used to be able to click on a box and then click on a grip and see the height or width...but now i can't see the dimensions how do i get those dimensions back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been having an issue with my hatches, especially when I use solid. I always make them associative but when I have to move an object using stretch, the hatch does not come along with it.
When I hatch an item I generally use the "pick points" option. Do I need to be using select objects?
