how to access offline help dialogue box, which contains in the form of contents so that I can learn AutoCAD systematically? I have AutoCAD 2013 & I have installed 237 MB offline help setup too.
View 8 RepliesI have installed 237 MB offline help setup for AutoCAD 2013. But I am unable to access the offline help dialogue box in contents form.
I am attaching the image of Microstation help dialogue box in content form, I need same help dialogue box in contents form for AutoCAD too so that I can self-learn AutoCAD.
When selecting the render video command, a progress bar appears stating "Initializing Video Export", and gets most of the way done but then freezes. At this point a dialogue pops up saying that "Required software extensions are missing" and that if one presses okay it will direct to the PACE website where an installer can be downloaded. But this dialogue then proceeds to freeze as well. The little circle of death spins forever in front of it and neither button may be pressed. Went to the PACE website and looked at their anti-piracy "tools" and it all seemed rather weird. Anyway, what is the way past this empasse?
I have an older late 2008 macbook pro with OS 10.8.3, running Photoshop CS6.
Just loaded 2013. Of course right away I get an error. "Internet access is required to access the Help" Well as you can see I have internet access.

When using files marked as "make available offline" the computer status shows as being offline when the file listed as needing to be synced. This is when the laptops are connected to the network. This makes the file unavailable to other users. They do not even appear in a directory listing. If they do a Save As, that file appears immediately. This is only happening with the Autocad files. MS Office files work just fine. How can I make the laptops realize that they are online and connected to the server? I read about transparent caching but that seems to be available only on server 2008.

Going online for help is a PITA. Even at T1 speeds.
I miss my offline help. Real drag, browsing thru a help, and seeing a link to the rest of the help online.
I want my offline help back.. I've got a terabyte + space for it...
I have 3 of the PDF full helps. Is there a way to integrate them as the helps ? I could live with that just as well as the offline pkg's.
I can use CS6 offline once its all installed right?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using AutoCAD 2012 and when I try and start the 'ARRAY' command I do not get the popup dialogue box like in earlier versions. I remember recently having the same issue with the HATCH command, but this was solved by altering the 'HPDLGMODE' setting. I've looked for a similar setting for ARRAY but so far come up with nothing.
Any settings that will revive this dialogue box?
Autocad used to perform the LOFT command partially in the COMMAND LINE and additional properties could be setted in the DIALOGUE BOX.
I used to draw my lofted elements :
1. Pick sections in order
2. Following Guide, Path,...
3. Dialogue box ( sections smooth fit, ruled, normal to,...)
4. Volume was drawn.
Nowdays it's a bit more extended but in step 2 when u pick a path the volume is drawn immediately and I can't append additional properties like in step 3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedKeep getting this message on lots of my photos. I move the majority of my photos to an external hard drive for volume reasons. Even when I have the external hard drive attached I get this message. Seems I can only access photos that are on my computer hard drive. I read through all the suggestions and followed guidelines for clicking on "find in explorer." This does indeed take me to files and tells me where it thinks the file is located. And yes, I can then go to the external hard drive and find the photo. However, all it does is pull it up and does not import it into my LR program. So I still cannot work on the photo or have access to it. I am frustrated as I need to access photos for printing and uploading to stock sites. Lots of good work is sitting in my files and I cannot get to them. And on top of that, if this is the way to access the photo, then I have to do this one photo at the time.

Now, returning home LR suddenly says the files are off-line or missing. I've tried to re-import the originals to repeat the edits, but am told that the pix are already in the catalogue.

So, I am assuming that when the flash drive is missing is why I am getting the "jpg is missing or offline" message. Is there any way to fix this or do I just have to delete them all and "move" them?

I sent my business card (cmyk, .tiff) I'm working on for a client to the printers, I got an online proof back and after an a/b test, the colors definitely are a few tints darker. The gent said this is because I am viewing my proof on a computer screen which is RGB...but wait, isnt the .tiff file I sent over (and also the same file I am doing an a/b test with) showing on my screen in RGB as well. After asking him "Doesn't RGB reproduce all the CMYK color spectrum?"
He mentioned something about Online and Offline colors not fully matching up when you view them, but to refer to the colors of the original .tiff file I sent. How can I ever fully know what I am approving is truly what I'm getting? Other than using spot colors. I'm not super familiar with the printers, and trying to learn as much as possible. Some resources on offline vs online color matching that would be awesome! I've checked a few places and will continue to.

I tried downloading the CR 7.1 update which came to me as a zip file.But when I try to open it, there are a number of various files, none of which are an .exe file. which file do I use and what folder do I insert this file into? How do I delete from the list of 'off line' drives a drive that is no longer used? All files that were on it are either in the main catalog or no long necessary & have been deleted. I had reconnected all pictures but when I select all thumbnails & ask that the pictures date be written to file this old drive still appears even though its empty.
