May 21, 2009know a way to export lots mtext from a chart in AutoCAD (I am use Civil 3D 2008 currently) to a text documet (Excel, notepad, word . etc.)

Illustrator :: How To Export Excel Chart Into AI Vector Format
Feb 6, 2014I have an MS Word 2011 document with an Excel pie chart embedded.Double-clicking the pie chart will open it in Excel 2011.Copying/pasting the chart into Illustrator CS6 results in an uneditable bit image.
Previously, with Word 2008 and Illustrator CS2, this worked perfectly. Mind you, I had tons of excess empty paths and such to scrape out, but still, after a couple of minutes' scraping, I had an editable .ai file ready to be cleaned up, captions typeset, and colors edited for export to .eps and placement in InDesign
In fact, right now I've had to jump over to my old iBook G4 to open my old copies of Word 2008 and Illustrator CS2 in order to do this so I can get this job out the door.Is there any way at all that I can get an Excel 2011 pie chart into Illustrator CS6 as a vector image?
I've tried the shift-click on "Copy Picture" method, but the pie chart still appears as a bit image, and the text is turned to gibberish. Saving the chart as a pdf returns the same results.
At this point in the project, asking for the raw data set and regenerating the pies in Illustrator isn't an option -- and besides, I've had to do that before. Oh, the pain.
AutoCAD Map 3D :: Export MTEXT Alignment To SHP / SDF
Nov 26, 2013Is it possible to export MTEXT alignment (top left, middle center, etc) to a GIS format such as SDF or SHP? I'm able to export MTEXT correctly, but alwaus without the alignment, which is pretty important in my case.
I've tried with FME with limited success. I was able to retrieve text alignment, but each MTEXT carriage return was considered a new feature. That means if I have a 4 line MTEXT, this will create 4 points in a SHP or SDF.

The dwg was fine, then it crashed while changing from modle space to paper space...
When i recovered the dwg, EVERY MTEXT I try to edit becomes rotated vertically and stays that way when i close the edit box...
I do not recall hitting any buttons or making any keystrokes without my knowing...
Is there a way to get my text back to Horizontal and stay that way?
I tried setting the MTEXTFIXED to: 0, 1 & 2.
NONE of these options changed anything.
I NEED to have this fixed. more importantly, i need to know why this is happening sop that i can take steps to prevent this happening in the future...
I am currently working with the latest CAD available.

I've found some routines that can combine pieces of MText but I don't know if they preserve the paragraphs.I have DotSoft Toolpac but it doesn't seem up to the task. C

View 9 Replies View RelatedAutoCAD 2010 :: Unnamed Blocks With Lots Of Associated Garble
Sep 25, 2013Somehow, every time we copy/paste from certain drawings, it brings in 9000+ unnamed blocks. Buried in these blocks are several thousand extraneous linetypes, etc. The blocks do not appear to contain any actual drawing objects, and are virtually unselectable. But the drawing size increases exponentially. Once a drawing is “infected” any item that is copied from it “infects” any drawing that the copied item is pasted into. Needless to say, this creates very large, slow files that are practically unusable. We have relied on copy/paste for notes, details, etc. and only recently started seeing this crop up.
Purge does not get rid of the blocks. We have tried a map query, which seems to ditch the extraneous stuff. But we lose our C3D object intelligence, and that process is far too cumbersome to run on all our drawings. We have tried the following lisp code that I found related somewhat to this topic a while back:

Problem is, it deletes blocks C3D seems to need, so again the drawings are rendered basically useless. how to clean the drawings up and or stop the spread of “the plague”
I tried to attach a "blank" drawing that demonstrates the issue. I literally pasted a single line into it, and it is over 9MB, so it would not attach....

AutoCad :: Rotating Lots Of Individual Bits Of Text At Once
Sep 9, 2013Gave a set of schematics to a client and they decided they wanted all the wire numbers rotating 90 degrees... In the interest of efficiency, any way I can rotate all the pieces of text at the same time whilst maintaining their individual position rather than selecting a base rotation point (as I have about 400 wire numbers to make my way through ).

Apr 26, 2012Is there any way for me to choose a bunch of .dsd files, and have those be batch plotted?At the moment I have to publish one .dsd file at a time, and each .dsd file can take about 10 minutes to go through all the layouts I have.

Jan 9, 2013This is to trim a line that crosses another. I draw lots of plumbing plans. It draws a circle based on 'dimscale', trims a line to that circle, then erases the circle. The problem is if you miss the trim point (PT2) it does not erase the circle and you lose your object snaps.

2) Easily do paintovers of each frame on separate layers
Obviously I can just insert the video frames as single layers and create a new layer over the top of each frame and do a paintover however this is a long process.
IMPORTANT I want to beable to see the last frames paintover with the new frame underneath so I can see what I just painted while still using the current video frame as reference. Is there some way to do this easily in photoshop as the animation panel is rubbish
