Feb 1, 2012I have one drawing, which has 79 layouts itself. I want to delete some same objects for all layout. Is there any command to edit all layout at one time.

Feb 7, 2013I have a block that I use as hatch (using superhatch), so the block appears several times. At the border of the hatch I want to fix some of the lines.
If I try to ungroup & explode the hatch, then the block appears outside of the hatch boundry.
So my question is if I can fix the lines so the hatch remains whole.

Oct 30, 2012After drawing in model space(1:1 Scale) I then dimension as needed using Annotative Dimensions, Multileaders and MText using the same 1:1 scale. But when I create the variuos viewports on my layout pages the dimensions aren't scaling to the viewport scale.
This is where it may be partly my fault; When I first started using annotative dimensions etc. a box would pop up asking what scale to use. Because I am dimensioning in model space, rather than always seeing this text box I selected "Do not ask again" check box to always use 1:1 scaling.
These are some of the other settings in place;
ANNOAUTOSCALE = 4
Annotation Visibility = ON
Automatically Add Scales = ON
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Cogo Point Objects Too Small In PS Layout
Aug 10, 2012I am a surveyor doing an asbuilt of some ponds. I am working in the engineer's dwg. In PS, he does not scale down his drawing sheet block to 1"=1', he keeps it the same scale as model space, i.e. 1"=50'.
He has a viewport in the layout, and my Cogo Points seemed to be scaled at 1"=1', which makes them much to small, but everthing else is scaled correctly.
How can I make my Cogo Points appear bigger in PS?
I tried dbl-clicking in the viewport to be in MS, and the viewport says it's scale is 1'0" = 1'0". When I change it to 1"=50', the model view shrinks way down (the viewed area is bigger), and when I scroll to make the model view bigger, the Cogo Points are still small.
When I read the Properties of the viewport, it says:
Anno scale: 1"=50
Standard scale= 1"=50
Custom scale= 0.02
How I can get this viewport to make my Cogo Points big as they should be?

Nov 26, 2012how to delete all OLE objects from drawing by most efficient way.
There are abt 150 drawings, each has from 2 to 20 or so OLE objects which need to be deleted. OLE objects are on many paper spaces.
I tried to use qselect but it selects only what is in current space.
Would need some lisp or some other methode than all can be deleted (excluding those which resides in blocks).
Tried also yto use ssx and then erase but still it deletes only what is on current space.
Just as additional info, those OLE are all pictures, not xls files for example.

Apr 23, 2011I just started having an issues with the delete feature. When I click on an object and it highlights it--when i hit the delete button, it doesn't delete the object any more. Also i should be able to click on as many object as i want, now it makes me hold the shift key down. And also when I click on an object then pull the layers tab down to assign it to a diffent layer ---it won't change it now.. what do you think is going on with the software and who might I contact to get this problem corrected.

Aug 28, 2012We have a map of our primary lines in an ESRI .shp file, that superimposes nicely on our other shape files, for shoreline and rivers and everything else, that works fine. As part of some project planning I'm doing, I'm making a series of layouts, each taking a snapshot of an area, with a revision cloud around the lines we're planning to replace.
I loaded the map up this morning and everything was as I saved it, but as I was creating a new layout and zooming to the correct region in my view port, every single revision cloud I drew disappeared. As did all the annotations and other labels I'd made - absolutely everything that isn't from a database just up and vanished.
I've turned off all the database links, there's nothing covering them up, I had none of them selected and used no delete commands, all I did was create a new layout via copy and adjust the viewport on it, they're just gone.

Jul 23, 2012We have our pipe networks set up in our template. But in actual use, we don't use them in every project. Even in a project where we're using them, they will be d-ref'd around, so I don't need the actual network set up in each drawing.
I was deleting my unused, empty pipe networks from a drawing (to reduce file size and to avoid getting the "8 Objects not selected" dialogue when using quick select.)
I deleted 3 or 4 networks, then on the next one I got this message:
C3D was apparantly not content with merely informing me once of this interesting fact. No, the message was obviously considered so important that it had to be repeated. Many many times, for emphasis. So many times, that after I'd keept my finger on the Escape key for a minute or two, the program still felt that I needed to see this important dialogue box.
I used Task Manager to get out of the program.

Aug 22, 2013I use CDX5 to run our laser engraver. A customer brought us in some plastic sheet he'd like us to laser into small little "lenses" that go over LEDs. These little lenses are roughly .5" square with one radiused corner. The material isn't cheap, so of course the customer wants to minimize waste - I can't spread them out.
I just ctrl-D duplicate them into a tightly packed array and send to the laser... Unfortunately, the material isn't very laser-friendly. It sucks up a lot of heat and starts to bulge, which takes the laser out of focus. I can get decent results by doing a few at a time, but that causes too much waste. If I try to do to many in one area, the bulging leads to ruined parts.
Is there a convenient way in CD to randomize the order of objects? If the laser would cut one over here, then another over there, etc, I think the heat buildup would no longer be a factor, and I wouldn't have to babysit the machine. I thought about doing it manually in Object Manager but, ugh, there are like 384 pieces in the layout.
