Sep 26, 2011I tried to use the "import" under file, but it didn't see the jpegs that I want to import. In fact, it didn't see anything that's in the file. It said "file empty".

View 3 RepliesIf I shoot RAW + JPEG, and I add EXIF data to the JPEG files outside of Lightroom, when I import the RAW + JPEG pairs will the metadata I added to the JPEG files still be there?
I'd try it myself, but I don't actually have the equipment to do this right now.
I want to shoot tethered in studio, and shoot RAW + JPEG, but I want Lightroom to only import the JPEGS so as to improve the speed. I shoot a Canon 7D.

I have a company logo that is a jpeg, I can insert it in a title block but when i print the drawing in black and white it is a blur due to the dark colors in the logo. Is there a way to convert it to a drawing so I can adjust colors/size to plot properly?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to place some pictures (.jpeg, bitmap, whatever) onto an inventor drawing but it won't let me. I see when you create a sketch in a drawing there is an "image" option in the insert tab, however this option is always grayed out for me no matter what I try.
The way I insert pictures on a drawing now is just to create a part, put the image as a decal on that part and create a view in a drawing with a shaded view. However with this option the lighting shows up and kills the image quality and it seems too complicated to be the correct way.
I am having trouble now resizing my jpeg after I have dragged it into my CAd drawing. I usually do this and am able to select the jpeg in my drawing and then grab the corner and resize it to fit in the space I need it to fit in... but I am not allowed to even select the jpeg after it has been inserted int to the drawing...
I am working on the layout space in the dwg, I thought if I worked in model space it would allow me to select the jpeg, this does not work ....

I am running inventor 2010 suite with service pack 2 and when I try to insert a JPEG or BMP into a Drawing Sheet (not a sketch on a part file), the image does not appear. I have done this on previous versions numerous times and it worked perfectly fine.
The message which appears on the screen says "TEMPEMBED.BMP" and it has a photoshop CS4 logo. When I do a print preview, nothing appears on the page. I have opened up a previous drawing sheet, which has a JPEG & BMP inserted and the image is shown, but when I try to insert another image on the same drawing sheet, the same thing happens.
I am running a pretty fast machine, with an intel i7 processor and a pretty hardcore graphic card.

I'm having trouble inserting a jpeg to a drawing in paper space.
In the past I've always done the following to add a jpeg to a layer
1. Created a new layer on the drawing
2. Opened the jpeg req in a separate window
3. Dragged the Jpeg into the drawing so that it sits on it's own layer
THis worked in CS3 but doesn't sem to in CS4.
I'm attempting to import a sequence of JPEG files as a composition into After Effects. The files were exported from Lightoom (Import/File). I select the first file in sequence and select JPEG Sequence but the Import as Footage is greyed out. Only the first file is imported. I'm attempting a timelapse from files taken with GoPro Hero3.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhave a new Nikon Camera. using flash taking photos inside. For some reason the Histogram on the back of the camera is short of any light pixels, ie they're all grouped in the dark to centre of the histogram, ie the photos are dark. Thing is they look great on the back of the LCD screen and it seems the photos are correctly exposed.
Okay here is the question, does Photoshop have any settings at all, anywhere, which could give the user flexibility in altering any brightness settings when files from a digi camera are imported? I'm thinking a setting for import in photoshophas may have been set too low, hence a dark photo, because the difference between the back of the camera and the image popping up in Photoshop is massively different.
I'm assuming that it's no, so I can rule it out and concentrate on what Nikon have to say.
Suddenly, after 3 months of easy use, LR5 says it can't import standard JPEG files form my Olympus OMD
because it can't read them. But iphoto has no problem and imports them easily. This just started happening out of the blue.
I want to import in LR3 a bunch of pictures, some are in JPEG, some in RAW and many in both format duplicates.
How to instruct LR to import the RAW files only if JPEG duplicates exist and to import JPEG if there is no RAW?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nikon D7100 with the card slots allocated for Raw (Slot 1) and JPEG (slot 2). When Importing I would like to convert the raw images in slot 1 to the Adobe DNG format and to have the JPEG images simply imported as JPEGs. I cannot find the correct combinations of preferences/options to make this happen. What happens today is the both images import with the second labeled as a -2 copy of the first image.
