Aug 23, 2013I have a keyboard shortcut for Copy (see directly below). This command doesn't copy multiple. But if I type "Copy" at the comment prompt (AutoCAD 2013) the copy multiple is the default. Copymode is already set to "0".

I can go to Settings>Preferences> and hit the Edit tab, and I make SURE that the "automatically add transition effect" box is NOT checked, click OK but there is still a transition that gets added when two clips are placed next to each other. I turned on the function to check it out, and now I want to get rid of it, and can't find out how to get it to go away!

Mar 26, 2014Each time I boot up the computer, or restart the computer, and each time I connect any USB device to the computer, LR 5 starts up. If there are images on a USB drive (or camera, or phone) I'm connecting - for example, to recharge the cell phone - LR 5 immediately tries to import those images. I almost never want that sort of automatic importing. I can turn off LR and "skip backup" - but there must be some setting which will allow me to have control of when LR opens and when it tries to import.
This happens on the LR 5 installation on my desktop computer, but not on the LR 5 installation on my laptop computer. Both installations are activated with valid reg codes.

Dec 21, 2004When I am working in Photoshop CS, I often use the 'F' command to isolate an image in the middle of a gray space. However, if one selects the image with the selection or crop tool, a too rigourous gesture suddenly causes Photoshop to slide the image away, so then only a part will still be visible. As long as this function is in effect, there seems to be no way to get the entire image centered again in order to determine the crop precisely. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Aug 3, 2011I recently upgraded to Civil 3D 2011 from C3D2010. I have used the same ACAD.PGP file for years that includes the shortcut C for the COPY command. Up until C3D2011 this would always allow me to copy an entity multiple times, (the default when COPYMODE is set to 0).
I am running C3D2011 64bit on WIN 7 64bit OS. It happens with other commands too that use a dialog box normally, i.e. INSERT - it only brings up the command line version of it.

Dec 11, 2013I am having a problem with memory. I am running Windows XP with 4GB ram. when i start laying out in paper space, i copy the window in one page or copy multiple pages, every time i copy a page of window my memory builds up & up & up with each one until it gets to over 2 GB & the it tell me that if i continue with this next process CAD will crash because i have maxed out the virtual memory. This is usually not a problem when i am doing smaller one off drawings with a few pages of windows but when i am doing a bigger project with 20+ pages or windows i run out of memory.
I gave the latest file to my business partner & he does not have this problem at all. He can open up many windows & as many pages as Cad will allow. His memory always fluctuates around the same 2GB. He is running Windows 7 with 4 GB ram.

Dec 31, 2013Any way to turn off the automatic launching of isolation mode on double click. It's highly annoying and slows me down every time I have to exit the mode so I can get back to work. I prefer to select elements using the layers panel, which is much more flexible.
Is there a preference or other setting to disable isolation mode? Especially when using a Wacom pen, it's alll too easy to double-click unintentionally. So disabling it permanently would be a great.

I can copy the viewport and activate it, but the layers setup for that viewport goes to default. So it turns everything on.
I can't make a layer state in the old file and import in new file, because the new file does not have all the same layers. So not all my layers would be turned off in the viewport.

Nov 1, 2013how to add macros to my ACAD 2014 to count blocks, I managed to lose the "copym" command while trying to figure how to create a button in the user interface found in the ribbon bar under the customization tab...when I type copym into the command line, it wants to prompt me to finish the command string using the command "copymode" and doesn't even see that the command "copym" even exists in the list that is created. (the list that's created by an autocomplete function)
I found the command in the list while making a pull down menu item selection button for "copym" utilizing the user interface in the ribbon. I drug the command info for "copym" to the menu bar using the user interface feature. The command is there, all the info seems to be correct, I even managed to make a menu selection for it in the pull down menu. But when I select that menu item, the command line says: UNKNOWN COMMAND "COPYM" Press f1 for help.
I think I accidentally deleted something, just wondering how I can get my "copym" command function back into AutoCAD from never-never land.

Feb 3, 2014I am trying to copy a layout tab inside an AutoCad file into a sheet set I created. All folders and sub folders are created and setup. What I need is to be able to copy the same layout under different sub folders inside sheet set manager.
To explain this better, I have a sheets set with all different departments inside our company (ex. CNC Dept., Bending, Machining, Welding, etc.). Some drawings have information for CNC, Welding and bending dept. Therefore I need to be able to copy the same drawing layout multiple times under each dept folder.
How can I do this? It only allow me to drag and copy the file once. I wont be able to drag it again under another folder.

Oct 30, 2012I have over 2,000 different size psd files, both portrait and landscape, that need to be formatted in 3 main ways.I am looking for some automator or photoshop actions way to do this to save hours and hours and hours of work.
The first step is that each image needs to be proportionally placed into its own tile that is 1110 X 1050. (Each file should keep its original name) Do the images need to be flattened before this is done?Can this be done with photshop actions and/or automator to save time doing it manually?
The second and third steps are to convert the image to a png and to also create the following file sizes/names
185x175 called "title".png,
370x350 called "title"@2x.png,
555x525 called "title"-ipad.png,
1110x1050 called "title"-ipad@2x.png

Aug 22, 2012I don't know how to verbalize this, but earlier I was able to edit poly > select by face > and extrude. Now it only lets me select faces that I can't see in regular view but can see in Hidden Geometry. This is for every single mesh in my scene, and not just the one. How do I make it so that I can select the whole face and not the hidden geometry as well, so that I can extrude. I'm trying to do this assignment for class and have only until Sunday to get this all worked out .
