I also would like to switch to a 2D work space so that I can print. Right now, all 3D images get completely pixelated when I try to print from paper space. How do I create a work space that is 2D so that I can print easier? My co worker has AutoCAD architectural and she can print 3D drawings just fine using her 2D work space.
View 9 RepliesWe are using autocad map 3d 2012. and autocad 2000. when printing an old drawing made in autocad 2000 with version 2012 the bmp files that we inserted are printing pixelated almost like a digital camo would look. if we go back to 2000 they print fine. we are using a canon ipf710 printer/plotter.

It's not too bad but bad enough. The ad is for a retirement community and I'm concerned with the seniors having issue with reading the text. This ad is going in a news paper. I ran a differant one last year and had the same issue. Even though the message got across to the public, the ad still was not up to how I wanted it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA customer sent us their label in an AI file. Trying to print this onto a 3 x 1 label (which is small), the output looks pixelated. Looks like the whole thing is a graphic rather than text.
I have attached an image of the label as an example. **Please note that the label is copyrighted. Please do not re-distribute or otherwise print.**
I am plotting a file that has a pdf referenced into it. The quality of the plot is degraded only at the inserted pdf. The rest of the AutoCAD file looks fine. The inserted pdf is a printed AutoCAD file which looks clear and even has embedded layers and linework I can snap to (which seems to indicate that there is vector information present when it is in Autocad.
I have attached an image with 4 zoomed-in screen shots to show what I'm describing.
I am currently working on wedding invitations with a copied image from google. However, when we go to print the image it comes out grainy and pixelated. I am so new to photoshop I just stare at it blankly. Can you offer some help on how to make the image not so choppy when I have to scale it down and print it. It looks great from far away, but when you actually go to read the thing , I am sure everyone will be " oh, obviously from the computer"

I am building a website using Dreamweaver. I adjust my photos for size In Photoshop Cs3 of course. I then save them for the web on a transparent background as a gif. When I view my image in Dreamweaver the edge of the image appear pixelated (sort of a white aoutline)
I would like to feather some of my images but when I save them and then include them in my webpage the feathered edge is visible as a white outline shadow. The images are fine otherwise.
This also happens if I add a layer style to text such as bevel. The bevel area appears as a large white outline.
I am sure there is a setting I am not aware of. Should I have a specific setting when I save the images for the web?
Many of my pre view photos are becoming pixelated. Only psd & jpeg not my raw files. once they are opened everything is ok. what this is about?

I am having trouble with the clarity of some photos being used in a project. The project has a mixture of both photos and video. The photos are inserted into the overlay tracks in the time line and some have a mask applied to them.
Some photos both with and without mask's appear pixelated both on the time line and when rendered.The file format for the photos are Jpeg and range from 1.85MB to 60MB in size and have no pixelation. In preferences i have in the image section both "anti-flickering" and "Cache image" checked. I have also tried the photos in the first time line and still are not clear.
I'm trying to accomplish the most basic task in VideoStudio Pro x5--making a slideshow with still images and burning that project to DVD. Prior to starting, I decided to do a "screen test". I scanned 3 photographs of varying quality. 2 are professional studio photos that are 3.5" x 5" and one is a candid shot that's a bit grainy at 3.5"x4.5". I scanned all of them with my Epson Perfection V300 to JPEG at 300, 600 and 1200dpi each. I then took the 3 versions of the three images and placed them in the timeline as still photos and then again with a pan/zoom. I noticed a slight difference between the actual photos and the photos when played in the timeline. However, once burned to DVD and watched on my Sony 40" BX42 LCD, the images are pixelated much worse than appears in the timeline. However, the same photographs are much more acceptable once a pan/zoom is placed on them.
For example, one picture I used is 300 dpi (900x1356,1356 height, 24 bitdepth, .99mb).

The above example looks pixelated on DVD, but not as pixelated when pan/zoom is added. The 600dpi (1787x2712, 3.78mb) version of the same photo is not as pixelated as the example, but not as clear as the timeline view or the actual image.
I did the exact same screen test in Pinnacle Studio 11 and received better overall results. I can do a basic slideshow? My images are being scanned with a decent quality scanner and look far superior than what I'm seeing once the images have gone through VideStudio. I'm not looking for exteme detail or expecting HD from a DVD, I just find the amount of pixelation unacceptable.
I am trying to use a reference image on a plane in 3ds Max but everything comes out Blurry and pixelated. I have tried the Customize...Preferences... Viewports option but the Configure driver is greyed out. it says ''Nitrous (direct 3d) 11.0 feature level 11 - ATI Radeon HD 5700'' next to Configure Driver.. (greyed out)

I'm making large prints (40x60) from Illustrator files, and the print plugin requires Photoshop. I am converting the AI file's Document Color Mode to RGB, then exporting to PSD as high-resolution 300ppi, using artboards.
When I export the AI files to PSD and view them in PS, the photographic elements appear pixelated at 100% whereas the text & graphics are smooth and high-res. I've checked the linked photographic files, and they are not pixelated. So what I've had to do is export editable PSDs from AI using the "Write Layers" option, open the files in PS, and then re-place the photographic elements so that they are no longer pixelated.
FYI, Anti-Aliasing is set to Art Optimized (Supersampling). The AI and PS files are both sized to 40x60, and the PSD is opening as 300ppi.
The recent Illustrator CC produces pixelated images job when you choose Save for Web. How to fix this or why it just started happening? CS 5 did not have this issue.

I use Lightroom 5.2 and am having problems when exporting via the Web module. When I use the basic LR HTML template or plug-ins like Juicebox and TTG, there are pixelted lines acorss some (but not all) of the images. This has started to happen in the last few weeks.

When I save the image for web, the preview that opens up, then image is fine again. It seems to be just an on screen, in PS problem.

I have to scale it down small, but I can't figure I've tried different settings with the pdf.I have also scaled it in photoshop and still doesn't matter.

I Have my graphics processor as "Normal" and I haven't messed about with the settings much!
When I create images for my web sites in X4, upload them into Expression Web, insert them into the page and use the thumbnail tool, the thumbnails appear badly pixelated, as though they were posterized. This did not happen when using PSP8. I save my images for the web as 72 DPI, uncompressed JPEGs. There must be something different about the images output from X4 and those output from PSP8. Image info doesn't show anything suspect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the clients at my work is experiencing difficulty printing using AutoCAD LT 2012. When he prints, only a blank page comes out of the printer. I have tested the printer and I am sure it works properly. It printed both a Windows test page and a color photo with no problems, which is leading me to believe that he has a setting within the program that should be changed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe company I purchased AutoCAD 2012 Electrical from had no answers and referred me to Autodesk. Autodesk has told me I have to just live with it because they have no plans to fix the problem, even though they recognize the issue. So I turn to the largest user group I currently have access to.
When I print a drawing, regardless of page size, that contains and image, I have to wait upwards of 10 minutes before the printer sees the drawing and begins to print. The clients I work with use quite a few drawings that contain images and I have days where all I am doing is printing jobs because I have to wait so long.
I have tried to change the print drivers. The printers I use are HP Laser M5035. I connect to them through a network however I have tried to connect to them directly with the same results. The only thing I have found to speed up the proccess, which i find to be rediculous, is to print the job to PDF and then print the PDF to the printer.
I have had the AutoCAD retailer's technicians as well as the Autodesk technicians log into my computer remotely to fix this issue and both recognized the same issue but after a month of trouble shooting I am still at square one.
Before I upgraded to AutoCAD 2012E I had AutoCAD 2009E and printing drawings with images was not nearly as bad. If I did not have to have AutoCAD 2012E I would revert back but this is not an option.
My Raster images TIFF are not printing although they show up in the print preview. They are attached as exernal referneces, loaded and the layers are set to plot. I would like them to plot. Autocad Map 2011
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have problem printing tiff images with a picture in Windows 7, 64 bit only on a laser printers. The processing of even the simplest of drawings to the printer takes too long, more than half an hour after that or stop with the press or to print only part of the drawing.
This problem does not appear when we print only the tiff images on a laser printer or print the entire drawing to a plotter. Also print these drawings with the tiff images without any problems under the previous operating system (XP). Note that we use the latest drivers for all printers.
We are using Illustrator CS4. Until recently, we had been using Freehand. When we place eps files saved from freehand, or open the freehand file in illustrator and drag the image onto our new templates, the image doesn't print. All the layers of our product templates print, and if something is typed or placed from another application, it prints fine. We can sometimes changed the color of the imprint and get it to print, but this doesn't always work.

In CS3 When I went Print-> Photoshop Manages Colors to choose an ICC color profile, there would be a companion Output box, where I could drag the Transfer slider down to brighten the image. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem. I am trying to print an image that is 108" x 94" on 36" self adhesive vinyl. This should be easy right? After all it's just three 36" panels 94" long. ... tell that to x 5! I click the print icon, go into layout and from that point onward I am more spectator than print manager.
Everything I do to try to get the image tiled with 3 x tiles and 0 y tiles is futile. The scale of the image keeps changing, why isn't the scale 100%? I preview the print and the number of tiles keeps changing almost with every effort to print three tiles, at times it looks as if x5 wants to print the image in 8 1/2 x 11 tiles!
Do I need a Phd in computer programming to be able to perform this task which seems to on par with creating the universe in 6 days?
