May 9, 2012I am a newbie just start learning how to use AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D.
I have drawn a 3D polyline, and putting two circles with different diameters on both end, trying to loft it and create a horn-shaped like object.
For some reason, AutoCAD keeps complaining the path I selected is not valid, and so I can't do the loft operation. However, I have 'tested' the path with sweep function, and it works.

Jun 11, 2013I am trying to loft a triangle around the path of a helix. I want the top point of the triangle to be facing in such that the ouside surface is flat (in the veritcal direction) for the entire helix and I have the two triangle cross sections oriented to do as much. Whenever I try loft it, autocad associates sides of the triangle that aren't supposed to connect causing the triangle to twist along the path. Is there a way that I can easily tell autocad which sides I want to connect?

Feb 8, 2011I have 2 rectangles and i want to loft them by path.I want the path to be arc , but i cant draw the arc in isometric view. The objects are positioned something like thes 2 smiles. One is exactly above the other and i want to draw arc to connect them and then use loft but cant make the arc. I tried to draw the arc in Front view, but i then i couldnt use it as loft path.So how to make the arc in 3d?

May 23, 2012I'm building a test track to use on a driving simulator.I'm trying to apply banking to the corners. The track's path is a loft with it's path defined as a line, and the loft shape is a rectangle to represent the cross section of the track. I'm trying to apply banking to the corner by using a different shape part way along the loft... however, the result is that the track twists the wrong way so that the top of the track becomes the side and vice versa.

"There are no registered modules to edit fields or demand loading is currently disabled". When I click OK the Field pop-up appears empty! (see attached)
The BEDIT command is also not working. It was all working up until a few days ago! I have downloaded the most recent Service Pack and it's still not working.

Oct 28, 2011Every time I try and plot a drawing I get this error message:
' YOU CAN NOT USE MULTIPLE INSTANCES AT THE SAME TIME'. The program then freezes for a short while then returns a message saying plot canceled.
I am using Map 3D 2011. Although I did have a trial version of AutoCad 2012 I had no problems plotting on both versions up until recently I have made no changes to any printer configuration, plot files or styles. I removed 2012 after I started getting this message but still I am unable to plot.

May 23, 2008I am getting an error message when I am trying to insert a schedule room tag. It does not matter which room tag out of the content browser I select, I get the same message. the message is as follow: "No symbol has been specified for the tag" All of the tags have worked up until today. Nothing has changed that I know of on our network and all of the paths seem to be pointing to the correct directories. We are currently using Architecture 2008. This problem is only coming up with these specific room tags.

AutoCad :: Error Message In LD 2004 On Vista
May 2, 2008I run Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 on Vista, it works, kind of.
I get this error message when I open the program: "Error writing the acamap.sys file"
When I say OK to the message, the program starts working.
At the end when i close the program i get this message: " Autocad application has stopped working"
The next message after this is: " Download updates for 2004"
Any way to avoid these annoying messages?
AutoCad :: Resource Manager Error Message
Apr 18, 2013I'm getting lots of error messages when I bring up drawings in my 2009LT. Resource Manager Error. Cannot load resource only DLL. File not found, then many similar messages with AecResMgrenu.dLL.
Over and over, keep hitting OK till drawing loads. Not one specific file either.
Also: Unable to locate resource string. Resource Manager is not correctly installed.
Is there a way to fix without reloading 2009LT and having to reset all settings. Can that file AecResMgrenu be replaced. I have backup Program Files on CD.

Feb 20, 2012Opening AutoCAD LT this morning no problem. Closed it down and then opened it up again about 10 to 15mins later and get this message (see attached pdf).

AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Message When Publishing?
Feb 1, 2013I'm using AutoCAD 2013 and I get a fatal error when it pulls up a print preview. If I have "Publish in Backgound" selected it proceeds to print. The error only appears to exisit when it pulling up the print preview. I have installed sp 1.1. I've repaired and reinstalled also. My AutoCAD 2012 is publishing fine.
