Dec 22, 2011I am trying to publish a set of four drawings to a Canon ipf750. I want to make two collated sets. So far I can't get any plot at all.

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish And Automatically Load All Open Drawings?
Sep 20, 2011I don't remember ever using this checkbox on the Publish dialog box but today i want to and i can't figure out how to make it work. The help file ~seems~ to say that if i select this, the contents of all open documents (layouts and/or model space) are automatically loaded.... but they don't.
I know i can pick the Add Sheets button and manually select all the drawings i have open but doesn't that defeat the purpose of this checkbox?
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish Command Won't Publish
May 9, 2013Using AutoCAD 2013, myself and several other coworkers have encountered an error message when creating a pdf with the publish command. I attached a screen shot of it.
We never experienced this in earlier versions. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it has been recurring more in the past month. I have restarted the computer after receiving the message and then invoked the publish command after restart and it was successful. I'm not going to do this every time I publish, nor do I see the need to turn off background plotting. That just seems like a bandaid fix.
I even tried publishing with different page setups to determine if it would react differently to any page setup, but it doesn't. I attached a view of my publish window, as well.

Aug 29, 2011When I publish a drawing as a multipage DWFx (or PDF for that matter) with "Include Layer Information" selected, the Plot Stamp (Simple Date/Time and Text) comes out but on different layers on different layouts.
Example:
First Layout : Plotstamp resides on Layer 0
Second Layout: Plotstamp resides on Layer 3P
Third Layout: EQPT-VC
etc
Some general information:
Autodesk AutoCAD 2011 64bit
Autodesk DesignReview - 2012
Adobe Acrobat X Professional
Layer 0 Is thawed/plotable and on in all layouts, viewports all layers, viewports. It has at least one entity per layout
Is there anyway to rectify this and still use the built-in Plot Stamp?
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish Vs Plot - Image Shifts And Border Cut Off
Aug 13, 2012I have found that when I Publish, the drawing comes out shifted about 1/8" down and 1/8" left as compared to when I use Plot. Which of course is just enough to cut off the sheet border which is 1/2" from the paper edge. I am using the same Page Setup for both Publish and Plot, same drawing.
This is to an Oce TDS600, and it only happens with 15x21 paper size. All paper sizes are set to 0" border. Probably an Oce issue, but have any of you seen this before?

Jun 28, 2012Been attempting to batch plot numerous dwg files to a printer via publisher. Has been successful on 2010, however experiencing difficulties in 2012.
Method used
open dwg file
set page set up to that required
save down dwg
print>Batch plot
add rest of dwg files to be plotted
remove all layouts to retain only Model Space
Highlight all dwgs
Select page set up from currently open dwg file
Publish
Result - only active dwg prints

AutoCad :: Batch Plot 50 Drawings - Publish With Block Stamp?
Jun 20, 2012I'd like to batch plot 50 drawings, all of which have the same title block in the same position. This is easy with the PUBLISH command, but I'd like to be able to add a "stamp" of the customer logo to these drawings, which I have as a block in a separate file. Basically I want to easily be able to plot the same drawings for different customers, the only difference being the customer logo. Is this possible?

My model is done and I formatted my layout with a border and the model to scale in the viewport. When I go to plot to PDF, all I see is the border. I've tried fiddling with colors and viewports but neither of those did anything.

But now it becomes always V10_350-05-A4.pdf...how i get the underscore back to a point?

May 31, 2011I am using Autocad 2010, and have upgraded to windows 7. When I publish to pdf using Dwg to Pdf.pc3, my options (single-sheet file, do not include layers, etc.) are ignored and I always get multi-sheet files with layer information included regardless of what options I select.

Considering that I print 10-15 drawings at one time, I am getting a fatal error every time I print a set. Why? I don't get this error when printing in AutoCAD 2011LT or 2012 Full Version.

Jul 30, 2013I am trying to print of about 50 sheets of cross sections. When i go to an individual sheet and plot the pdf comes out fine, when i try to publish through sheet set, it put the table on top of the section view.

Both are creating the PDF with acroplot . I am using autocad Civil 3d 2013.

Dec 30, 2004We use an in-house plotstamp (not the acad plotstamp) which uses rtext to show the file path and name. It works fine under all circumstances EXCEPT when we plot using the Publish command. The output from Publish shows the file path as the C:Documents and Settings... where the acad2005 software is installed instead of the correct network drive path where the dwg files are located.
Is there a secret setting somewhere that will keep Publish from changing the rtext? If we switch from rtext to fields, would that eliminate the problem?
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish Sheet Name Is Missing Dwg Prefix
Oct 8, 2012One workstation out of 50+/- when we publish, does not show the drawing prefix on the sheets in the "Sheet Name" list. The attached file shows a good list but that one computer is missing the prefix and if we're attempting to publish several drawings in model space, they would all have the same name so AutoCAD will not allow it because they would all have the same name . How do i get this drawing name prefix back?

but the options I'm presented with is either an absolute location, or the drawing folder or subfolder.
Is there a sysvar or a registry setting I can tweak to make this behave to my liking?

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish In 2013 Doesn't Work?
Nov 21, 2013I have C3D 2010, 2011, and 2013 installed on my pc. I use the Publish command almost daily, and haven't had any serious issues with it when using 2010 or 2011. But in 2013, when I publish it just sits on the same screen and never actually publishes. I have tried turning off Publish in Background, I have checked that the printer support paths are the same as in 2010 and 2011, and I have tried Publish with different Page Setups.

Note both PDFs were plotted with essentially the same plot settings, driver excepted...
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: PUBLISH - No Longer Asked About Saving Current List Of Sheets?
Dec 12, 2012When we publish we are always asked if we wish to save the current list of sheets.
See attached screenshot.
One of my users no longer gets this option.
Every time he publishes the program goes directly to the Save List As dialog box so he can name/save a .DSD file. He no longer gets the option of a box asking him if he wants to save the current list of sheets.
My guess is some variable got changed that has removed the option of being prompted about saving the .DSD file.
P.S. We're using AutoCAD 2012.

Dec 17, 2013I have a question about plotting at Canon plotter (Canon imagePROGRAF iPF750) with possible has feature to plot as a drawn area.
Simply say I want to specified only one custom/roll paper size, make it custom size as a default. After that I want to plot exactly the accurate drawn area from my dwg. So with this settings I cannot specified custom paper size for each unique dwg.
For example I'm using this settings with another plotting device -- Xerox WF (picture to see the chosen settings) and working like a charm.

Apr 10, 2006Is is possible to "que" a bunch of drawings to be plotted? I would like to be able to open a drawing and plot it, then while it's plotting, open another drawing and plot it, then another and so on and so on. However, I get an error message stating that another plot is in process and only one plot or publish process can be active at one time. Thus, I'm forced to wait for the last one to complete before sending the next one to the plotter.

I have AutoCAD 2013 and access drawings over VPN (6 meg pipe).
Both opening the drawings and especially printing them take a very long time.
It takes about 8 seconds to open drawings, due to all the modules loading on the bottom-left of AutoCAD. Printing takes even longer than opening the drawings.
Is there a setting I can change to speed-up access time?

Feb 8, 2013When we print from a read-only drawing file that is stored on our local drawing fileserver (a PC on our network that is used to store all finished drawing files) it can take several minutes to open the Plot screen and several more minutes to actually print the drawing. It doesn't matter which printer we use to print to. Some of us have had this problem since AutoCAD 2010 but some have had it only since 2013. However if we use an old AutoCAD 2007 there is no printing delay problem so the server doesn't seem to be the source of the problem.
If we print from a drawing file on our own systems (which is actually working off a local network server unless the server is down then we are working off our own computers that will re-sync with the server when it comes back on line) then there is no delay. I have made some local files read-only to see if that was the trigger but no, they printed just fine.

Apr 2, 2013Every now and then I go back and try to use publish to speed up printing but I always go back to plotting one by one.
I work in a housing construction office and I have 10 separate drawings side by side in model space for house plans that I need plot separate to give to certain people. My problem isn't that I can't publish them separately its that I can't save them over existing pdf's individually predetermined.
Q1. do i just have to go through and change every layout name before or after i publish?
Q2. how do i change the output publish location?
Q3. can each layout be saved to a different existing pdf and remember it?
Q3. can i save these setting across to a new drawing?

May 21, 2013I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.

I've got everything working but I'm prompted at an Adobe prompt (Save PDF File As...) for every sheet
which is overwhelming when I have multiple drawings with multiple sheets.
I don't know how (or if it is possible) to make it just save to the default name and continue onto the next one.
