I have a terrain model (geo tiff) and a satellite image (geo tiff). When I drape the sat image over the terrain and switch to 3d I get the 3D drapped image but not in full resolution.
I want to print the 3D model but in full resolution.
I get the message "Generating Full Resolution Composite" when I try and save even a relatively average (500MB) file. The hard drive light is lit solid and after about 2-4min, it starts saving the image.
I have tried unchecking "Maximize Compatibility",
I have CS2 - is there a way in CS2 (or CS3) to stop the "Generating Full Resolution Composite" message? I don't care about preview icons/thumbnails at all.
I am on a Mac Retina with 16GB of memory . LR4.3 most of the time will not load a full resolution image in the Library module. I can switch to the develop module and it will load. When I return to the Library module it will stay loaded at full resolution. Switching to a different photo in Library will start the same process over again. In the Library module the full resolution will load when a 1:1 is selected. And this happens consistently. But the Library module will not load full resolution by default.A

Problem is setting of the best resolution:
-FULL HD is making these horizontal lines (every other pixel line) if something moves in the picture so its not good
- lower camera setting makes the resolution to 1440x1080 which is 4:3 !! that's not the ratio of today (and youtube) and i didn't even realize it because video studio has 16:9 project settings and the ratio of outputted video seems right?
- Compared these: video 4:3, project 16:9, still images from another camera 4:3 -> fail
what do you recommend, is there a way to get full resolution better without those lines or other way to 16:9 ?
2. Also only recent and fast opening player to play those camera raw videos (.mts) is VLC-player. Is there a way to get it open those videos in zoom mode of 50% or 33% and not 100% they goes over my screen every time!
How can i work with 3ds max 2014 on macbook pro retina using full resolution?
With resolution at 2880x1800 icon and text are too small and 3ds max seem not to do scaling.
With resolution at 1680x1050 works but image is to too blurry...
In the past (but only once), I have used an online service that allowed me to zip a large amount of high-resolution images and upload them to their website in order to transfer them to another person (the other person would download the images at their convenience, within an allotted amount of time), while maintaining their full image quality. I can't remember the name of this service, though. I recall, that, in order to use it, I had to sign up for a free 14-day trial, so it is a paid service, although at the time, I only needed it once (or so I thought).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a museum project. I have been asked to convert full resolution files to web based files using "Save for Web and Devices". The problem is in the file naming. Museums typically use accession #s for each work. Example 1999.63.102 So the digital file would be named 1999.63.102.jpg (or tif).
When I attempt to save the file using "Save for Web and Devices" the resulting name is converted to 1999.jpg I believe the . (periods) to be the culprit. There are hundreds to do so renaming is not an option. This does not occur when I use "Save as".
So my original problem and question was apparently answered by this thread, but I don't understand how to implement the fix. how to adjust the resolution when viewing my model? [URL]...

I've found a pattern that I think is acceptable, from a real image.Now the question is this: how can I colorize the large image to that it is as resemblant as possible to the original one? I realize the nature of my question maybe asking the impossible, but I have a low res image I downloaded from the internet, placed in an InDesign page, blew it up and printed it out. I was going for the distressed look that it has, it looks ok when I print it out considering it's low res and I blew it up fairly large. However, it's a little too pixelated to look professional when printed. Are they any tricks or things I can do to make it look higher res for print. I've attached the image as well as a screenshot of the InDesign file so you can see it in context.

I work thru my viewports in my model space, and I've noticed that when I pan and zoom in or out or move to quickly from one point to another (didn't notice which) my model space swaps to paper even if I'm in a command. Is this something I can deactivate?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy problem today is that I made a Model of a Part of a ship using surfaces rather than solids because the engineer thought it would be easier to bring into ANSYS program for analysis but he is now having a problem with it and I am looking into converting my current model to solid. I can do it but the method I thought of using is quite long winded and we are working to a tight deadline.
1.open up the surface part
2.use "Offset/Thicken"
3.any clashes between parts make a sketch and cut away.
the problem is the amount of plates I have and the time it takes to sort them out.
I then change to my A0 template on a different tab in the same drawing, size up the model in model space within the viewport (everything still fine), then as soon as I scale the model to 1:200 the icons I've added to the drawing (I say icon it's one particular group of icons - CCTV camera icons I've made and added) suddenly become massive and three times the size.
If I add them when already at 1:200 they're fine but it only seems to do this when I actually scale the drawing.
I have a .dxf model and I need the file in .ipt format as a 3d model. (I got the file from a website)
View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically I've got a detail specific to my design, I've extruded all of the layers up to their desired levels etc, but now I want to be able to rotate it all so that instead of these layers being orientated vertically, they are orientated horizontally, if that makes sense. I understand that there is something involved with the UCS but I'm not sure how to get this to work. This may be an issue with my computer as I know my laptop graphics card is pretty rubbish and impacts a lot of 3d programs such as Rhino and SketchUp so this could be the issue here

I have it in a layout (paper space) and used a viewport to get the section I am after but there are some changes in labeling and minor model modifications needed to make it a stand alone model and I do not want to modify the original model to make these changes. How can I take a section like I have in view port and make it into its own model with a different scale so the changes can be made and the original model is left in tact?

Ideally we would like to have a solid model, but I'm running out of time to get this done and the surface model we have would be good enough for our purposes IF I can get the yellow surface tangent lines to turn off or change their color to black.

CIvil 3D 2013 / My drawing opens in layout view and all model objects are appropriately coloured by layer. If I hit plot at this point, my colour dependent .ctb file works fine. However, once I swtich to model view, all my linework turns white and if I switch back to Layout view it remains white and plots each line with the weight assigned to the colour white.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've created a 3D product model in an application that does not have any text capabilities (Autodesk Inventor Fusion 2013). I'm trying to get that model into AfterEffects (AE) via the Photoshop live object technique.
But before I open it in AfterEffects, in Photoshop CS 5.5 Extended, I'm trying to add the product text graphics to the "Diffuse" layer of the model so, when animated in AE, all the text moves with the appropriate perspective, etc.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to format the text to fit the model.
Fusion saves files natively to .DWG format, but they appear non-standard and without some key data.
I was able save the file as a "STEP" file .stp, then translate to .3DS format. That file results in a model that opens just fine in Photoshop and when saved in .psd format, and opened in AE as a Photoshop Live object, works fine. I can't image getting the text on the surface in AE would be easier/better than Photoshop.
Each time I double click on Layer 1's Diffuse (texture) sub-layer (is that the correct term?), I can put some text in the new window, but the scale is always way wrong, the orientaion is 90 degrees off (counter clockwise), and the text is clearly trying to wrap and repeat all around the model. I'm just trying to get a set of text (several pieces in different locations - company name, product name, some small additional text) on one side of the surface bound as if it were part of the model.
As an aside, I did try to add the 3D model, converted to a .DAE file, to presets > meshes as suggested in the help files, so I could treat it like one of the 3D object presets, and add the text that way.
No matter what I do I can't get the mesh to appear in the pre-set list. I don't see any way to "activate" the mesh other than place the file in .DAE format in that folder. Yes, I've exited and re-started Photoshop many times.
you have to primitives, that you've modified. These objects are one on top of the other.When you click on the one that's on top, the screen momentarily goes dark, then all you see is the object on the bottom, not the one you are say, moving.
What you should be seeing, of course is the top element, and bottom element, so, (as in this example) you can see how far you have moved it in relation to the bottom one.
My question is: is this happening because my video card is under performing?

I have managed to create a 2 storey house complete with roof (i.e ground floor, 1st floor and roof).
I have got them all setup in the project navigator under constructs. I can view all three of these layers in 3D by changing the popdown in the view/popdown option but i can't see the 'full' house. i.e. as if i was looking down on the full house from above at an angle and can see the ground floor, 1st floor and roof all at once. I've seen examples in the main page under 'pctures of the week' so i know it can be done.

I have this classic kitchen situation: two boards (in the drawing one is a box, the other a extruded polyline) forming an inner corner. While chamfering all the outside edges I come across one edge (in the drawing the long one of the long board) where I want to chamfer the edge only from the right corner to the point where the two boards meet.
