AutoCAD Map 3D :: Export Text Justification To SDF?
Jan 13, 2012what property do you choose to export the Text justification to SDF?

View 2 Repliesin Autocad when you change the justification of text the insert snap of the text stays fixed and the text changes position around this point.
Using the JUSTIFYTEXT command you can change the justification of the text without changing its position. However this command is operated through the command bar of dynamic input. What I would like to do is to have the justification change in the quick properties this way.
I don't normally deal with multileaders with text although a drawing I have has been done with these.
The leader is justified to the left of the text. If I drag the position of the leader head to the right hand side of the text, the leader still starts from the left hand side of the text (goes at the bottom of the text) so how would I justify the leader position of a multileader to the right hand side of the text?
I had a quick look in the properties pane earlier although am fairly busy and it is only a trivial issue.
Is there any way that you can change the default justification of dtext?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen the senior engineer at our company opens my acad drawings all of the text justification is off.
I'm using acad 2009 mech and saving as to 2007.
He is using 2007 LT?

I've built this nifty block for holdowns, but the attributes get all goofy on me when I use the flip command. The problem is that the justification of the attributes does not change when they are flipped - so if I modify the text in the attribute while the block is in the FLIPPED state, how to modify the justification?Check out the attached file to see what I'm talking about. The block instances are numbered so you can follow along:
1. block is inserted
2. attribute text is modified in NOT FLIPPED state - everything is dandy
3. block is flipped
4. attribute text is modified in FLIPPED state - text justification is jacked up
5. block is flipped again, in order to demonstrate the continued jacked-uppedness of the attribute
is there a way to set the justification to left in the revision table justification? I've tried playing with the formats and I can't get it to do anything but be centred.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAutocad 2013 (64 bit win 7) when selecting a migrated wall style (wall style used in previous version of acad) it shows in properties that it is BASELINE, tho clearly on screen the grips show a left or right justification... THEN when switching the style of the all to something else, it will make the wall BASELINE justification.. which makes the wall move.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIm using CS6 and in InDesign can see all of the text required. When I export to PDF, one line of text is not picked up, this is say line 4 of 8, all the other text is exported correctly. Then when I amend this section by adding text/changing colours, InDesign does not pick up my changes?

View 1 Replies View RelatedCoreldraw has a user-selectable option to export text "As text" (with or without font embedding) or "As curves". But if the text has a transparency applied to it, then Coreldraw always exports it as curves regardless.
This is a bug. The SVG spec clearly states that text is painted like any other path and so can have SVG opacity applied to it.
Problem applies to X6 and X5.

How do I add text labels to points?
I'm exporting DWG objects to a SDF file. Once connected to the SDF file, text items are displayed as points as expected. I have ensured the STRING attribute is present in the conversion and I can see these values in the Properties pallete.
I want to label the points using the Style Editor but try as I might no text label appears. I've checked the obvious stuff like ensuring I'm not using black text on a black background and the text is not so small that I cannot see it.
I can label lines so I know I can do it!
When exporting drawings to PDFs, one computer distorts all text as shown here:
When exporting the exact same file to PDF from any other computer, the text appears correctly as shown here:
All computers are running Inventor 2014. What could cause these results? Can the text settings be customized?
does AutoCad 2012 LT version can export text to csv or excel file
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found a lot of information on exporting BOM lists to excel, access, etc. but what I am trying to accomplish is to export assembly BOMs into a text file that I can import into our ERP software.
Our ERP software requires that the first character of the line be an 'S' then in the next 30 characters is the part number (trailing spaces are ignored) and then the quantity in the next 14 characters and finally the sequence of operations in the remaining 6 characters, a total of 51 characters per line.
I am using Inventor Simulation 2011 and thought that I might be able to do this by creating a custom rule; however, the BOM export snippets simply mirror the export features from the BOM table.
I have been searching for a lisp to export txt to excel.
Every lisp i've come across doesn't quite cut it.
We use AutoCAD LT 2013 and AutoCAD 07.
I want from every txt object (of a certain layer) the content + the X and Y coordinates.
Need to export to excel, just text entities from old drawing. Or convert to table, then export. As long as i can get the text to excel.

I have a column of text (each text line is an individual mtext entity) and I would like them to appear in a column format in excel where each mtext entity has it's own cell.
I have a lot of AutoCAD files which have embedded OLE objects (excel) inside. I want to be able to export only the text from the Excel OLE object using VBA (or Lisp, I don't mind which) without having to fire up the OLE application (i.e. Excel).
The embedded OLE objects have no link to any external files - so I imagine it must all be held somehow inside the AutoCAD file, but how it can be accessed?!!?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using AutoCAD 2000 LT to generate DXF files to drive a CNC router for making panels for electronic equipment, which works fine.
I also want to export DXF files of text to engrave the panels. The router software from Step-Four says it needs the text exploded into objects (lines, curves etc) before importing the DXF file. How do I explode the text in AutoCAD for the DXF files?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to export my annotation settings using the profile function on Autocad 2010. I can't get it to work, and I don't think this is the best way to achieve my goal. I've made a template file, but I don't know how to import it.
My goal is to, as quickly as possible, give 8 drawings the same annotation settings.
i need to export 7 million points from a tin surface to text file with only NEZ in comma delimited format for Surfer 9 software. right now i have the civil 3d surface. but the export to csv stock reporting tool sucks. why the hell do you open the file and why leave an empty row between data points? so it's not usable.
also i have 12gb ram at work and it can't export surface points to autocad format ran out of memory. this is with surface display showing points and just the "dot" style so it's autocad points after export. i was originally planning on using "dataextraction" command in autocad to export to csv. worked on a small batch of file. so i think may work for the bigger file. but i would never know because i can't even get the points into autocad.
also yeah i would love to simplify the surface but it's so buggy that you asked it to remove 80% of the points it only remove 100k points at most out of 7 million. so not usable.
last resort is i can program something in vb.net but not much motivation on doing so.
I created a sketch that I would like to use in an iFeature. The sketch dimensions are controlled with an ilogic rule referencing a multi value text user parameter, eg the text parameter pull down menu controls the size of the part.
Is there an easy way to get this parameter into an ifeature or derived part?
