AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How To Represent Bottomless Arch (arch Span)
Mar 14, 2012How to represent a bottomless arch (arch span)? I can make a horizontal arch pipe, but I only need the top half. I also thought about building a corridor.
We do have a storm drain system running perpendicular above it and need to show the arch as a crossing. Corridor would work but I think I would prefer a pipe network-type solution.
AutoCad :: Adobe PDF Printer Selection- Won't Let Print Arch D Size
Mar 6, 2013When I am in page setup manager and want to use the "Adobe PDF" plotter device, I can't set a paper size other than the standard one like letter, legal, 11x17 ect. I need to have the "Adope PDF" plotter to print a Arch D size paper but that selection dosent even show up.
I have troubleshooted all the usual supects, of going to properties next to the printer selection bringing me to the plotter configeration page, where in the device and documents tab I then proceed to the custom properties selection, where the adobe document properties page comes up and under the adobe pdf setting tab...I still cant change or find the Arch D 24x36 paper size under the adobe pdf paper size selection tab other than the standard seletions.

Feb 22, 2012Among about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.

May 28, 2013"Contact page" when images get transported on to page they reduce in size.I have also tried dragging the pictures onto the page but they still reduce in size.

Photoshop :: Difference In Document Size
Jan 25, 2013The difference in document size between PS6 and Bridge 6. After the final editing, the picture (PSD) size will be say 85 MB in PS6. However, viewing the same picture in Bridge, or Windows Explorer, the size will be 150 MB.
I should also mention that the pictures were passed through LR4, then on to PS.
Lightroom :: File Size Difference In LR And PS?
Aug 18, 2013LR 5 shows them as 16mb files. PS CC shows them as 91mb files. Finder shows one as 95mb and the other as 234mb.
I'm pretty new to LR and have been doing LR editing and then using NIK plugins or Perfect Photo Suite and sometimes PS, always saving them back to LR and printing in LR. Often I wind up with 3 or 4 files. Part of this is because after printing , I export the file to my "printed" folder which allows me to easily find all I feel were good enough to actually print at some later date. I'm sure some of this is that I still am not completely trusting LR because I'm still surprised with things like this from time to time... I'll get there.
But how can I figure out why these file sizes are so disparate?

Aug 16, 2006If I open a JPEG file of say 75kb, make some modifications and save at max. resolution (to avoid as much degradation as possible) it ends up 225kb. Question how would I retain the original 75kb? Why would max. add kb if there are only 75kb to begin with? I would assume the max. would leave it as close to the original as possible.

AutoCad :: Size Sheet To Draw?
Jan 16, 2012I am trying to set up a layout. I have drawn my paper. I have inserted my viewport. I set my scale and lock the view port.
What size sheet do i draw? An A1 standard ISO? or my printable sheet size? When I pick a window to plot my drawing surely I should pick the ISO A1 sheet edges and then it would print out the boarder and all the detail within it (the boarder within being the printable area). If I've set my scale of the view port and locked it, then print at a 1:1 scale this should be fine... right?...
I'm using full AutoCAD 2006.

Sep 27, 2012I am having an issue with changing sheet sizes using VBA. Due to the constraints under which my borders and title blocks were created, inventor forces me to delete the current border before changing the sheet size. I have 5 different borders and 2 title blocks.

Aug 8, 2012Is there a way, using VBA to get the sheet size of a drawing without opening the drawing? I know how to get it with the drawing open, so alternatively, is there a way to open all the drawings in a folder, one at a time, then get sheet.size, then close and open the next?

Dec 19, 2013I have created a rule that will replace the border sheet when the sheet size will be changed, so users won't have to do it manually.
The problem is that the rule won't run when the sheet size is changed. I find that events for triggering the rules are rather few under drawing enviroment.
I thought to use "iProperty Change" event, providing I assign the SheetSize to a Custom iProperty, but the iProperty won't update automatically as well.

Using the API I am changing the Drawing Sheet Size Enumerator to the Custom Sheet size which allows the user to enter in custom values. That part is all working fine. My problem is that when a custom size is used in my title block it says that the size is "Custom Size (mm)". I know that the API uses cm for the sheet size units so I have the code convert the values into cm.
In the sheet settings window built into inventor it has the option for Custom Size (inches) and Custom Size (mm). How do I change whether it is inches or mm?

Sep 2, 2011I have 5 plans in a single autocad file. I recently saw a layout option that fixes the view and the areas that you want to print. I want to do like this.
1 layout I want to create is of an A1 size sheet on which these 4 floor plans are placed in a square fashion, i.e. each plan on one vertice of a square. I want to set the printer output option as a postscript level 2 file in another layout I want to put the site plan on an A1 sheet. Here I also want a postcript level 2 file.
However in my original drawing, these plans are placed next to each other in a linear fashion. Is this possible?

- HP T110044 plotter.
- All drawings in this project (oops did a saveas and now I screwed).
- All Windows 7-64bit
- AutoCAD 2013
- drawings have Revit AutoCAD dumps X-referenced to them
- Title block is x-refed and created same way as above
- drawing scale is Unitles as well as insert units
- plot preview shows a drawing at 100%
- Drawings will plot fine to 50% scale and 100% scale to PDF but NOT100% to the HP plotter.
- when ploting to 100% size, plotter progress bar in AutoCAD takes awhile, hangs, then dissapears and a new bar appears and jumps across and spits out a blank sheet.
-I have the "plot paperspace last" checkbox checked.
- Could my plotter driver be corrupted?
- Tried on several machines and same thing happend.
