Say I had two tables located within AutoCAD, can I make it to where if I put data in one cell of one of the tables that it could automatically populate in a different cell in the other table? Also if this can be done, could it be done linking the data in-between separate layouts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add a table that I can edit like an attribute but have it in a block, Basically I am trying to put information for all the poles in an electrical panel, but im not using MV parts just a block is there anything that can be recommended in this instance.
Just another note I need to reference 72 poles and 5 colums for each of these.
I am not sure this is even possible, but could I use some sort of invisible block attribute data and everytime I insert it into a drawing (I use the same block multiple times within a drawing) it would autopopulate fields in a table. For example I have a smoke detector symbol I insert, I also have a specific address associated with every single detection symbol I insert into a drawing, would I be able to attach data such as what type of detector it may be and have the address and type automatically populate in a table everytime I insert my block into a drawing?

My goal is to be able to update the block table using VBA to push data from an excel file. I do have import/export code that will update block attributes, but I am not sure the functions that would access the table properties.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe angle or radius are outside the table boundaries. I have used bend tables before and have not run into this. See screenshot. What I don't understand is that in the error dialog box the Thickness is correct the Radii are correct and the Angle is correct except it is showing a -90 degrees. Is that the problem? The negetive? Why is it showing a negative number. I can't change the way the part is formed. The problem seems to be with the lower left hand curl. It does go ahead and flatten it, but I don't trust the results when I have the three errors.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.
I have a part where I have placed a number of table driven iFeatures. These features generate parameters in the model that I can see in the parameter table. I am trying to find a way to have these iFeature parameters show up in the hole table in my drawing.
By 'exporting' the parameters, I have been able to get the values to show in notes and drawing view labels but I can't find a way to add them as a 'New Property' in my hole table.
Having an issue trying to join an access table to a shp file attribute table. I want to use the access table to cross reference the shp file for matching parcel numbers. I have attached the access table in the ODBC using a data source name however it seems to not give me the option to view any records.

We would like to be able to deliver the CAD drawings to the client without having to send our calculation books (just the output tables). In other words, is it possible to embed the table data and remove the excel link for the final delivery?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi try to copy one table from dwg to current dwg which is opened. I have a little success - my table is copied to current dwg. But when i click text in cell or try to activate table, AutoCAD hangs.
I think that my code does not copy the table. And these table that i see in the current dwg this is table from source dwg.
I tried to bring in a shapefile to AutoCad Map 3D 2013 and I realized the attributes in the table were incorrect. There should be no negatives for the column CLN_NUM_ID.
And it appeared that the CLN_NUM_ID is totally incorrect. Then I realized the data type of CLN_NUM_ID is Long integer so I changed the datatype to DOUBLE in ArcMap. When I brought in the shape file, the program crashed.
Is that possible to read the Autocad Table data , without opening the Autocad from VB.NET. I tried with opening one autocad then loading the source dll. it was working perfectly.
But i need to without opening a application its possible or not?
I need to add table in acad as an external reference via ms excel.

By default it prints the lines around and inside the table, I want to change it that it is not visible on my print, but I don't know which property I should use and how I can do it.
I am creating a table where I want the cell contents to be aligned Middle Center. I can set that up in the table definition and it seems to be in place once the table is in the drawing. If I type text into the cell the alignment is as expected. Whenever I type a number the aligment changes to Top Right. I can go back into the cell and reset the alignment to Middle Center. If I then delete the cell contents, exit the cell then return to the cell and enter a number the alignment returns to Top Right. I want the table to start off empty so others can enter informaiton as it becomes available. Is there a way to have the cell alignment stay the way I wnat it regardless of what I enter into the cell? I tried changing the cell format to text but the instant I entered a number it switched back to a number format and aligned Top Right.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Autocad LT 2012 on Windows 7 Professional. I'm also using Microsoft Office Professional 2010. My question is how to change the colour of all cells in a table at once. For example, I copy a section of an Excel spreadsheet, then use "Paste Special", "Autocad LT entities", to paste it into AutoCad. I would like all the text to be coloured "by layer". If I select all the text and go to "properties", the text colour is set to "by block". I can change this to "by layer", but nothing changes. The only way I can seem to get it to change is by selecting the text in an individual cell, highlighting it, and then changing the colour in the text formatting toolbar. I have to then do this for each individual cell. Is there a way to change them all at once?

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe've just replaced two users windows xp x64 pro machines with Windows 7 x64 pro and as a result have had to purchase AutoCAD LT 2013 for both (one was using LT2002, the other LT2006).
Now however the drawings that they open have tables with text in that aligned perfectly when viewed in 2002 / 2006 but 2013 shows some of the characters outside of the table?
We thought it could be because of custom fonts we use but I have copied them across to Control Panel > Fonts on both machines and Installed AutoCAD LT 2013 Service Pack 1, again to both machines but to no avail .
