I have an Inventor assembly that I am trying to open in Showcase to produce a nice render of.
I get this error, how can I determine what is wrong or how to fix? My assembly doesnt show any errors?

How to import the inventor studio animation to autodesk showcase? i have created the animation by inventor studio and i gonna record it as a movie but then i found that the movie quality is terrible and its take very very very long time to proceed if using inventor!

I've just downloaded AutoCAD 2014 Student Version, and I can't seem to make my status bar on the bottom work. It's pretty annoying, as I couldn't manage to find the solution yet, did the access path to it changed compared to previous versions?
It's just blank grey (where OSNAP, DUCS, and other fun stuff's icons should be).
How come when I publish to plotter the layouts in a dwg in 2014 they stay in perpetual publish status and don't plot, but open same dwg in 2013, publish and almost by the time I get to the printer, all 7 layouts have printed.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe are being pushed from some of our customers to supply BIM files for Revit.I was told by our software supplier that Inventor 2014 could create Revit files, and it looks as though I can via the BIM Tab on the Ribbon. I havent used Revit or created any BIM content before and I was hoping to open another manufactures file (*.RFA) in Inventor to disect the file and how to create our own files. I can only find an import option in the OPEN dialog box for a Revit Project File (*.rvt). Is it possable to open/import a RFA files in Inventor 2014?

When I import my inventor model into showcase it sometimes recognizes the constraints in "behavior" but it never will "operate" the constraints in "behavior". I have made sure the constraint name matches the name in showcase and made sure the box is checked to import my constraints.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding display problems when I import my Inventor assembly into Showcase and try to apply ray tracing. The assembly file is now missing some part and does not display at all. The assembly file is model that has been designed with frame generator however some of these framed generated parts just don't display. The strange this is they do display in other less desired formats such as shaded etc but not when ray tracing.

I have some Inventor models with decals applied in Inventor. However, when these models are imported into Showcase, the decals are missing.
I just can't find any info about this in Showcase or on Google.
When I import an Inventor model to Showcase, bolted connections are missing the bolt. I get the washers and nuts but the bolt is gone. I can overcome this by saving the bolt part in a project folder but this is time consuming.
Are there some settings I am missing or is it just another item to add to the fixit list?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the enhancements in 2013 is that users can send models to Showcase and convert constraints into animated behaviors, however, some users wonder if there is any way to select constraints which are within the subassemblies instead of the top assembly, how would you do it?
I have selected constraints in subassemblies but they don't become behaviors. The workflow allows users to select them, but they aren't converted into behaviors.
I receive an "Import failed" message when trying to import my iPhoto library to my trial version of PE11. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 and using iPhoto 11. I have tried 4 or 5 times now with the same result.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open a file in Inventor a dialog box comes up that says "Updating file status from vault". In most cases it is not a big deal, but when an 1000+ part assembly is opened this box flashes for each part in the assemly causing a delay in opening the file. Needless to say this is very annoying. So my questions are what is this doing exactly and can I turn it off?

I have a sketch that Inventor changes its status between under constrained, over constrained, and fully constrained depending on dimensions (makes sense), and wether I rebuild the model (WTF?).
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open the attached .ipt file.
2) Examine Sketch11 (under Face3) It should be fully constrained.
3) Exit the sketch. Open the parameters dialog and change the value of "angle" from 45 to 60. (If you get an error message change it to 50 first, then 60. It's a work in progress.)
4) Re-examine Sketch11. It is now under constrained.
5) Exit the skecth and go to the manage tab. Click "Rebuild All".
6) Re-examine Sketch11. It is now fully constrained.
7) Scratch your head and post back with your theory.
I have a ipt file in my assembly and try to makes some constraints. Everything ios working well, but there are some suppressed workplanes, and I don't want to use them for a automatically created constraint. Is there a way to find out the workplane suppress status?
Why are they suppressed? They are defined on a part feature (extrusion surface). And when I supress that feature, also the Workplane is suppressed.
But I only can get the visible status. Maybe there's a way to get it about the part feature, but therefore, I have to search for the part feature, and that's also a problem. I cannot get the part feature, who is used for the workplane definition (I think, it's a problem of my knowledge )

Note In an assembly view, components can be excluded from sectioning. In the browser, right-click the component to exclude, and then select None.

I´m working on an addin that needs the vaultAddin ( Inventor Vault / InventorVault.dll ) to update it´s vaultinfo via API.
Since the vaultaddins browserpane.control is an activeX control I can´t access it, and the addin has not implemented a hook to the browserpane.refresh() or browserpane.update() ( causes a crash )
So how do I refresh the vaultAddins information on "what´s actually going on in the vault" through API ?
It seems like I "just" need a reference to the same eventhandler the "refresh vault status" button is calling, but that might be wishfull thinking..?

I'm using C3D 2014. I created a pipe network, exported it to Hydraflow Storm Sewer, perfermed an analysis, and have HGL/flow data. When trying to import the .STM file, nothing happens. Here's what it does:
1) Import .STM into a Blank/New Drawing -> Creates a pipe network with correct IE, Size, and HGL/Flow Data
2) Import .STM into design drawing -> Choose to Update Network -> No change in network (IE, HGL, etc.)
3) Import .STM into design drawing -> Choose to Create a New Network -> Does not create a new network
I've tried closing C3D, and checking, still no change.
I am looking to check the hiddenline status of a part in a drawing. The drawing is made from an assembly. I dont want to take all the segments from the view and check for each of them. I want a way I can just grab the entities that are made from an occurence.
I was hopping to use the drawingcurve(modelobject), but I dont know what to use as the modelobject! is it the edge, edges, component definition... Here some of the code that is not working.

we've loaded Inventor 2012 on an new PC and it did not load the "FILE STATUS" box under the Model Tab in the Browser - I know there is a way to "turn" it on but have lost those instructions.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLet's start with my setup. I am on an iMac running Mavericks, which has been loaded since the first day of relesae. I have been using Lightroom with my camera since then with no sign of trouble and my camera is a Nikon D7000. I am not a newbie to Lightroom.
Here's what happened. Started Lightroom, plugged in D7000, turned camera on, went to Import screen. Unchecked a few images, created a folder for them to go to, applied 'Auto Tone' & copyright, did not rename the images. Hit Import. Then window pops up (which I didn't make a note of because I thought I could try it again) says error with the folowing files 1-100 (with checkbox) 101-200 with checkbox etc. So closed it out. No images were imported. Went back to Import only to see that the camera is not being seen at all, not even a camera error message.
So, I did the folowing things. I have restarted Lightroom, turned the camera on/off, disconnected/reconnected the camera in a variety of situations such as, before app launch & after app launch. I even tried to import via Bridge but no camera. Did I mess up the Camera profiles?
I am getting the following two errors when try to Mapimport either SDF or SHP files. Is there a setting I'm missing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to build my first catalog and keep getting an Import Failed on certain files. These are .jpg images and can be opend outsid eof PSE 12 just fine. I've looked at the image properties and they look fine (just as fine as images that are able to be imported). Is there anything that can be done? I'm trying to move off of Picasa and these images have been imported just fine into Picasa.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI open two different drawings, I'll call X and Y. I make X current. Using the setting tabs of the prospector I go to Y drawing and click the plus and open the styles i want to insert into X drawing. So for example I open <General <Label Styles <Note Elevation and drag that style into my X drawing. I go and look at my X drawing <General <Label Styles <Note and see that Elevation is not there.
I have tried using AeccImportStylesAndSettings and also I'm running the sincpac which has an import civil styles function that does not work either. I went to a co-workers machine and he can get the styles import function to work just fine.
why I may not be able to get this to work? I even tried to create a new layout from template and still could not get beyond the styles that are default to my current drawing. My only option is to create the styles manually and that is, well, not an option.
