View 5 Replies View RelatedI made a toolbar button with the macros @, and tried also @ pause.
I need this in order to shorten the procedure for relative coordinate input, but, after pressing the button the last point is entered and i cannot continue entering values like in the manual input at the command like, like: @5,5
Even if i use the "@ pause " sequence it doesn't work.
How to wait for user input?
My need is to create up to 50 points from the same origin in a three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system but I’d also like to have a labels for each point that show up in the feature tree.
Are there Inventor 2013 plugin (i.e., add-on, 3rd party, AP) to convert a list 3D Cartesian coordinate system locations (i.e., points) to Inventor to work points(x, y, z)?
I found that I cannot create 3D points in the assembly. Is this correct? I did find that an Inventor part may be used to create a 3D sketch that creates points in 3D space. In the past few days, I found two ways to create 3D points within a iPRT; the batch way uses an Excel file but it then does not allow me to name the points in the feature tree. The second way is to create them one at a time but that take way too much time.
To simplify lets say I have a square plate, vertically positioned. I have a square tube that I wish to cantilever off the plate and weld into place horizontally. EVERY time I bring that square tube in (lets say its a subassembly of its own rather than a part), it is precisely 1 inch below the top of the plate and 1 in in from the left edge.
make that happen where maybe I bring the part in and click on the two faces, it knows the other two contraints?
When using Lightroom 5's Adjustment Brush the toolbar under the image that contains "Edit Pins and Show Mask Overlay" is missing. I must have turned it off by mistake but how do I restore it ?.

I've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
In Photoshop CS6, a very important button is missing from the toolbar — the one to show two images side-by-side or above-and-below, and multiple images in other arrangements. I need this button — it’s an important part of my. (BTW, the button is still in Illustrator CS6.)

Is there a way in ilogic to get a input box to come up when I place my part in an assembly (like an ipart)?
I am UNABLE to follow a tutorial on how to make a repeatable pattern using 'texture transfer' on some fire I want to make into a pattern!!! every time I select the area I want to use and the 'input map' and paste as new image and I tell Resynthesizer to use that image it ALWAYS errors out as "The Input Map Should Be The Same Size As The Input Texture Image" according to the tutorial another person gave me on this forum he said NOTHING about being the same size!!! in fact, his selection was SMALLER than the actual image that he was using Resynthesizer on!!!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am currently running Inventor 2009 64-bit SP2 and periodically (and only recently), I have had the problem of my keyboard keys not displaying what I am typing. This is only affecting Inventor and no other program to my knowledge. To make matters worse, it happens absolutely randomly. In fact, it happened just 4 minutes ago, which prompted this post! I was typing some words out and in the middle of the word, it changed what the inputted keys were. To give an example, the letter P comes in as L. The letter S, comes in as the letter G. The letter M comes in as semicolon. Catch my drift? At first I thought it changed to a Dvorak key setting, but even if that were the case (which it is not), why would it do it randomly?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I create a rectangular box in Autodesk Inventor 2008, shell it, and create a new sketch on any face and press E I expect to be greeted with the extrusion options. This does not happen, and a command alias input dialog appears in the status bar.
I really want to turn this off, since it has happened on other occasions as well. Since there's no other way to get to the extrusion feature, it completely halts my work.
Usually when I don't know what a feature is for and I'm not attempting to use it I expect to not see it- especially when I perform actions that don't usually bring it up. I'm not sure why the behavior has been put there. Hopefully it's not put into later versions (I've seen 2010 complaints as well) so someday an upgrade will remove the annoyance.
One of my users has this program installed, however he does not get hte "mini toolbar" when selecting objects. I may not be describing it right, but this is what it should look like..I've tried looking it up online and in the Help section of the program but it doesn't seem as if there is a way to turn it off let alone turn it back on. Am i missing something here?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to create a custom control (text box) that I can add to a toolbar? Everything I've seen simply has a button on a toolbar.
This is my idea:
1. Click on a sketch dimension/property.
2. Dimension/property name shows up in said textbox.
3. Editing the textbox will update the name of the dimension/property.
I'm having a real problem with a part I'm trying to develop:
I'm attempting to have a single timber part that has several draft face features within it, so I can control the bevelsa on the part with iLogic at a later date. The problem I'm having is that when the "running bevel" changes direction it throws out the bevels on the ends. (I've attached the file, it's very difficult to put into words.
But basically: When the running bevel is "forward" the end bevel measures 20degrees (as it should) When I flip the running bevel to "backwards" the same end bevel now measure 19.7degrees while the input parameter still says 20.
I have a user who's QA Toolbar is so light it is hard to see. I have tried to adjust all of his settings and it still looks washed out like it is faded back. Like it does for the inactive icons but with all of them yet lighter...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a VBA program (form with options) that modifies our parts list and saves the information to a text file for use by our purchasing dept. software. I need to be able to run this program on multiple IDW files whenever I have them open and whenever I need. How can I place it on the toolbar (ribbon) for easy access across any open file.
As of now the only I see is to export the form,, then import it to every IDW file, there has to be an easier way.
The Mini Toolbar for Extruding/Sketching on the face of a part is larger than normal (almost as if it has been magnified)?
I have attached a screan capture to show this, you can see the size of the Mini Toolbar in relation to the standard sized View Cube.

Is it possible?. Using Inventor 2013 and Win7 64 bit.
We have a problem at work with buttons disappearing from the quick access toolbar.
I already looked around and it is being said that it is a bug, wich can be fixed with a service pack. I work in a big company, and they are refusing to do the service pack.
So the next best thing I can figure is to make a macro, wich will add all the macros I want to the quick access toolbar in assembly level, part level, sketch level and drawing level.
I am trying to add a button to the Quick Access Toolbar in Inventor 2013 Professional. The button shows up, but it is always at the end of the toolbar. I want it to appear befor the Open button.
Here is what I am doing:
CommandControls AssemblyQATControls = oAssemblyRibbon.QuickAccessControls;CommandControls PartQATControls = oPartRibbon.QuickAccessControls; // Add Mybutton to Quick Access Toolbars.AssemblyQATControls.AddButton(Mybutton, false, true, "Open", true);PartQATControls.AddButton(Mybutton, false, true, "Open", true);
