When using Lightroom 5's Adjustment Brush the toolbar under the image that contains "Edit Pins and Show Mask Overlay" is missing. I must have turned it off by mistake but how do I restore it ?.
View 2 RepliesAfter checking the box, as I paint, the red color is no longer there.
Instead, I can barely make out a very faint pink that does not appear to cover the image. It no longer paint is red.
I have closed and reopened LR and I have warm and cold booted my computer (many times). The red is gone.
I was entitled to a free upgrade to CS4 which I have installed but I now have many problems in trying to get CS4 to run properly.
1. Sometimes CS4 will open but the toolbar with FILE, EDIT is missing
2. Mostly when I open CS4 IF I click on 'FILE' everything is greyed out apart from Import, Automate and scripts and CS4 hangs.
3. If I click on FILE to try and open a file that too is greyed out until I click on 'Clear open recent'
4. If I open a image and want to get rid of any blemishes with the spot healing brush I can select the tool, click on a spot and a nice splodge is left on the image but the tool does not clear the blemish until I click on a completely different tool. eg. Text or anything.
5. Using Unsharp mask As I move the 'Radius' Nothing happens for ages.
So I have absolutely no idea why this these things are happening.
My System is Windows Vista
4GB Ram (although CS4 only thinks I have just under 2GB
CPU Intel Dual core 2.2GHZ
Graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce 7300 GT and last week I downloaded a new driver to 7.15.11.7824
I have played with the cache and memory allocation, to no avail
I cannot get rid of the selected mask overlay while using the gradient tool. Pressing O doesn't have any effect, and in the toolbar, there IS a "show edit pins" option, but there is NO "show selected mask overlay" option. The mask appears to be permanently on, in blue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNo pin presents on an image when I open Blur/Field. The cursor displays a pin but when clicked on the image no pin is visually placed.
Blur does occur when a pin is placed but no on image blur ring control presents. Also, when the image opens in Blur (with Field Blur checked) the Blur slider sets about a third over to the right so the image is pre-blurred. Is this a bug or have I overlooked some setting?

you hover over the pin of an active brush and the overlay appears.you move off the pin, but the overlay stays.when you now continue to brush, the overlay is erased in shrap edged, blocky strokes as if the brush was a square shape with no feathering.
From all I can remember, it seems to be triggered only by larger brush sizes. Toggling the brushes panel or the overlay usually clears it up. It seems to be purely a display glitch not affecting the actual brush.
We’ve seen this happening in LR3, so it’s not new.
In Photoshop CS6, a very important button is missing from the toolbar — the one to show two images side-by-side or above-and-below, and multiple images in other arrangements. I need this button — it’s an important part of my. (BTW, the button is still in Illustrator CS6.)
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently subscribed to the Creative Cloud and installed both Photoshop and Lightroom.
After working with the new LR5 for the first few days I noticed that when I am within the Lens Correction and I click 'Manual' in order to manually correct perspective you always get a grid overlay that shows up when you hover over the different Transform options (Distortion, vertical, horizontal, etc...) and it no longer shows the overlay.
In order for me to correct the perspective I have to manually click Option+Comand+O in order to get the grid, which is a little bit annoying since it was automatic before.
filmstrip appears on bottom but the compare option, before and after and slide to enlarge grid view are all missing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhy is it when I edit an image in lightroom 4 then go to retouch etc in photoshop cs5 those adjustements that I made on the image in lightroom ie contrast, saturation, exposure etc don't show up when I move the raw image into photoshop to do final retouching on the image but still have it in my lightroom catalog? It is the camera raw issue that comes up when you first try to edit an image and lightroom says it needs camera 7.0 which does't exist yet?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I edit (a copy) of an image in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.3 (Photo/Edit-In), after I save and close the image in CS6 the new psd image does not show in Lightroom. In order to see the image in Lightroom, I need to close Lightroom and then reopen Lightroom. It is almost like Lightroom needs to "refresh". Any solution that does not require me to close Lightroom? I have tried to use View/Sort by extension, filename, edit time, etc. with no effect.

I imported some pictures into LIghtroom 5 with the SAME jpg numbers as a prior import. The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. Were there problems with the import?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that some of my photos are missing from the library in lightroom, specifically the original versions of photos that have virtual copies edited in photoshop in folders that have since been synchronized. Weird, and very anoying. The files are still there (in wondows explorer) but when I try to re-import them lightroom doesn't see them, only the PS edited copies (.tif files). I told lightroom to allow duplicates and it sees all the photos in the folder except those missing ones. This does not happen to my PS edited virtual copies in folders that have not been synchronized. It is not a matter of stacking, or at least Lightroom does not think the PS copies are stacked at all so I can't unstack them. How to get them back into lightroom (preferably with the accompanying development settings) and also how to avoid this problem in the future.
PS: I import files from my camcorder using a different program because lightroom does not acknowledge that particular video file format. That's why I have to synchronize some folders and not others.
ive had to reinstall photoshop after my pc crashed, now the problem i have is ive lost the second tool bar under the main one , the one that contains the redeye removal button (i still have the one on the left).

1 Sure but where are the Autocad icons actually hidden?
2 Why did they get lost in the first place ? The cui does some odd things at times.
3 What is the right spot to add the path changing file support paths makes no difference. (includes reboots)
Other machines here are fine don't want the same problem with theirs when we add the new toolbars.
As an extra we run new workspaces to avoid this problem but the original Civil 3D workspace is corrupt maybe.
I am currently working in Autodesktop 2006 at the moment and have somehow misplaced my Express Tools "Layers" toolbar. I don't remember touching it, but it's now gone. I've toggled it on and off with no luck.

Never mind. I just reset the profile and dealt with it that way.
I only turned my back on my daughter for a moment; but before I knew it she had rearranged everything on my computer. I don't know how she managed it; now I don't have a "Draw" toolbar on the screen anymore! I don't know where it's gone, and I haven't got a clue how to get it back. I have right-clicked on the side of the screen and selected the ACAD tab etc. and the "Draw" option is ticked.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI created two projects for a dance performance:
Project A was for the first half. It had 2 video tracks, an audio track, and a text track.
Project B had 2 video tracks an audio track & a text track.
I opened VideoStudio 5 with no project loaded.
I then went into share mode & picked generate a DVD
I then loaded project A & then loaded project B
I built a main menu which had links for project A & B
I built a "sub" menu for project A
I built a "sub" menu for project B.
I then previewed (via the DVD preview option in the SHARE step of videostudio) all menu choices. Project A & Project B played perfectly meaning that ALL tracks played at the proper time.
I then generated an actual DVD and an iso file.
I saved the project file that was used to generate the DVD.
When I played the DVD all of the effects and tracks worked for the project A material. However, only the main video track played for the project B material. In other words the overlay video track & the text tracks were ignored. I created another DVD from the iso with the same "bogus" results.
I then opened the the project that was used to generate the DVD. I went to share ... generate DVD ... preview project B worked perfectly (i.e. it utilized the overlay and text tracks).
In other words the generated DVD didn't include the video overlay & text tracks for project B. Yet when you preview it inside of VideoStudio share dvd preview the overlay track & text appears.
I have since generated a video only file for project B & the overlay & text tracks are there.
I assumed that you could import 2 vsp projects into one project during the share step when you create a DVD. Is this the problem? Or is there a bug in VideoStudio pro 5?
I am trying to use the crop tool but it appears to be missing from the toolbar on the left. I have Photoshop CS6 and I simply can't work out how to find the tool.
