AutoCAD Inventor :: Scroll Wheel Reversal

Jun 10, 2003

Is there any way to change the annoying reversed zoom/scroll wheel direction? It would be nice if the zoom/scrolling functioned like MDT....and autocentered with the crosshairs like MDT while zooming too....maybe I should give it up.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Orbit With Mouse Scroll Wheel?

May 7, 2008

I've just started with Inventor 2009 and have found that you as default you cannot orbit around by pressing in the mouse scroll wheel, holding ctrl (or shift) and moving around.

This works in AutoCAD 2009 3D and all other 3D software I have used, so I'm assuming that there is a simple setting somewhere to activate this?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Mouse Scroll Wheel - Zooming Increments

Nov 19, 2012

When zooming in and out using the mouse wheel, the increments used in zooming are rather course.

I've tried changing the windows mouse options to no effect within Inventor.  I've also looked around the application settings and could not readily find any options which adjusts zooming increment.

Is there even such an option, or am I out of luck on this one?

AutoCAD Architecture :: Mouse Scroll Wheel Zoom?

Jan 11, 2013

I have a CAD 2013 Arch user who is having a strange issue with zooming in or out using the mouse scroll wheel. It doesn't happen all the time which frustrates me because I never see it, but she does. Every now and then when she's working in a drawing she'll try to zoom out slightly, but the it zooms WAY out, so much that the drawing looks like a tiny speck. When she tries to correct it by zooming in, it zooms WAY in. Then for some reason, it starts working fine. This seems to happen to her multiple times a day and I'm sure what to or how to troubleshoot this. She's using a wireless mouse from Logistic and seems to have the current drivers installed.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Adjusting Mouse Scroll Wheel?

Apr 10, 2013

Is it possible to adjust the behavior of Corel Draw X5 in order to have the scroll wheel of the mouse behave like the scrolling action on a web browser.  I would like a vertical scroll to vertically scroll the design when I am zoomed in and some of the design continues beyond the current view. Also, I have a mouse that can scroll horizontally when the scroll wheel is nudged from side to side, so I would like to have a horizontal scroll as well, if possible.

Photoshop :: Liquify - Return Of Alt-Scroll Wheel For Zoom?

Jul 14, 2012

While I most definitely love the addition of "alt-right-click-drag" for resizing the brush in CS6 Liquify , I must say I greatly feel the loss "alt-mouse-wheel" for zooming in and out.

(Alt-mouse-wheel is much better than ctrl-left-click zooming because you didn't have to go down to the zoom pop-up or ctrl-right-click to bring up the zoom dialog to go back to 100% or fit image.)

If it was brought back, then brush resizing and zooming in and out is all under the Alt key -

Lightroom :: Scroll Wheel No Longer Works In Version 4.4 RC?

My scroll wheel no longer works after installing Lightroom 4.4. In all previous versions, I was able to use my Logitech scroll device to adjust the sliders in the development panel.  In the 4.4 version, the scroll wheel no longer works and instead of adjusting an individual slider, it scrolls the whole development panel up and down. I did uninstall the mouse driver and reinstalled but that did not work. The mouse works just fine in all other programs. I think it is a bug with the 4.4 version. I am operating in Windows 7.

Illustrator :: Mouse Scroll-wheel Panning Slows Down When Zooming In?

Aug 14, 2012

I've installed Illustrator CS6 recently and found the behavior of panning with the scroll wheel annoying. When I have low zoom values (e.g. 75%) the scroll wheel lets me pan U-D, L-R at normal speed, but if I zoom in (200% and up), the panning slows to a point where it is unusable at 600% and up. I use [Shift] to speed it up but at high zoom levels it's not enough. This wasn't the case for Illustrator CS5 or 5.5 where panning with the scroll wheel worked at the same speed at any zoom level.

AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Prevent DLL Addin From Reverse-engineering

Sep 24, 2012

We create a greate deal of DLL add ins for Inventor using Microsoft VB.NET.  The code security is very important to us. I hear certain program such " Lutz Roeder's Reflector " can reverse engineer the DLL assemblies and get the actual code from it. This would cause concern when we deploy the DLL to various users.

So, is it true that DLL from VB.NET (or C# and C++) is so vulnerable from reverse engineering? if yes, what is any practice to add security to it?

AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Create Feed Scroll

Dec 6, 2011

I would like to create a feed scroll.  I know this can be done in solidworks (see link). But can this be done in inventor.

The Solid in the image wascreated as a rectangular pattern (1200-off) of a cylinder along a helix path that is then cut from the work piece. In essence this is exactly what im after but as you can see there are far too many surfaces and the resultant cut is jagged especially when viewed with the shaded with edges style not to mention its size the file size 11+ Mb and hence i cant attach it to this post.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Create New Body With IFeature For Reverse Nesting

Dec 18, 2012

I am trying to create multiple bodies within a part file using multiple ifeatures. It seems that it is not possible to force the ifeature to create a new body when it is inserted. If it is inserted into a part that has multiple bodies present.

I call it "Reverse Nesting". We have a sheet of a certain size (18" x 32" in this case). I need to completely cover a much larger (and oddly shapped) panel with these sheets. I want to cnc cut these sheets into the correct shape and be able to assemble them together on the larger panel.

Create an ifeature that creates a sheet of the correct size. In a part file with a sketch (or surface) of the panel we need to cover, we can insert the ifeature and constrain its sketch to the original sketch. My hope was that I would be able to do this multiple times (each as its own body),orient them as req'd to cover the panel, and the use the original panel sketch to do an interference extrude through all the bodies. I could then use Make Componets to create an assembly of all of the parts, and generate flat profiles for each piece for CNC cutting. This doesn't work because I can't geerate multiple bodies with multiple iFeatures in the same file.Create a template part that is teh size of the sheet and constrain them together on the panel I want to cover. Use assembly features to cut way what I do not need. This does not work because there are performance and associativity issues with assembly features and no way to push the cuts back to the parts for CNC profiles.

Similar to #2 except derive the panel we need to cover into our part and use split to remove what we do not want from our sheet. This does not work because it is not easy to move a derive around within a part and link it to the other sheets that are adjacent to it.Create a template that contains parameters that contain the sizes of the sheet. Manually create sketchs and constrain them to each other on the derived (as a surface) panel, extrude each one as a separate body and then  run Make components. This will work, but it is very time consuming.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Applying Sliding Connection For Wheel On Rail

Jan 4, 2013

I'm trying to apply the right constraint in stress analysis environment.

How would I apply the right constraint? And to which face of the wheel or axle should I apply the constraint to get right results.

If I'm applying the sliding connection to the face of the wheel in z direction, the model will stop stress analysis with an error of "not enough constraints"

if I apply the sliding constraint to the inside of the wheel on the surface of the circle, I get the result as attached. I get 0 reaction in the Z direction which is wrong and should be zero reaction in x direction. How do I get it right?

The correct way to me would be a constraint that would only take forces in the -Y direction, same direction as gravity.

The wheel should not have any other reaction than in the Y direction. Hoe do I define that constraint? In my model the wheel are free to rotate on the axle.

I'm attaching both the general arrangement and the reaction report.
