Jul 23, 2012

Is there an easy way to get co-ordinates targeting the edge of road and daylight features along a corridor at 20m intervals without manually going through it or using createpointsfromcorridor?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Targeting A Corridor Surface

May 23, 2012

I created a surface corridor, called STAGE 1, that I would like to target with a second corridor, STAGE 2.  In a new file, I data referenced in STAGE 1 surface.  It is showing up as an option for me to use as a target in my STAGE 2 corridor properties. Once I look at my sections it shows there is nothing targeted on that side.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Targeting Offset Alignment Layout Profile With Corridor Lane Assembly

For some reason I cant seem to target an offset alignment layout profile with my corridor lane assembly.  I can target the existing the existing groundprofile with the same  offset alignment, but the layout profile when targetted does not change the lane in my cross sections.  I can do this with civil 3d 2010, but not 2012.  I have tried other lane sub-assemblies and it doesn't make a difference.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Export Coordinates From A Corridor

Here is the problem; corridor and its surface, etc are designed but there is no "obvious" way to get coordinates in order to layout the road in the field. There is the option to get COGO points from corridor via "create COGO POINTS" / "CREATE GROUND DATA" but this option refers only to points based on baseline in any station of the corridor and not in any station i would like to.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Corridor Frequency Lines

Apr 18, 2013

I created a simple corridor for a road widening. I want to plot some drawings but I do not want the frequency lines to plot. I have frozen the layers containing these lines. I have also set the layers to not plot in the layer properties manager. The frequency lines still plot. I've obviously missed something. What do I need to do to stop the frequency lines from plotting?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: 2013 - Corridor Feature Lines

Apr 17, 2012

I have a road corridor with feature lines connecting the road edges (cyan), ditchline (dark green), daylight_cut (yellow), daylight_fill (green) and daylight (white).  At certain random locations along this corridor I am getting feature lines which span from one station to another, ignoring all of the corridor sections in between.  The image below shows a daylight_fill line spanning over 60m, even though there is a daylight line through this region.

In this area a ditch line and a daylight_cut start at 4+110, skip over the next cut section at 4+120 and jump over a hundred meters to the next piece of ditch at 4+280..This corridor builds clean - no error messages reported.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Extract Feature Lines From Corridor One By One

Sep 10, 2012

Is this the only way to extract feature lines from a corridor i.e. selecting each one - it gets a bit tedious.

Is there any method to select a corridor and extract all the feature lines that are set to display?? I think third party software (Sincpac?) can do this but this is not an option for me and I am not well versed enough in .NET to write something to achieve this myself.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How To Change Color Of Corridor Frequency Lines

Oct 1, 2012

I am using the default styles that came with C3D 2011. How can I change the colors of the corridor "frequency" lines. The lines I am referring to are those that are from the last sub assembly to the daylight line. This is prior to making any section views or surfaces. The colors have to be determined somewhere within the corridor styles I think, but I can't find where.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Project Specific Feature Lines To X-sects

Mar 19, 2012

I'm using feature lines created from utilities line work to label utility locations on section views. To avoid selecting each individual section view, I'm using Profile & Section Views, Section views, Project Objects To Multiple Section Views. This works great. Labels are placed on the Sections Views all at once, just requiring a little clean up of label locations. However, there are feature lines for other purposes in the drawing, and these are all labeled at the same time. Any way to select which feature lines will be projected? I've been erasing the extra labels, which is still faster then placing one label at a time per section view.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Moving Node To Specific Coordinates?

Mar 20, 2013

I have been using Corel for over 20 years, and have never needed support.  I do most of my work editing nodes within a drawing for creating continuous line patterns that are repeatable.

For years I have simple "nudged" the first and last point of a complex curve to the appropriate position.  Now I want to simplify that by entering in the coordinates for the node.

I have tried Object Coordinates, but it appears to do nothing after I change the node location, or radically change my design.  There is no documentation for it. I have searched Customize for some sort of input field to add to the toolbar with no luck.

I always have to add the information on the coordinates of the selected note to the Status Bar, so I am surprised that I can't find an option for editing the position.
