I have been getting the "no canas exists: please select a new canvas" error message for a couple days now when trying to run my LISP code. The objective of this section of code is to place a new title block and border into a drawing.
I am not able to use the "group" command in AutoCAD LT 2013. Instead, I get the message "group with same objects already exists" when there is no existing group.
The following code adds three user parameters to an .ipt:
Public Sub AddUserParams() Dim oDoc As PartDocument Set oDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument
[Code].....
If I run this on a part that already contains any of these user parameter names I get an error. Is there a way to first check for each name and skip to the next if it already exists?
Also, how the heck do I set ExposedAsProperty for each of the parameters added?
I am simply trying to traverse an assembly, check each component for existance (or value of) an iProperty, and if so add that components name to a list. Here is what I have, but it doesnt work.
'Define the open document Dim oDoc As Document = ThisDoc.Document Dim oRefDoc As Document
i have a question does a full shadow can be activated when i set the view in conceptual or any other view or it only exist when i render the objects?...
no full shadows (but the full shadow is turn on)
but when i render the objects..full shadow now exist?..
I have an assembly with parameters named the same as LOD's.
The parameters are set to equal the mass of the corresponding LOD's using ilogic.
If the LOD does not exist, I want to set the mass of the corresponding parameter to a value of zero.
I don't know how to check for the existence of the LOD and I'm not sure I can have three commands in the ELSE section.
Below is an example of what I need using a Parameter and LOD called EXTERNALS as an example.
If EXTERNALS LOD does not exist THEN Parameter("EXTERNALS")=0 ELSE 'activate the EXTERNALS LOD ThisDoc.Document.ComponentDefinition.RepresentationsManager.LevelofDetailRepresentations("EXTERNALS").Activate
I have a iLogic question about finding out if a View exits..
Lets say I have a drawing that I want to read the scale of a view.. All the snippets I have found is pointing to the name of the view like "VIEW1". But if I have deleted the first view I created it will give me an error..
So, is there ant possibility to check if the "VIEW1" exits without getting an error?
I'm trying to copy sheets from one dwg file to another in Inventor 2010. I get the error: "Named segment already exists: cannot create or rename". The sheet name is not listed in the target file. Why this error is occurring and how to fix it?
I'm working on a flyer on a 8x11 canvas, but I want all of the elements I'm working to be transferred to a NTSC video film format. I understand how to a open a NTSC (Video Film Canvas), but I do not understand how to convert a canvas that I'm working to that.
I just got CS5.1 at my job. This must be a preference, but when I adjust the Canvas size, it will constrain the image, rather than cropping the canvas. The Anchor in the Canvas Size menu appears outlined (highlighted?) which indicates that this is something in preferences that I can adjust.
Is it possible to get the same cropping tool in ACR, which already exists in LR4 and PS CS6?
When Photoshop CS6 was released the crop tool within Photoshop itself was updated with a new interface, similar to that in Lightroom. Why did Adobe not also update the crop tool in ACR, Adobe Camera Raw? As it is an essential part of Photoshop CS6?
Basically, why does ACR 7 still have the old crop tool interface, while the Lightroom and Photoshop products both are having the new crop tool interface?
I'm using LR4 and trying to export a .mov file. I have 4 files all taken the same day and two of the files export correctly and two give me this pop-up in the title. I have successfully played these videos as a quicktime movie on Windows Media Player before and after I received this message. I am exporting using H.264 at max quality setting.
I shoot raw + JPG and wish that LR 5 had an option not to import JPG when there is a same-named raw file. Lacking that, are there suggestions perhaps for Windows utilities that would do the following (I am on Win7 64-bit with LR 5.2):
I delete all the JPG images before proceeding. That's easy enough; in Windows Explorer, one can sort by type, then delete all the JPGs, or one could open up a command prompt in the directory and "erase *.jpg". But there's a complication; in some modes of the camera, no raw file is generated. In those cases, I just have one .jpg that I want to keep. Here is an example:
I have tried so many times to remove Photoshop cs6 pre-release, but without any success.
I have downloaded Photoshop cs6 extended from this link:
[URL].........
I put it in the bin first and emptied the bin when actually I shouldn't have done so. So I tried the cleaner
[URL]........
I've put first to remove cs5 , cs5.5 and cs6. then I did it again with cs6 alone. I've restarted my computer. Still doesn't work, I always get the message:
"A conflicting or prerelease version of adobe Photoshop exists on this computer (...) "
I have searched previous similar topics about the same problem, no success.
Is it possible to change the settings of red files that exists in a sequence?
I've tried altering the red import settings of a sequence that contained the same clip cut up and a sequence that contained red files and non-red files, but the change seem to only work on the original clips.
I am trying to use the program, and the last time I used it, must have been on my old computer. It is telling me to deactivate the other copy but I no longer have the computer.
LR3.5, Windows 7 64bit, Outlook 2010. After selecting several photos in LR3 to be exported as JPEGs to Outlook, the latter shows but one photo as an attachment. Trying to export those same photos again, I'm greeted with the following error, "Problem Exporting Files". The error message further states that the files already exist. I've had to send each photo separately to get around this hurdle.
I have an existing title block a few text attributes, to which I wish to add a watermark. I have added it in the block editor as a normal attribute, with the same details as the other attributes that work, only a different tag name. It has a default value, "DRAFT" and is tagged "WMARK". It works fine in the Block Editor, and If I test the block I can edit it to display whatever I want, but if I save the block and open it from Autocad proper, the attribute is not in existence, either as a default value, or editable from block properties, attribute editor or title block editor, whereas all of the other attributes are there. I have used BattMan to verify the settings of the attribute, and the only difference is that the others all have "L" in the "Modes" column, but I think that means that their position is "locked" whereas my new attribute is justified "aligned" therefore cannot be "locked" (This is some assumption on my part, as the documentation on the "Modes" column is almost non-existent). I cannot afford to waste much more time on this issue, as the boss is breathing down my neck, but editing watermarks on every drawing after every revision is frustrating, when it could be an attribute that is editable from the title block editor.
I have moved a catalog of 150'000 pictures (with associated pictures) to from an iMac to a new Macbook Pro. I used (in Elements 11, same version on the old system) "reconnect missing files" to update the path to the new location. Most files did reconnect perfectly. However, some of them cannot be reconnected. The message I get is
"The files cannot be reconneceted because the file already exists".
The reality is that the same file does not exist. Only an identical named file in a completely separate directory path form another year is present (I use more than one camera and the filenames start all at DSCN001.jpg). How can I fix this, otherwise I cannot complete the transfer of the library.
When i try to use Photoshop filters: Adaptive Wide Angle, Shake Reduction and Liquify. An error pop up saying "Cannot create a file when that file already exists".Just one detail: The liquify filter doen't pop up the error right away, the error occurs just after i press the "ok" button to accept the changes.
I have already tryed to Reset the preferences, tryed to reinstall the PS, Update the PS, download (and install) the latests drivers to my pc.My Pc fit in all the requirements, have the openGL version: 3.0
I also have Photoshop CS5 installed, in which the liquify filter works perfectly.
The first image is just right before a click the "Adaptive Wide Angle".
Photoshop CS4 gives me a strange error. When trying to save a psd file as a jpg (using "save as"), it doesn't change the extension when selecting jpg from the format drop down menu. This results in a message, saying that the original file already exists, or when I save it to a different location, I get a psd file with jpg algoritm. Anyone any idea? I'm using XP SP3. Other programs do not have this issue. For instance, when working in Adobe Acrobat, and trying to save a pdf in the rtf format, it correctly changes the file extension, and saves the file as rtf.
It seems that after I start customizing by adding Trusted locations etc with add-on programs, my start up looks like this...

I have a question regarding sketches. When I open up a sketch on the xy plane, the sketch is created normally as I would expect, but when I open up a sketch on the xz or yz plane my canvas is rotated either 90(YZ plane) or 180(XZ plane) degrees. This seems strange to me as when I use dynamic input my Y ends up being my X input while on the YZ plane. Is there any way to change this so that my sketch planes enter me into my Y being up and my Z being across and not rotating my views at all? It is not the end of the world obviously, but when this happens while trying to teach high school kids about multi view drawings and using the program it gets many of them confused and is a pain.
