View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using autocad 2000, 2007 and 2013. Once i placed the arabic text with right alignment in my drawing and save and close the drawing. the same drawing if we open in another session/ system those arabic texts are moved towards left without any reason.
But if we double click on the arabic text, then it sit in correct place. What is the resolution for this issue?
I have attached 2 snapshots for ref. one is correct alignment and other is misplaced.
I got this weird issue when placing my custom made titleblocks in AutoCAD. All the attributes of the block jump to standard text style when placing it in my drawing. Allthough this ain't allways happening. It seems to me like there's a setting for this but i can't find out how.
It can happen suddenly too. Like when i open a new drawing and then add my titleblock, it's like it should be most of the times. Allthough when i start to edit the block (scale/move/copy,etc) it can change like you can see in the drawing below.
Offcourse, as a company, you do not want to deliver your drawings with a titleblock like this.
i am opening file in autocad 2013, my all dimension tags and text and point are merged with my other drawing objects how can i separate.

I am currently designing a logo for our company in AutoCAD. We use this logo for drawings, shirts, invoices, proposals,....etc. The logo we use was drawing by hand and is very choppy when blown up. This doesn't look good when we send the logo to make shirts and decals. I finished the logo in AutoCAD, which looks very smooth and perfect but when I try to export it in either PNG or JPEG format the logo looks choppy when zoomed in, unlike AutoCAD where it looks smooth no matter how much you zoom into it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 3D geometry that i wanted to export as a .STL file. But every time i selected the geometry to export, i keep getting the option "Select solids or watertight meshes: Specify opposite corner:." Although the command line does show that the objects have been selected. I've tried different ways of selecting the geometry but every time it shows the same thing.
P.S - i was able to export it in other (.IGES, .IGS formats) but it doesn't seem to be working the same way with .STL
I am trying to figure out how to get autocad2014 and our company's cnc machine to communicate.
The machine uses Solid Ultimate with Screen-to-machine software.
From what ive gathered, I can save my drawing as a R12, R13, R14 version dxf file, which is what is needed for the two programs to talk to each other. The problem is, when i save the dxf file, it saves paper space, not model space. Therefore, all that comes into the cnc program is a titleblock or whatever else I had on the page in paper space.
The cnc program doesnt pick up viewports either.
I need a way to save model space as dxf.
Recently upgraded to Civil 3D 2013 and drawings opened up fine. Now today any drawing that opens shows the plan view as last saved but then after loading takes the drawing and shifts it into a 3d view similar to a crossection. Is there a setting somewhere that has been changed? I noticed after a windows 7 update was preformed.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find a way to create an index drawing without having to input much information in.
I would like to export the attributes from each drawing file in my (project folder) from the title-blocks (drawing numbers and descriptions) into excel and then be able to just data link that into my Index table in AutoCAD. I know i could put the info in excel and import it into my table in CAD but i am looking for something more Automatic, so that every time i need to create an index it will automatically extract the info from the drawing files title-blocks.
When exporting from AutoCad to pdf, from paper space, my blocks come out looking strange. I was having the same problem with text but fixed that by converting to Arial. I am exporting to an Arch E size. I have found that when I am zoomed out to show my entire campus, this is when I my problem occurs. When I am zoomed in to show a specific area, export is fine.
Using AutoCad 2014. Files saved back to version 2010.
When you set the lineweight the result is only viewable when you print the drawing, however how is it possible to view the lineweights when I export the drawing to pdf as well.

I still can´t import inventor materials to MaxDesign 2013.
Using STEP or DWG files accomplishes this but due to the fact that i use multi body objects the imported geometry is grouped in an awkward manner (multiple occurences of an object are grouped and i can´t ungroup them).
How to export right?
The issue is quite pressing and my posts in the AREA have not been answered yet. Is it an Inventor or a Max issue?

I am trying to create a pdf file from a dwg file, using DWG True View 2013. I am NOT a CAD user, so all of the terms are new to me. I read that sometimes it's better to convert the DWG to DWF first and then convert it to PDF. So, I tried 'export' to DWF after trying 'export' to PDF. In both cases, after pressing SAVE, I tried to find the new file and couldn't. Basically, I am trying to print out a DWG file (that is in color), so when I print the DWG directly, you can't see the lines very well. That's why I'm trying to convert it to a pdf first.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?
I recently added 2 monitors to my set up to bring my total to 3. I am trying to figure out the best way to work on one drawing, with 2 differant veiws on each of the 2 main screens.
I would like my main screen to have the plan view and the second monitor to have an isometric veiw (or whatever I need at the time) of the same drawing. Is there a way to have the same drawing opened up in another window, in one session of Autocad 2013. One on the main screen and one on the secondary.
As many of us seam to do the option to save by default to an older version of AutoCAD or universal DXF format is selected, my problem is however when you save an existing drawing a prompt appears asking if 'Drawing*.dxf last saved in AutoCAD 2004 format. Save in AutoCAD 2013 Drawing format?' this has annoyed me for years!
I have set it as default DXF 2014 for a good reason I don’t want a prompt asking me if I want to then save it as 2013 or I would have set it like that on my default setting, gets on your nerves when you are doing 100's of files.

I am having trouble exporting to a PDF to use in an InDesign document. If exports fine, but it looks AWFUL and doesn't show my annotations or notes clearly at all. it's all blurred.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEssentially, I've got a bunch of extruded polylines - so, some 3-d shapes - that I'm viewing in a new layout/'viewport' (?), which is set to SW Isometric view in '2D wireframe' viewing style. I've got my lines in different colors, mapped to be all black but different line widths in a custom Plot Style .ctb file.
So, when I change the 'page setup' to "display plot style", everything seems fine. All the lines go black in the viewport, and it seems as though I've configured everything correctly. When I preview an export to .pdf, however - or actually export it - this is lost. The export comes out in color.
I've done exporting using both EXPORTPDF, and PLOT, in both cases making absolutely certain that the .ctb file is being linked correctly (with EXPORTPDF, I've done it both using the 'current' page settings, and also 'override'), and with the PLOT, using the DWG to PDF converter,
I've looked through EXPORTSETTINGS, EXPORT...
On the same computer, with another earlier, simpler file, I have no issues accomplishing what I want. For additional information/to make things more annoying for me, at this stage, the previous file which DID work seemed to conserve layer information, and allowed me to edit individual lines later, if necessary... This colored "I don't care about your plot styles I'm not going B/W" file seems to just be a flat image.
I've compared the two files in two tabs extensively, and can't seem to find ANY other difference, in any of the settings...
Additional info:

Tried both the DWG to PDF and Adobe PDF plugins to export to PDF...
I've searched this Discussion Groups area on the site and have found a couple solutions. I've tried them all but I can't seem to figure out how to get ALL of my labels to display when I plot or when I export to PDF. It seems that only the POLES layer labels are having trouble showing up...
I understand scaling and it doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried plotting under different scales, and I still get the same thing.I've attached an image showing the outcome.
On the left is the PRINT PREVIEW in AutoCAD.
On the right is the EXPORTED PDF.
I've checked in the administrator under POLE LABELS, and changed a couple things around but I can't seem to get the pole labels to show up.
