I need to color a polygon which is made with single line with different colors. Right now what i am doing is retracing the required part for particular color and then coloring it, but this is very time consuming. So is there a simpler way?
For example in the attached file consider that in yellow box i need to fill red above and green in lower portion. How to do that?
I'm familiar with different techniques on how to turn a color picture to black and white, but I was curious as to whether or not there were ways to turn color pictures black and white, while certain parts remained in color (like Sin City).
i did the test with a qleader and everything seem to be functional but mealder have an issue where autodesk have to check this
example: i have a layer called test1 with color green i have a meleader with a Dot as an arrowhead when i go to the viewport and change the vport color to red
well everything changes expt the arrowhead which will take the layer color (green) but if i go to properties and i change the arrow head to closedfilled then it will take the vport color (wierd) i did the test with autocad 2008 to 2012 all the same problem
I have a set of part descriptions that need to be changed. Each part description corresponds to a part number. See the example below of what it would look like in AutoCAD.
123 screw 265 bolt 847 washer
But this list can get really long. Each part number and each description is a seperate text string or mtext string. I plan on having an excel spreadsheet that has a list of all part numbers that my company uses with their corresponding descriptions.
I would like to use the part number to find the appropriate description and then change the description. Hopefully this can be done automatically for a list of part numbers and their descriptions.
How can I get to the option of checking or unchecking the "use colors from source component" in a derived part? I have been looking through the API at the DerivePartComponentObject and see all the other options but the one I am looking for, where to start looking for this?
My part color is yellow. In the assembly It shows as gray.
I cant seem to get it to change to match the part color. I used to know why this happens and knew how to fix it but seem to have forgot. How do you get this to work?
I also recently loaded 2014, but had the same problem with 2013, so its not a release issue.
The new release has me baffled. Some of the b16.9 fittings are the wrong color. Is there a way to change them back to the old color?
The reducer and straight tee are oddly still the correct color, but the others are a lighter shade of gray.
When I click on a light gray fitting, the material and appearance say "Steel, Wrought; Steel". When I select the old darker color, it says "Wrought Steel; Metal-Steel."
I'd like to change this at the CC level instead of manually changing them in every assembly and design representation.
Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2014 Inventor Pro 2014 - SP1 Win7 Pro x64 Dell T5500; Xeon E5520 2.27GHz; 15 GB ECC RAM; Quaddro FX4800; SSD
Is there a way to have inventor make each part in an assembly have a different color? I like to work in assemblies like this because it is easier to tell the parts from each other. It's just time-consuming to go through and change everything if the assembly was designed with realistic colors. I am thinking there might be a macro for this, but I don't have much experience with macros so idk.
(extra brownie points if the method has the capability of reverting back to realistic colors) Inventor 2014 HP Pavilion dv6t-6b00 Intel Core i7 2670QM AMD Radeon HD 6490M 8gb RAM Windows 7 64 bit 3Dconnexion SpaceExplorer
I try to copy a color with a custom texture to a part. In my data source I use a scale for the image between 0,1 and 1. (10-100%). On my form I have a slider to change the scale between this range.
But in the styles editor it is possible to go to 1000%. Is that also possible in the API?
I need to show a particular part in a drawing view so that it's clearly visible. I mean, I can see it fine, but I would like it to pop out a bit more than it does and not blend in with other lines around it. Is there anyway to do this? I know you can make an entire view colored, but I just want one part colored within that view.
If not, then how do I remove the lighting from a particular view so that the parts will show as solid colors in a drawing view? They currently show with like a white reflection or sheen and a sort of gradient coloring to them.

I have a model part with colors assigned to different features but they do not carry over to the assembly model. The assembly first came up as all grey when our computers were upgraded to Windows 7, I have been playing with it and got some of the color back. I am new to Inventor and not familiar with how the colors work.
I'm running an iLogic based model where I have a technical housing with 2 cover parts on top.
The first cover part is the basic part.
I use iLogic to assign a RAL-color to several parts in the assembly, also to that cover. The color is assigned to several features of the cover part.
The second cover part is almost identical to the first one.
So my first feature in the second cover part is a derived part of the 1st cover. I derived all the bodies.
When I'm in my assembly and I pick a RAL-color in my created customization form, the RAL-color only changes in the 1st cover part (the original), but it doesn't change in the second cover part, the derived body.
But....
when I manually open the 2nd cover part, and I right click on the derived feature and click on 'Edit Derived Part' ; the new color shows up immediately!
So, my question is if there is a rule for iLogic to update the color automatically?
I quite often import hardware models downloaded form various mfg or supplier websites. McMaster Carr for example provides a great deal of hardware models. While they offer native formats for SW they do not do this for IV (not many places do)
Since the [imported] models often open up with default properties, I change the material to something that closely represents the actual hardware or item. In some cases, there are certain portions of the item that are in reality colored or textured differently and I sometimes want to duplicate that for aesthetics and a more accurate view for people that use my assembly files.
In SW, it was always real easy to select just a face (regardless of whether the surface was part of an entire part, a feature, an imported solid body, etc. I could always change the properties of just a face or slection of faces. Since it was a standard pc of hardware, I had no concern about updates.
I have a part file that contains two imported solid bodies. If I select just a single face and try to change the color of it, it changes the entire part. Not what I want.
I have a block that I would like make dynamic. It is a fishhook arrow for a roundabout traffic sign. I would like to rotate the head to various angles, and have the body of the arrow adjust. I already have the ability to stretch the two end points in their direction, and rotate the head, but the curved part of the arrow body needs to adjust for the new head location. I tried dynamic stretch, but it would not attach to the rotate dimension. How do I get these arcs to stretch along their radii and associate the end arc points to the near end of arrow head?
I had one thought of using multipe arcs so that they would overlap more or less as rotated, but this is a pretty crude workaround.
I have a greyscale image that i would like to make different version of and i need to know how to set Colorize to have a certain part end up a given color.
as an example i have a spot that is HSV 0 0 51 and i would like it to land up as 24 60 82 (with the other colors in the image moving in similar fashion) what do i set the Colorize dialog at to do this??
part of my problem is the values in the dialog do not match hsv values (V runs from -50? to +50 i think)
I want to copy color from one part of photo to another. This means filling a pallette with the color in the first part, then painting to the second. How do I do this?
I really looking for a solution how can I change the color of a part of a picture. In my case it's a pharmacy sign (see attachment). I want to change the color of the white Part (snake&scale) into a sort of brown (#bcb29d).The green cross I want to change into red.
I only managed (not even that perfectly) with hue. But I cannot choose exactly the colors I want. I manage with the color/select tool to select the region I want to change but then.I don't know how to move on.
I have LR4.3 for at least one year. He has worked correctly until 2 weeks ago. But now it is impossible to have correct color in the "development " part.
When i choose the pictures in the computer to load them, their colors are "normal" but after to have loaded them, The pictures are red, blue, green, yellowl etc without gradient (like solarization) Even if the picture loaded is in B&W.
And the "histogram" has the same colors.
When i decide to send these pictures to the computer, their colors are again "normal" (with the changes I have done) but without be able to control them during their passage in LR4.3.
Our products all have a common element that consists of a backlit blue area with black text. In all of our product photography, the blues look different (when looking at the actual products, the blues do match).
I want to go through the library and color match the blues the best I can (to Pantone 306 U). What is the best way to do this?
I'm new to photoshop cs2 but i have played with alot of video editor programs so i can catch on quick.
anyway im really into photgraphing cars. i just started photoshop and i found i can really do alot to the cars with this program.
my question is i have a car that is in the sun at an angle and the windows are tinted but the angle you can see in a little.. how can i outline the window and darken it so it looks more tinted?
I am trying to color a part of an object in specific form. (see the picture below) So, I have a restangular and a circle in different color. What I am trying to achieve is only the part of the circle that is over the restangular to be visible (example with photoshop- restangular on layer 1, circle on another layer above it, alt+click to create a clipping mask and it will produce the effect im looking for). However, when creating clipping mask here (from object-clipping mask-make) it seems that either the circle or the restangular will disappear. Are there other ways to achieve this, or I'm looking into the wrong one?
Is there any way to screen parts of a drawing other than using colors? For instance Microstation can screen using fences.
Basically I have one file of line work I am referencing into my sheet file. This line work consists of around 40 streets for a construction project. I need to be able to show where each street is according to surrounding city blocks. The idea is to have the street being worked on as being bold and surrounding streets screened out. Is there any way to do this aside from making each street its own file?
I'm new to 3d.....How to render a drawing like the image attached. I know how to attach materials, but the powers that be want it to look like the image. Also can one solid have different colors assigned to it? The drawing attached should hopefully explain what I mean.
