I am using the 3ds Max Design 2014 tutorials. I am working in the Civil View section of the tutorials. My problem is that in the SOS dialog, when I insert the measurements in the tutorial, I believe they are supposed to be in meters. Such as the measurements I am instructed to enter are like 2.0, 0.45 and so on. But when I enter the numbers, they display in foot and inches. I went to CIVIL VIEW "PREFERENCES", but here is no way to change the settings.
The properties unit of all my Revit's door, wall, windows..etc is millimeter. How do I change it back to inch and feet?It was also strange that when I opened some files, the unit became inch and feet. The units of doors, windows, etc became inch and feet.
However, when I create a new project, the unit becomes millimeter again.
I purchased Xara 8 in June but now have a new computer. I downloaded the program to my new computer and all seemed to be okay with the install, but I can't change the unit default from millimeters to inches. In fact I can't change the units to anything; it keeps reverting back to millimeters. Then I tried changing the font default and it changed it to millimeters no matter which unit I chose. I don't know if any of the other options can be changed. I generally change them as I need them. Should I uninstall it and try again? I lost my CD copy to theft and have to use the online download.
I can not get the ruler to display - and yes I know how to turn it on and to change the unit of measurement. Also the options for setting the diameter of the clone stamp is no where to be found. BTW, I'm using the expert mode and even tried the other modes, still no dice. There does seem to be some change in the margin border when I attempt to display the ruler (just gets slightly wider, but no ruler). Perhaps there is a a button some where to make all the adjustments visible like I am used to seeing in previous versions.
I created a couple of Unistrut structural member and published them to the CC.
Once they were in the CC I setup the proper code allowing these members when placed in an assembly to show up as shown in the parts list.
Now sometimes when the member is an odd length it will show up with the decimal places in the part number (i.e. P1001--46.621) This is fine when it comes to the part number showing up as a decimal. In the description we are now wanting to show this in fractional form such that 46.621 in the part number shows up as 46-5/8 in the description.
When I edit the family table for these members, specifically the columns that house this coding, I am not seeing anywhere on how to change this. Does this can be done and if so what the coding is to accomplish this? Without changing the global units of the drawing?
I am working on creating various standard sized window elevations using dynamic blocks. Each window elevation needs to have text underneath it that tells you the unit size of the window. While I have successfully created all the various elevations using dynamic blocks I can't figure out how to make the text appear to change with the various window unit sizes. for instance I have a small window that has text underneath showing 1818 (18"wide x 18"high). I need text to change to say 1820, 1824, 1830, etc. I can get the 1818 text to stay centered under the elevation as the window gets wider/higher but that is it.
I’m a long time Photoshop user but recently picked up LR4 to try to fine tune my workflow. I’ve noticed that after importing new files (RAW, I haven’t tried with jpg) into my library as I scroll through them (1-up, not in grid) the preview comes up and then after a second or so the WB changes to a much colder image.
Does LR4 initially preview at specific settings and then change to the individual image settings? Even if so, the final images seem very cool and I feel like I have to up the temp more than I should have to. My previous workflow was to sort in Bridge and then use ACR to import to Photoshop. I feel like I did much less tweaking of my WB this way. I feel like I’m starting from square one with LR4.
I didn't notice when and why it happened, but now when i draw white line, it appears brown. I didnt change any settings, just did my usual work, when it appears. Other colors are normal. What could it be?
I'm having some problems with drawing paths in Illustrator. Everytime I draw a new path, this new path shows up in the standard settings. The 'brush defenition' turns back to 'basic' and the 'variable width profile' back to 'uniform'. It would save me a lot of time if I could change those standard settings into what I prefer.
I saved my work and shut my computer down.. Now this morning i come to do my work and i get the "A software problem has caused 3DS Max to close unexpectedly"..Before such time it was working for weeks and now all of a sudden i get this message and i've done nothing to provoke it into such a situation at all.
I've tried looking on Google but they all just say change the graphics settings which i've done 4 times now and un-installed re-installed twice.
I'm not sure if there's a way that i can find out exactly what is causing it, Max SP2 was installed upon installation of Max 2012 so that's not the issue. I've done on this version that can't be opened in previous versions..
Our users do have shared profiles which are limited to a certain size, there are a few of them having trouble with their profile running out of boundaries. This causes for example the problem that the user can not log off.
Since Adobe Photoshop (as well as other Adobe products) is writing settings to the Folder "C:Documents and Settings[USERNAME]Application DataAdobe[PRODUCT][VERSION]", this is filling up the profile quite a bit.
Is there any possibility to change the Path of this, so the applications are using another savepath for the settings?
Recently i purchased the CS3 Premium design creative suite - the MiddelEast version. I opened the software and i cant understand anything because im used to the english version.
Is there any way I can change the language settings in this version? with a plug-in or anything else?
I was wondering how can we change the default setting of PS.
If you go to "Blending Options" in PS and click on "Outer Glow/Inner Glow/Drop Shadow/....etc" You will see that these options have already some colors as default, means Drop shadow has black color as default and inner glow and outer glow has yellow as default.
I wanted to change these default colors to something else. Like I want to change the YELLOW color of outer and inner glow to WHITE color. Is it possible?
I'm working with CS5 now and I mentioned the following terrible fact: When I open a vector EPS in CS5 raster settings are always CMYK and 72dpi. I know very well that CS2 remembers my first type in of settings (e.g. grayscale and 300dpi) and use it also for upcoming EPS files during a session. CS5 settings are CMYK and 72dpi always... each EPS.
When I view a file in CS5, the colors are vastly different than when I view the same file from any other program on my computer. I calibrate regularly and want to be viewing as per the calibration on CS5- are there setting I need to change in CS5 or are those accurate and I need to change the settings in my control panel?
I like to use .001 for nudge and 20 for super nudge, so every time I open a new file I need to change it from the default settings of .1 and 2. I've always wondered if I could set my own defaults and it occurred to me to ask on the forum. I can't find it anywhere on the options menu..
1. I created a schema in SQLite witth AutoCAD Map 3D 2012.
2. I set a constraint to one field: a list with 3 entries valid for the property. For example: Test 1 Test 2 Test 3
3. I draw some lines
In the schema editor I want to change the constraint:
- But I am not able to add a new entry “Test 4” to the list from step 2
- I am also not able to change an existing entries (“test 1” to “test 1 new”)
Is it possible to change the settings of a constraint?
The help [URL] says: “You cannot edit a schema to convert an existing field to use a different constraint type if the table already contains data. The table must be empty.” But I do not want to change the “constraint type”. I want to change the entries of the list.
I am scanning my photos using photoshop's import command in the file menu. While scanning there exists some settings for correction in the scanner software. Now I would like to know which settings (either settings in the scanner software or the settings in the photoshop) should i use for a scanned photo. Should I first scan without changing any settings in the scanner software and change the settings in the photoshop or to change settings in the scanner software?
I have been editing photos in Lightroom. I occasionally take a photo into Photoshop for more editing and when I do this, if I make any change to the program window side, the color changes to a darker, more muted looking photo. If I minimize the program, nothing changes. If I either change the window size to a smaller, non-maximized window or drag it to my secondary display, the color changes to what I am guessing is a different color space. The only way to fix this is to shut down Photoshop and restart it. I am sure this is some setting in Photoshop color settings, but not sure. Should I have my color settings set to my monitor calibration file or should it be Adobe RGB? Not sure what Lightroom edits in. I do have it set up to send the file to Photoshop in Adobe RGB.
I can't seem where or how to fix this. I'm on the latest verion of Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 7, and for some reason, when I go to create a shape, everything is in inches instead of pixels. It won't let me just type in pixels, it just reverts back to inches and won't change the shape. I am pulling my hair out trying to find the setting or preference. where I can change the settings so that things are always in pixels and not inches?
I do 2D drafting and have noticed that AutoCAD 2012 hesitate and can be slow when working on 2D drawings. The drawings are small around 250KB. What settings can I change to speed up AutoCAD? The properties palette seems to slow things way down.
My computer is an HP Z200 with plenty of Ram (6 GB). I know it can't be my computer because this is the "recommended" computer by Autodesk for AutoCAD.
I cant change the settings of any drawing tool, it just says you can drop dockable dialogs here.Attached File(s) Capture.PNG (195.6K) Number of downloads: 4
