I'd like to export AutoCAD file from a model built in 3Ds Max to get some engimeering drawings(as below) But the dwg file export from 3Ds Max is always with the wireframe(as the last one) How could I solve this problem?
I am trying to export each sheet in an Excel file to an separateTXT files.
I currently have code to read each cell in a sheet, but unfortunately some of the Excel sheets have in excess of 5000 cells and it is taking too long to read. So I am switching to another method.
The program will check dates of TXT files and XLS file to make sure TXT files are current (if not, open and recreate TXT files). Then read the TXT files (much faster).
Where I am getting stuck is 2 places -
Get the names of each sheet in the excel file (not always a known name)
Save each sheet as separate TXT file.
Here is condensed code so far without error checking, etc -
i have any problem about export point from dwg to *.txt file.i have point file *.dwg from my friend,,but i confused why that point can't export, show warning "No point were transferred from the source" point is in layer 0...I attach the dwg file.
How can to export my SDF file to ESRI Shape file? In AutoCAD Map menu have a commands, but those works only for drawing objects. Have any way to export SDF to Shape?
I see that keyboard shortcuts in revit 2013 can be eported as xml and imported back from an xml? Is it possible to export the shorcut list as a simple txt file or excel file, for printing purpose. Some of the bim modellers in my office would like to print the shorcut and stick it on their desk.
I create short videos using the PS frame animation panel. I used to be able to FILE-export-render video- and choose MPEG-4 Video in the settings panel which would render my file into a small .mov file. Now in CS6 the new render video panel does not have that option. I tried the QT options in the export window and my file is hugh! The H.264 option gives me an .mp4. I put the .mp4 into my web page via Dreamweaver and my video does not play when uploaded into the sever. The video plays fine in Dreamweaver before I upload to the server. After I upload to the server I just get a Q and no video on my web page. If I render the same file in CS5 I am able to view it in my web page. ADOBE WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUR EXPORT VIDEO RENDERING OPTIONS in CS6?
After finally getting X6 to be stable and usable I have two things I'd like to mention..
First, I've been using a 3rd party file manager called Ztree for years and one of its most wonderful capabilities is to copy paths to the clipboard which alleviates opening/saving frustrations with the typical Windoze Explorer dialogs. Anyway, one of the first problems I noticed with X6 is that Paste no longer works in the Open Drawing dialog, while it worked just fine in X5 and as far as I can remember, all previous versions. I sure would like to get that back.
My second complaint is the File/Export routine and specifically the presets. I do a lot of exporting to PNG and JPG and use multiple presets for fixed size/print resolution image output in both file formats. During the typical export session, I essentially export multiple different drawings all of which are exactly the same size/resolution in CD and in the past (X4 and prior as I recall,) was able to just hit <Enter> when the Export dialog appeared once the preset was set to the one I needed for that session.
In X6 though (and to some degree in X5,) even though the correct preset is listed, CD doesn't appear to recognize it, i.e., the math for the size/dpi conversion doesn't take place which forces me to waste time selecting "Original" or some other preset first, waiting for CD to render the new version, and THEN selecting the conversion preset that was pre-selected when I first opened the export dialog.
I am wondering if there is a way to put the old save method back into the new gimp 2.7.3. I would like to be able to export to a new file format and automatically be using that file instead of the original file that I have just opened. If there is a plugin like this that would be great.
I have edited my video using after effects. I have been unable to export my file to youtube using a valid file name. All of the results have issues with sound and quality.
I'm working for to supply the work I've done as a PNG file that can be edited. I was told that a layered PSD file can be converted to a layered fireworks PNG file. I've tried all sorts of things but either ended up with a flattened image or each layer as a seperate file.
I have a frame that we have designed and detailed using Inventor and Frame Generator. The steel fabricator is asking for a CIS/2 model file to use with their Fabrication/Management software. I have done a search of this forum and found two posts asking about this format (from 2004 & 2009) but neither have any responses.
It does not appear that IV will export this information natively so I am looking for some kind of work-flow to get them this information using AD products. Any resellers out there familiar with a product/translator?
Inventor Professional 2013 (SP-2.3), Product Design Suite Ultimate Desktop: Intel Core i7 3.4GHz, 16.0 GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate SP-1, 64-bit OS, (2) GeForce GTX 580 (331.81), Space Pilot Pro (3.16.1) Laptop: Intel Core i7 3.9GHz, 16.0 GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro SP-1, 64-bit OS, GeForce GTX 780 (331.81), SpaceNavigator (3.17.7)
I have just updated to Map3D 2014 and work in 2D Drafting Workspace. In 2013, the export button was located in the Map Drafting tab, Map Output panel. In earlier versions it was under output tab as map 3d export. However, its position in 2014 from 2013 has been replace by a "To FDO Connection". it directs me to the older location of under the output tab - map data transfer - map 3d output, however this does not seem to exist. The only panels I have there are Plot and Export to DWF/PDF, no map data transfer. I can find it if I switch to Map Drafting Workspace in the Map Drafting pulldown - inport/export - export, or if I use the command "mapexport", but from both it only asks where and what to name the file and what type (shp, tab, etc), and then the routine stops and goes back to the drawing instead of opening the dialog to select objects, etc. Some of my clients insist on shp files.
If its possible to export linetype definitions from a drawing into an AutoCAD *.LIN (eg MyLines.LIN) file.
There is a DWG that we need to work on for a client and we will later need to create some new drawings but using the client's linetypes and it would work if we had a *.LIN file.
I could make a copy of the drawing that already has the linetypes in it, delete everything, purge everything except the linetypes and save it and insert the "empty" block/drawing into a new drawing. It works .
I've got a problem with the export to MapInfo .tab file. I export a dwg file with a georectified raster (but I export only the vectors) and when I open the file .tab MapInfo table shows the records, but the map is blank. I've tried to export a file without the use of the raster and it works, this is too strange for me. So, I think that the problem is the use of the georectified raster (remember, I don't export the image, only the vectors). I've also used MapInfo Universal Translator, but it didn't work.
I am trying to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file when I close the program, I have searched the discussion boards and have not been able to find any post about automatic export in Inventor or Revit.
Goal:
My goal is to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file in order to have those who are using Revit MEP to always have a updated version of the Inventor Model in their model drawing and vise versa.. This I think would take the human factor out of the equation, WHY?.. well we humans tend to forget about those working around us and are not that good in exporting a updated file every day!
I want to automate the process of creating Revit family files (.rfa) by exporting a .adsk file from Inventor and importing it into Revit and saving it as a .rfa file.I can't find any documentation on how to do this.
I am currently using AutoCad Map3d 2013. I am trying to export some features to esri shape file. When I use the export command it does not export all the features, only a few of them. I tried each different way point, line, polygon (treat closed polylines as polygons). I just did this the other day and worked out fine.
I'm trying to make an application that would take a drawing(dwg) and convert it to pdf. Since I can do it directly in autocad 2013, i presume that there should be a function in the API, that i could use to do the same. So far, i tried with AcadDocument.export(filename, FileExtension, AcadSelectionSet) with no luck. I cannot put PDF as a valid file extension.
Here's my code
Public sub SaveToPDF(ByVal psfilename As String)
Dim oAutocad As AutoCAD.AcadApplication = New AutoCAD.AcadApplication()
Dim oAcadDoc As AutoCAD.AcadDocument = oAutocad.Documents.Open(psfilename, True)
Dim sFolder As String = psfilename.Substring(0, psfilename.LastIndexOf("") + 1)
I would like to know if it is possible to export or save as an ASPAN extension or file. How I might be able to do that rather than open Autocad file in ASPAN.?
I cannot find a function in 2011 Civil 3d to export an alignment as an. RXL file onto the computer. I know that I can export an RXL directly into a Survey Controller via Trimble Link.
I am able to export to SDF but I get nothing when trying to go the two shp formats available. was a "parcel", but i exploded to polyline.
Do i need a patch to make this work? I am a C3D newbie and am struggling wit h user interface, but know that map export command line looks like it is supposed to work.
