I done some illustration jobs lately and sometimes have to insoert some logos as bitmaps. when i export to ai everything gets there fine but the bitmap parts are very low res. can i set the bitmap handling somwhere in xara? pdf exports better but layers are lost and everything is grouped and clipped in a very complex way.
I need the logos on this poster to be distributed in alpha order in a grid pattern. Is there an easier way to do this than manually setting them in place? Like a script or something?
I have this image that was built in pieces and i need to get each of those pieces and use each one as a link in Expression Blend. The thing is everytime I try to use the pieces they have a white background. I cant Use GIF's and bitmaps aren't doing the trick I just need to know if it would be easier to just redraw them in Expression or if I should try to use the existing images.
I'm working on a print document and do not understand the behavior of Designer Pro X9 concerning image optimizing. When I drag an image from explorer onto my document, I'm being prompted (as expected) to decide, whether I want to import the original size image or a resized version. Choosing the high resolution version gives me the full size bitmap to work with on my page.
But as soon as I drag the same image from the bitmap gallery onto my page, I get a downsized version of 1920 x 1280 pixels, which also immediately appears as a copy in the bitmap gallery. Why this happens and if and where I can prevent X9 from doing this?
Currently running designer Pro X, I am finally getting around to trying to build or add additional bitmaps to my gallery so that I can customize my graphics. I cannot find, the bitmaps Gallery on my original install disk. Where can I find quality bitmaps to add to my gallery? Once I locate either a complete file and/or a single image how do I permanently added to my gallery file so that when I launch Xara the bitmaps will be available any time I want to use them as a fill from the paint menu?
I am creating a text document with Xara Xtreme Pro 9, and I noticed that I can insert groups into floating text. Great, I can use this for inserting Xara graphics, for example a chart!
However, editing a chart is a pain. When I double click on the group, then the surrounding text disappears, i.e. everything outside of the group. However, that is not sufficient. For example, I would like to be able to define horizontal guides that don't move (relative to the chart) when the chart's position changes relative to the page. Is that somehow possible?
As a workaround, I guess I could put the chart on a separate page at the end of the document, and then insert a live copy into the text.
I am familiar with the "Cutout" filter in photoshop to create the desired effect but The lines are as smooth or simplistic... I have illustrator but I was wondering if there was a tutorial or a certain method or steps to acheive this look.
I write a program, this program needs to insert some standard illustrations. I made these standard illustrations into different blocks. And I store these blocks in a dwg file. Everytime I need to insert some illustrations, I just click the mouse on the current drawing, I want the illustration inserted. These means the following points:
(1) Import the blocks to the current drawing, if the blocks have already been imported, then do nothing.
(2) Specify the insert point by clicking the mouse, and I want the block's insert point to coincide with the mouse clicking point.
I have some coloured logos on white backgrounds How do I have the logos as white on a coloured background. I want them to look a little like this bar I found.
i am wanting to create a logo for a future website but i have no knowledge of creating vector graphics and that sort. i know how i want the image to look but i wouldn't know where to begin in PS.
i want the letters DG to intertwine some how and placed in an oval or circle. i would even gladly offer to pay a small amount of money to whoever can present a good logo.
I'm new to the design game and am receiving logos from clients with the white box around them. Besides using the magic wand or pen tool, (which makes the type/logo pixelated), are there any other ways to fix this problem?
Whenever I open a bitmap in Photoshop, the visual quality of the image is not as good is it is in ImageReady. The bitmap looks exactly right in everything but photoshop. Even ms-paint! The problem doesn't happen to Jpegs though. The effect is something like a stepping-down effect between shades(or colors?) and it ruins the entire image. (eg. a bitmap image of an apple looks like it has obvious lines of shading)
I am struggling with placing different bitmaps on a chamferbox. I can place a bitmap on the top and bottom face, no problem here , the bitmap is displayed, after converting the chamferbox to editable poly. The problem is that when selecting the front poly only (so i select only 1 poly) and when i put a bitmap on it, only a part of the bitmap is displayed. It seems the picture stretches out over front, left ,bottom and right poly. But i want not the streched part of the bitmap , but the whole bitmap to be displayed on the front, and also the same for other bitmaps on left, right and back. What is the trick, that the bitmap is not stretched out over mutiple poly's ?
So the office server where all the maps were stored has been replaced with a new setup, and different file path..
Now I know how to re-link bitmaps within a max file using the superb 'relink bitmaps' script.. But what about relinking the maps within the material library?
I am trying to insert OS Tiles into a drawing using the insert x-ref command. I have managed to insert 192 tiles but still need to add 29 more tiles to complete. When I try to insert another x reference AutoCAD just goes into a continual loop. Have to force AutoCAD to crash after ten minutes.
I am using AutoCAD 2014 MAP and have just had a new system built (i5 processor, 8GB RAM).
I have a video, recorded from a TV broadcast, that has a station logo on the screen. I understand EditStudio Plus has a way of "removing" this. Does Video Studio have a similar function (other than just super-imposing a black box over the logo)?
I looked around on the internet for professionally printed shirts(those are the same as iron on right?) and noticed that all the colors they used, it tends to be a little powdery looking, so I was guessing maybe that kind of colors look better in contrast with the shirts.
What I'm thinking of doing is just make the design's lineart on paper, scan, and color with photoshop. then preview and print on the transfer paper.
I used to use Image composer to do logos and other photo editing. Well I must say after installing I am over wellmed. The IC was easy! Wich of the programs is best to ues for editng and disigning logos? I am trying to replace small logos on a logo of several. In IC I could just cut and paste.
i just started doing stuff on my laptop.. and i was wondering if anyone could help me with a question... here goes... i need to be able to add a logo to the background picture on my desktop. i want it to look like i just put a static sticker or a puffy sticker on it. is there any software out there i can use to do this?
I'm trying to create the attached two logos I drew. The top is a stand alone "A" logo with a space background inside the star and a metalic A and loop.
The second also is metalic lettering except for the s which I would like to be bright yellow at the start and fade down the underline.
