I've several hundred video clips from my Samsung R10 HD camcorder ( H264 - 1080 25 fps) that I wish to link into one continuous file. I'm not bothered about transisitons or any other editing.
Ideally, I would prefer it to be lossless, but when the clips are placed into X3, it appears they have to be rendered. However, if I'm forced to re render, I cant find a 1080 H264 setting in MP4 format with 25 fps?
i want to know if their is a solution for files MOV H264 60 fps, because when i previsualize clib : no probleme, and in project windows the sound is correct but video completly slow. I have the same probleme on vs x3 and vs x5 ultimate... in the publicity of vs x5 ultimate it is write that input video h264, quicktime, but i think it is ONLY in 30 fps ! but not in 50/60 fps ! i wait answer from corel.. because the technical support said this input isn't supported in vs x5 !

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a long time user of Videostudio Pro all the way back to Media Studio Pro 6. I recently purchased VideoStudio Pro X3. I am working with HD video from a Samsung HMX-H200. The MP4 files were moved to my computer directly from the SDHC card. The format of the files is 1080i. I believe the camera records at 60 fps, but in VSP it is reported as 29.97.
The problem is as follows... I can load a clip on the timeline and play it in project mode, but if I try to play it in clip mode, the preview window goes black and stays this way until I press the stop button. Even stranger is I can scrub through the clip just fine in clip mode.
I have tried both SP2 patches. I have applied the latest Direct X updates. I have re-installed VSP. I tried this with Smart Proxy on and off. I've tried several other system wide optimizations like like cleaning the registry. No luck.
is there a way to share "create final video" in 1024x768 mp4 h264?
because my source video is in 1024x768. i can create final video in 640x480 but quality is lower. and when i create final video in 1280x720 or in 1920 x 1080.(presets of MPEG-4 in videostudio x4), i always get black borders on sides and ALSO under and above.
Picture this:
I have a project: project.vsp
I have a file: d:file.avi
I click on "project.vsp" the program starts and i should just be able to render it.
However
The file ("d:file.avi") is frequently rerendered. It has the same resolution, and duration, but the content is new.
Every time i click on "project.vsp" I am told that d:file.avi is missing (even though it isn't) and I have to relink it or skip.
Isn't there some way to just get the program to load the file without bugging me?
It seems if i go to preferences and uncheck the relink setting, the program will instead just skip the file and not load it - which is not desirable..
I prefer using the proxy workflow for fullhd editing because it allows fast timeline scrolling. My video rushes are all on external disks. Creating a project and proxies is no problem (takes some time). The problem however is, when I re-open VS with a project for which I created the proxies before, while the related external disk is not active (removed), I still get the tumbnails in the VS library, but I lose the proxies even after the external disk is being restarted. The strange thing is that the proxies (.upx files) are still in my proxy folder (local disk) when opened in Windows, but the VS proxy file manager doesn't see them anymore. Is this normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my Videostudio X4 will not play any clip for longer then a second or two. When you play a clip or the project it plays for 1 or 2 seconds and stops just like you hit the stop or pause button. Click play again and it does the same thing. Makes it really impossible to edit. It had been working great up until last week. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still have the same problem. I have excluded my anti virus from scanning the Corel folder.

It would seem that all you would need to do it right click and mute while they are still all selected from the import but the mute setting isn't active. meaning I have to mute each clip separately. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have ONE large 1hr AVI file captured from a DV camcorder. I have used Corel Videostudio to "split by scene", and that works fine, all clips are cpatured. BUT the shooting date for the clips are shown as the same date and time for all clips.
Where can I see the actual shooting date for each clip? I tried to use the old Win Movice maker on a WinXP machine, and here it works fine.
In corel VS I also tried to take one clip in the middle of the file and used the shared function to create an DV AVI file. This file I imported to VideoStudio - and now the date and time for this single clip is right. Unfortunately if I a convert all clips into one single file again I still have the problem.
In the past using VS10+ I noticed an issue importing sound and music clips. I did import them into my project from my music folder without any problems. The issue is when I deleted the sound and music clip from my folder it disappeared from my video project and I would have to get the clip back into my music folder and keep it in there until I burned a DVD. Is this routine for VS?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am importing some .avi files and burning to a disc. Most of the .avi clips are fine on the DVD, but two that have panning sequences are very jerky. I checked the source .avi files and they pan smoothly.
I've explored changing the Speed to Quality slider and also the Frame Type (Upper/Lower field first) setting to no avail.

Cannot preview .MPG files.VSPro5 won’t play MPG clips.
I have only ever worked with AVI files, MOV files OR Video_TS files with few problems and have recently upgraded from CVSProX4 to X5. A family member has asked me to put all his home movies onto DVD. These are in MPG format.
I can import all the individual clips into CVSProX5 – however, the clips will only play when they are selected as the whole project. Selecting an individual clip for editing purposes results in a green screen. However I can manually move the scrubber through every frame within that clip (with an absence of sound) – but will not play that clip. I have converted some clips to .MOV format and can then play (and edit) and listen to individual clips.
I don’t particulary want to convert many hundreds of individual .MPG clips.
I just created a project with many different clips. Some of them play perfectly while others are jerky in playback. The original videos were imported to Correl from video files downloaded from the internet. Some of them are MPEG and others are AVI. It seems that the MPEG files play fine while the AVI files are slow. Not sure why this is since I created another very similar project and the AVI files in that project played back fine.

When I add a clip the sound is ONLY played when volume for the clip is 100% (other value makes the clip mute) and is the clip preview, not the project preview. (project preview plays only the added soundtrack- if there is any).
Even if volume is 100%, when exporting the project, clip sound is muted (only the added soundtrack will sound).
- Of course I have tested several clips, and with or without an additional mp3 soundtrack.
- I also installed the just released VS SP 1, but no changes.
- I export (Share) using Vimeo HD template.
- Problem is not shown if I use VS 11 (which I also has installed).
My system characteristics are in my profile and also here:

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy question: I prefer to shoot my videos in 720p, to optimally match my TV. I see that in VideoStudio, the only 720p option is by using HDV. Is there any other way to get 1280x720 output? I see that AVCHD and Blu-Ray only offers 1980 and 1440 options, both which resize my videos (which I do not want). I'd like to save back as 1280x720 MP4, but VS's MP4 option doesn't provide this.
(Now that I think about it, why does VideoStudio offer 1440 rather than 1280? I thought 1920x1080 and 1280x720 were the common HD formats.)
Taken video clips with that camera? It uses mpg4 ACE (which is not a codec known to VideoStudio) and my PC tells me that the clips come at 30.05 fps. What can I do now? Why the clips aren't 29.97 fps?

Is there a way to adjust the volume at a point in the project so that the audio to the right follows the volume setting, including all the clips to the right of the edit point? I like to bring down the audio for a good portion of the project then bring it back up etc. It would be very time consuming to have to do this for each clip.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having problems downloading clips to my computer. I successfully connect the camera to the USB port and can see it in Windows Explorer. The camera is a Canon Legria HFR 16E. The software that came with the camera(Pixela) does not respond because it can't read the clips (something to do with streaming, I think).
I tried to read in with Video Studio and received the message " Either no video capture driver is installed in this system, or no device is connected". I did successfully download clips earlier in the year but did have this same problem a couple of years ago. This was because the USB Connection Type was not set to "Computer/Printer" I reset this and then the problem was solved. However, this time I have checked the camera and the USB connection type is definitely set to "Computer/Printer" so I cannot think what is causing the problem.
I want to use Video Studio X4 mostly for keeping track of all my video clips. So I want to import a lot of short clips into Video Studio, view them, and rename the ones that I want to keep (with a better name than the one the camera gives), and I want to delete (from my hard drive) the clips that I do not need.

After using multi trim and the trimmed clips are now back in the sub library, I want to mark where they are so that I can easily locate them.I have tried to drag a colour clip from the timeline but this is not being allowed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedCan I overlap clips without a transition? Here's what I'm trying to do (VS Pro X3) - I have about 30 clips that I'm putting together. All of the clips need trimming at both ends. With Sony Vegas 9, I only had to trim the beginning of each clip because then I could overlap the clips to "trim" the END of each clip (the clip previous to the overlapping clip). It appears to me that with VS Pro X3 I have to trim both ends of each clip and then put them all together end-to-end because when I overlap them, the overlapping clip doesn't actually overlap the previous clip on the timeline, but both clips transition into one another. What I want is for the overlapping clip to truly overlap the previous clip, effectively ending that clip at the point of overlap. If I don't want transitions, must I trim all clips on both ends and put them together with no overlaps?
And BTW I don't use my Sony Vegas 9 (Platinum Pro Pack) any more because the program has a bug that makes mp4 rendering impossible, and other renders very sketchy.
I've been using X5 to edit a project that has about 20 small clips in it. I've noted that (1st occurrence of this) moving from one clip to the next in the main project timeline, the sound in the next clip just vanishes. Selecting the affected clip individually and then playing confirmed its got sound there.
This was first seen after turning ripple editing on (the little padlock went from open to closed). But various measures did not remove the effect:
- turning ripple editing off
- delecting the affected clip - the next clip in turn was affected by this
- closing X5 without saving the project changes, then re-starting X5 and opening that project. At the same point in the timeline, sound went away.
Is there any known explanation for this, and how can I remove this effect?
I just started using videostudio prox5 and Im having a hard time figuring out how to do this. Basically I have dvds of football games for minor league football, how do I go about using prox5 to extract certain parts from the dvd that I have? I tried importing from media from the dvd drive and it imports the video but how do I go about extracting parts of the video and save it to my computer so I can go back and create a highlight video of all the extracted clips?
