I have spent ages syncing music perfectly with accompanying video in my timeline. When I create the movie though and turn it into an MPEG-4, the entire audio seems to be delayed by a half second or so. It might not sound like a lot but it means all the video that I timed to music is now off. I've had this problem with previous versions of Ulead.
View 14 RepliesAm I doing something wrong when setting up the menu and rendering a DVD? Everything sounds perfect/ lines up when I view it in my timeline but after it is burned to a DVD the sound is off by 2-3 seconds. It's only a 15 min video.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to VSP X5. I want to edit a music video that I recorded live. The live recording of the music was fine but I need to cut and paste new video clips in certain part of the songs in the video timeline. I split the audio from the video.
I am having a hard time trying to sync the audio because every time I cut the video clip, the video keeps snapping back, making audio out of sync. Also, when adding transitions, video clips automatic shrink. I tried enable ripple, video still snap back. Is there a setting in the preference?
I have a timing problem when exporting slideshows to video, they just drift out of sync. Using 'fit to music' the preview syncs perfectly but the pictures overrun by about 4% when exported to an MP4 file. I can correct this by clipping the show and dissolve times manually but that means doing the maths and rendering it out (several times) to get it perfect.

Now I have 10 or so video clips that need to be inserted in certain places on the timeline to be sync'd with the music. But everytime you bring a clip into the video row it automatically locks to the last clip entered. Why can't you place the clips of the artists playing, in the correct place in the timeline? Also isn't there a way to display the audio track as a waveform?

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason - some of these were converted to my own "5.1 mix" (6 channel audio) using another editor, others are 2 channel audio. They're all 29.97 fps. Bitrates and resolutions vary greatly. Clip lengths are anywhere from 2 minutes minimum to about 5 minutes max. All the files do play in Media Player and Nero, and they stream (without transcoding) to tv thru LG BD player. Other files created/edited exactly the same way can be loaded into VS4. After creation all were run through DIVX Plus Converter for upload to YouTube and I (like a dummy) accidentally deleted the wrong files after upload.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.
I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.
I have created an album in my Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer. When I view it as a slideshow in the Organizer, I can add the music of my choice from my Itunes library.
When I try to SHARE my album on line through Photoshop Showcase, I can make a few setting changes (i.e. pan&zoom, different themes....) but cannot seem to change the music track which is always the same.
The album would be so much more interesting with my own music selection.
When cutting video shots in sync with a music track how can I remove part of a clip and replace with a new shot. I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am editing footage for a nonprofit and they gave me footage of an interview that is an MPEG Movie, 1920 x 1080, Frame Rate: 29.97 and Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0. There is no in camera audio, but there was audio recorded separately in a .wav file. The interview was shot on a Canon 60D and I created a sequence from the .MOV file off the camera and put in the separate audio file. The problem is when I sync the beginning it will stay in sync for about 2 seconds before it slowly gets off sync the longer it runs. The video doens't look like it is running fast, but I have to slow it to almost 80% before the audio even matches for more than a second. I don't understand why they will not sync up.

My video format is FLV.. but when i tried with other format, same thing happen.
What I am proposing to do is this: I have been asked to do the video for a friend's wedding. I would like to use a seperate audio recorder to record the audio of the wedding while I do the video on my camcorder. Then import the seperate audio track into VS X4 and sync it up with the video. The reason I am going to this extra trouble is that the built-in microphones on my camcorder are not that great unless I am "up close and personal" with the subject of the video. I have tried a short clip using an old MP3 player that records mono sound files and it appears to work well for the short video clip. What about with a longer clip, say up to an hour? If so, were there any problems keeping the video and audio tracks in sync?

I'd like for the 'frame' to make the footage look like a 1920's photo that is damaged around the edges. I want to give the audience the impression they are looking at an old photo that has an animated video in it.
I've exported a few samples as a test. The center was transparent upon export, yet became white when I re-opened the image. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The background setting was selected as 'transparent'.
In LR4 when I burn my slideshow video to a USB and play on my TV, the slideshow works fine but the mp3 music skips during transitions. Played on the PC music is fine. I am using 'fit to music'

I copied ALL of my music CDs to my hard drive and to my iphone etc. They are there and I can play them. I have been unable to add my music. For example this is what happens when I am in Photoshop Elements 10 slideshow:
* ADD MEDIA
* Audio from folder
* iTunes
* iTunes Media
* Music from CDs
* every folder I try returns the message "no items match your search".
I am syncing pictures , effects and video snippets to a song. Why is that when I ever I add a new set of pictures or effect, it moves my music as to make space for it despite using a different layer. Is there a way to lock the music in place as I add more photos and media?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen we capture music from CD's in Pro X3, the last few seconds of the songs get cut off. Or the recording skips, cuts out a few seconds of the song right before the end, and then captures the end of the song. It's an intermittent problem with no rhyme nor reason that we can figure out as to which songs are being affected. But once a song has been captured and the end garbled, that same song will always be garbled no matter how many times we delete the recording and recapture it.

I am reducing the Clip volume to 3 (I think that is 3%) and it is still too loud. If I move it down to 2, it is inaudible. Is there another adjustment somewhere? I really cannot have a background music compete with the narration!

I understand 5.1 has 5 channels, so are the speech & SFX separated from the music?
By the way, it's enough to have only ONE channel with ONE type of sound (i.e. music), because then I can extract it and reverse-phase it to (partially) cancel out it's equivalent from the master audio track. It's not perfect but enough.

The issue is when I deleted the sound and music clip from my folder it disappeared from my video project and I would have to get the clip back into my music folder and keep it in there until I burned a DVD. Is this routine for VS?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?
As a newbie hopping to put video with my still images I started out by making a DVD of a video of a boat followed by the same boat after Mercali processing. Video were fine and Mercali worked as it says. How do you get a plain DVD without one of the fancy backgrounds that the program makes you chose to start the DVD which need titles and without horrible music that came from nowhere? I cannot find how to make a video with nothing at the start that goes straight into the video you have made. All I want is how to make a DVD of my videos (I can put the title on top of the video at the start) that you put into a DVD player that self starts or at worst needs you to press play on the remote control.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have VideoStudio X3 Pro and just want to convert all my DV tapes to DVD - no background music, no fancy themes, just conversion with a menu and 15 minute automatic chapter breaks (or scene breaks using the X3 scene detection).
The only way I can test the themes provided in X3 to see if they have background music is to burn a tape to DVD. That just isn't very efficient.
how I can do this, which theme to use, or a way to adjust the theme before it burns?
