I'm cs 3 user. I want to make a gifs using music video. But when I tried to import the video, it said 'could not complete the video frames to layers command because the movie file could not be open'.
My video format is FLV.. but when i tried with other format, same thing happen.
I'd like to make a graphic to be used to frame video footage for a music video I am shooting. I'd like for the 'frame' to make the footage look like a 1920's photo that is damaged around the edges. I want to give the audience the impression they are looking at an old photo that has an animated video in it.
I've exported a few samples as a test. The center was transparent upon export, yet became white when I re-opened the image. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The background setting was selected as 'transparent'.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I switched to Photoshop Elements 10 and subsequently 11 (both are on my computer), I have been unable to add music media.
I copied ALL of my music CDs to my hard drive and to my iphone etc. They are there and I can play them. I have been unable to add my music. For example this is what happens when I am in Photoshop Elements 10 slideshow:
* ADD MEDIA
* Audio from folder
* iTunes
* iTunes Media
* Music from CDs
* every folder I try returns the message "no items match your search".
So I decided to try my hand at making gifs and so I attempted to upload a video by going to file -> import -> video frames to layers. Before even letting my pick my video it comes up with an error message saying "could not complete the video frames to layers command because dynamiclink is not availible." I then tried file -> open -> and then selected the video and no matter what file type or size I chose I ended up with the same error message.
I looked this problem up and attempted some of the solutions but to no avail. I tried clearing my preferences and restarting photoshop many times in addition to restarting my computer. I also checked to make sure it wasn't being blocked by any firewalls and it wasn't. My opperating system is Windows 7 and I'm using photoshop cs6.
I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 for the first time I want to make animated GIFs for my blog on Tumblr, gifs that I can easily add my own watermark to, so If they're used, I'll have credit for creating them. I know a gif is a series of moveable pictures, but that's all I know. Any links to how-to articles/simplest information you can give will be extremely useful.

I am having a hard time trying to sync the audio because every time I cut the video clip, the video keeps snapping back, making audio out of sync. Also, when adding transitions, video clips automatic shrink. I tried enable ripple, video still snap back. Is there a setting in the preference?
When I make an image in Photoshop with a low opacity and want to publish it on the web. How do I doe it? If I save as *.gif they become solid again.

When I create the movie though and turn it into an MPEG-4, the entire audio seems to be delayed by a half second or so. It might not sound like a lot but it means all the video that I timed to music is now off. I've had this problem with previous versions of Ulead.

Now I have 10 or so video clips that need to be inserted in certain places on the timeline to be sync'd with the music. But everytime you bring a clip into the video row it automatically locks to the last clip entered. Why can't you place the clips of the artists playing, in the correct place in the timeline? Also isn't there a way to display the audio track as a waveform?

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason - some of these were converted to my own "5.1 mix" (6 channel audio) using another editor, others are 2 channel audio. They're all 29.97 fps. Bitrates and resolutions vary greatly. Clip lengths are anywhere from 2 minutes minimum to about 5 minutes max. All the files do play in Media Player and Nero, and they stream (without transcoding) to tv thru LG BD player. Other files created/edited exactly the same way can be loaded into VS4. After creation all were run through DIVX Plus Converter for upload to YouTube and I (like a dummy) accidentally deleted the wrong files after upload.

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.
I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.

The movie "clips" play fine, but whenever I play the project, there seems to be compression of the video or something- it the video just becomes unclear and fuzzy. It is not sharp. I'm not sure if it's because it's too big or if I have the wrong settings.

I have about 80-100 pdf's that I want to change from 300dpi to 100dpi indexed color and save as gif.
If I create an action
Convert pdf to gif
with steps
Mode > Indexed Color
Save as gif
running this action as a batch only opens the files. I am left with files open in RGB mode, not indexed color. This means the batch processor did not run any of the steps in my action. (Yes, I did make sure in the batch dialog that I specified my action set.)
Here is my action in the action menu.

Convert mode
To: indexed color mode
Pallette: adaptive
Colors: 64
Forced: Black and white
Without transparency
Matte: None
Save
As: Compuserve GIF

Here are my steps, using a test folder with 2 pdf's:
1. Launch Photoshop
2. File > Automate > Batch
3. Batch dialog:
Set [my set]
Action [pdf to gif]
Source: Folder
Choose: [my test folder with 2 pdf's]
Destination: Folder
Choose: [my testgif folder, empty]
File naming: Document name + extension
Errors: Log errors to file
File: [my testgif folder, empty]/error.txt
4. OK
5. Set resolution to 100dpi.
6. Click OK for 1st pdf.
7. Click OK for 2nd pdf.
Actual result:
Both files open and stay open.
Both files are still RGB mode.
No gif's in testgif folder.
errors.txt reads:
Start Batch
End Batch
Expected result:
Files closed (possibly I have to add a Close step)
2 gifs in the testgif folder.
Using an action of Save for Web in place of Mode > Indexed color also did not create any gifs.
I'm wondering whether the PDF dialog on open is throwing a wrench into the works.
i know how to make a transparent image in gimp, and i know how to make gifs in gimp, but if the background istransparent on the gifs, it shows the previous layer on the gif, how do ifix that?
p.s whenever i edit gifs, they turn out just fine, but I want to make myown so...
I cant make the music duration slider in the slideshow go to 3.7. I can only get it to go between 3.6 & 3.8 Can this be done. Fit to Music does not work for slideshow. Music ends before pictures
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there.When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.

I read that there is a color shift issue when Rendering Video from Photoshop due to the lack of color management in some video players. I know this is more a player issue than a Photoshop issue, but I want to be able to make my video look best across all players.
Is there any kind of general rule for an adjustment I can make?
I can't seem to find much information on Google about this particular shift with regards to PS' Render Video.
I made several good videos with a JPEG or PSD photo as the media and an audio file as the audio. This worked fine but recently all I get on the video is the audio without the picture. I have tried it on two different downloads of CS6 on different computers and it no longer works.

All the edges I've made want to let the video show through the white border. How to do this? I just need a white border around a video to appear as if it's a photograph.
