Is there a way to include the document properties window as a docker. I open many files a day that contain cnc machine information (in the file's document properties) that I need to access before sending the file to the cnc machines. this information were always displayed and editable in a docker. I didn't see it in the dockers menu but was hoping there was another way to do it. I'm using X6.

After some unknown action on my part eps export started replacing Arial Bold text with Courier characters using Arial font spacing. The Corel Draw view shows Arial Bold text and identifies it as such in the top button bar. When I looked at the text properties docker it was completely blank, absolutely nothing visible at all.
I can select the Artistic and Paragrah text default properties in the Object Styles Docker, but the similar information about character, paragraph, and frame that I used to have in the text properties docker is now just a grey empty panel.
I have done one reinstall without removing user files. Thet did not change anything. I have done another reinstall after removing also all user files in the uninstall. Still got an empty text properties docker but the eps export now works correctly.
how to get back the furniture that used to be in the Text Properties Docker?
why is it when i open excel and run document properties, i input information into "Author", "Title" and "Subject", if i am in Detail view in windows explorer, and i have these columns visible, they show right up. But when i run DWGPROPS in autocad and i input information into "Author", "Title" and "Subject", they do not show up?
I'd like to export certain properties from an ai-document to XML. The XML will be post-processed using XSLT. Secretly, I'm hoping that I can invoke the Reflection-system (as mentioned brifely, I might add) in the ExtendedScript Toolkit CS6 Core JavaScript Classes.
How to get reflection working for JavaScript objects (both built-in and the ones I've created in code my self)? Are there any guides that are relevant in my case? (Try googling "illustrator script reflection" and you get a bunch of flip object scripts ...)
My company is building a template library, and I want to fill in the .DWG document properties by extracting the information from a the block attributes
For example we need the following document properties (TITLE, SUBJECT, and KEYWORD) to be filled in from the same block attributes (TITLE, SUBJECT, and KEYWORD). The template we have now has this information manually input, but we would like to "automate" it on the .DWG document properties.
How do we do this, use a macro or is there some other way to do this automatically?
CorelDraw X6 Patch 3 HF 1 (although this seems consistent across a number of versions)
We've noticed in some of our files (especially files that have been around for a long time) that the Document Properties lists a lot more fonts than are actually used in the file. Additionally, other users are prompted to replace missing fonts that aren't used in the file either.
Is there some way to have CorelDraw rebuild/purge its Document Properties (or at least the fonts)?
I'm testing demo version of this product and I would like to know how to change output parameters of mpeg-4 codec (Share->Create Video File->MPEG-4-> MPEG-4 HD). I live in Europe and my video source is Full HD 25fps, but Video Studio's mpeg-4 codec has only parameter constants 30fps.
When I select Settings>Project Properties, I only have two options: MPEG (SD MPEG2) and AVI. How do I set project properties to high definition such as AVCHD?
I have three video files. Each has a different frames per second. Each has a different audio format. Each has different bit rates. One has upper field first, one has lower field first.
Im assuming that I cannot simply drop the three files into the time line and produce one output file (obviously with the lowest bit rate and fps).
Do I assume correct? and if so, how does one combine files with vastly different properties to produce one output file?
Problem I was having was using clips of various sizes and properties in the same project. Original entry follows below.
I have a new system (see my profile) that I think should work with Pro X4 just great.
However, I had some AVI videos I tried to edit. I could not get frame resolution in the time line, as I remembered getting with older Corel products editing MPEG files.
Nevertheless, I was able to edit AVI and get good results as long as the AVI files did not have sound. When I tried to edit AVI with sound, preview was unusable. The transitions got lost during the preview, and the sound dropped out around cuts and splices and transitions.
Needless to say, editing did not go well without a decent preview. Are these artifacts of trying to edit AVI files, or is there something else amiss? Should I be capturing in MPEG or some format other than AVI?
The following settings seemed to get the best preview results, but I still had sound drop outs around cuts, splices, and transitions (which are splices). I expected the sound to x-fade around transitions.
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps) MPEG files 24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps Upper Field First (DVD-NTSC), 16:9 Video data rate: Variable (Max. 6000 kbps) Audio data rate: 384 kbps Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
I set the project to MPEG, even though the source was AVI, because it seemed to improve the preview response time a bit, but not enough to make a real difference.
if i add a video file to corel studio x4 and all i do is cut out certain parts of that video file, how do export the file with the same video attributes, the same properties as the original file? do i use the option under create video file "same as project settings" or do i use "same as first video file?" I don't want any change in the video file i want it to remain the same as the original file.
When a video is loaded does it make a difference for the output what the project properties is set to, standard the project properties is always mpeg in my Videostudio X5, while i am editing avi or mp4 etc..?
Is there a way to see which field order a video has like progressive of upper field etc? Right click the video file in Studio does not give the answer. When i open mediainfo or another like gspot i do also not see field order yet maybe under a different name there is: progressive but is that frame beased, UFF or LFF?
What are the best Project Properties settings to choose when starting a project with AVCHD source clips? I may be asking a dumb question here, but I have tried to search the database, and can't find a thread that gives me what I am looking for. My camera is a JVC Everio GZ-HM320B and the clips it records have the following properties:
File Format - NTSC HDMV Video Type - H.264 Video, Upper Field First Attributes - 24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 16:9 Frame rate - 29.970 framse/sec Date rate - Variable bit rate (Max 22599 kbps) Audio type - Dolby Digital Audio Attributes - 48000 Hz Bit rate - 256 kbps
These clip properties were taken out of VS X4 by right clicking a clip and selecting Properties in the menu that popped up. I am concerned that I might be loosing some of the original clip quality when creating a project. I have read elsewhere on this Board that when creating an AVCHD DVD, the best workflow is to choose Create Disk after completing a project, Rather than choosing Create Video File. When I choose Create Disk, the burn module starts by defaulting to LPCM audio, and a Video data rate of 16000 kbps. I know these are adjustable to Dolby sound and up to 18000 kbps Video rate, but I wonder if I choose a different Project Properties setting when I start the project, if I might save some video quality.
In VS X4 we do not have the ability to match the project properties to the specs of the source video. When editing "project properties", we only have two choices for compression (NTSC DVD and PAL DVD) which only allow a maximum resolution of 720. In X2 we had many more choices which included MPEG-2 where we could get up to 1920.
I thought it was rule number one to match the project properties to the source video. Maybe that is not so important anymore, but snapshots for freeze frames must be done in project mode to include any attributes. The resulting snapshot is the resolution of the project properties and therefore not the same as the orignal video. Once rendered, it will not look the same as it's parent frame. Maybe freeze frames are not important to anyone else, but they are to me.
I shoot with a Canon HV20, so I need 1440x1080. I have created an empty project in X2 with the correct properties that I use to start projects in X3 and X4. X4 appears to maintain the project properties once they are set.
If I have multiple project files (.VSP) with different properties, can I batch process the individual files to their own respectful files? That is, if A.vsp is a HD edited video file, B.vsp is a SD file, C.vsp is a SD with different bit rate and screen ratio, etc, can I batch render all the files while they keep their respective properties (Same As First Video Clip)?
I have a HD mov file. When I drag it into my timeline I don't get a message to match the project properties to the file type even with the correct preference. I understand that with the mov file type this doesn't work in X4 anyway. Anyway, after a bit of trimming I want to create a file with exactly the same specifications as the original.
I obviously cant use same as project settings option. For some reason I do not have the same as first clip option either. So how do I tell X4 to keep the original file properties when creating a new file?
As I updated to a new camcorder (Sony HDR-CX130) and computer, I have a question about VS X4, that I am using.VS X4 is presented being a kind od ideal editing HD/AVCHD. I started to edit my MPEG-2_TS files with the presumption that I really was editing in HD. It goes quite well on my new PC, without Smart Proxy turned on! In the future I want to burn them on BlueRay-disks. Therefore I want to save my new projects in HD-mode.
But then I took a Look at the Project Properties and it is defaulted to MPEG-files 720x576 pix; SD-resolution. It seems that it is not possible to insert a Full-HD template or Full-HD-matching parameters. Media-type can't be changed to anything else then PAL-DVD.
One other issue then is that I use to use slow-motion and stills in my video-projects, for action-shots. Then I saw also that the stills (Snapshots token using 'Edit>Snapshot' (Correct? I use the dutch version)) don't have 1920x1080 pix, but 1024x576 pixels instead.
I searched the forum and found this topic about the project properties vis-a-vis HD-editing: URL....As far understood, the projectproperties don't matter that much, all material will be rendered Full-HD (upscaled?) in the share-step when selecting BluRay-disc or AVCHD-Video File. Then my questions:
- What is then the use of Smart Proxy and the Project Properties-Dialogue? - Will the stills be upscaled, so they integrate seamlessly in the endresult? - Is there a way to change the videostill/snapshot resolution to Full HD?
I'm developing a custom docker, as per this post. By default, the title of the docker will be set to the name of the class that implements the UserControl. How can this title be changed into something more meaningful?
I am running Corel x4, and have a floating colour palette docker that has 'slipped' off screen. Because I cant access/reach the title bar, I cannot redock or move it. I have tried closing the program & restarting, even in Corel x4 default Workspace, but when I open the program the docker is still partially off screen...
How to get the X5 table docker working in X6? Are there any easier ways to edit/manipulate tables in X6 over X5? So far all I've found is that I need to hit refresh more often as X6 has a tendency to make table content disappear when zooming to page view.
I must have pressed something, the details of the object in the object manager docker is not showing up, i always used it when selecting objects instead of selecting it from the document itself, how do i bring it back?
when I select some objects (could be in same layer or in diff layers), then go to lens docker and apply a 50% transparency, the areas of all the objects are changed to greyscale.
I can use the transparency tool and drag across for multiple objects and the transparency works great, but when i want to apply the same transparency to the whole thing (using the layer docker), it messes up.
... and when you go Ctrl-z to undo the changes, the lens docker doesn't update it's value to suit what the transparency has been undone to... so it's all whacked up.
I'm so sick of posting bugs. It feels like the functionality isn't tested very well at all.
I noticed that in CDX4 under the tranformations docker we had the "apply to duplicate" feature under the rotate option. However, I do not see it in CDX5.
Is this a change that was made to CDX5? Or am I missing something when I loaded CDX5 to my computer?
I've been using CorelDRAW X6 for a bit now (upgraded from X5), and I've noticed a few caveats so far.
1. Align nodes
When trying to align nodes, there seems to be some interesting behavior for alignment. When shift + clicking directly on the nodes, and then selecting Align nodes and performing an align operation (such as Horizontal), the nodes will all align to the last one selected.
However, if you perform the same operation, and marquee select each node individually, then it will always align to the same node. It doesn't seem to matter on which order you do it in.
Steps to reproduce on my end:- Open a new CorelDRAW X6 document- Draw a new object using the Freehand tool with multiple node points- Edit the shape using the Shape tool- Select multiple nodes by holding Shift+dragging around the nodes- Align nodes, see which node it aligns to- Undo Align nodes, redo the same selection but different order- Align nodes, should align back to the same node regardless of the order
Is this to be expected? In CorelDRAW X5 it seems to go to the last node selected, regardless of marquee selection or click selection, unless this behavior was changed for some particular reason. Would just like to know if it's just me doing something wrong here.
2. Color docker
For the Color docker, there seems to be an issue that is mostly cosmetic, but it is noticeable. When the Color docker is open and docked, switching from a palette to color viewers resizes the palette on reselect.
Steps to reproduce on my end:- Open CorelDRAW X6, start a new document, enable the Color docker and dock it- Switch to a Palette (such as Pantone)- Restart CorelDRAW X6 to ensure that it is properly sized, and start a new document- In the Color docker, select another tab, such as the Show color viewers- Select back the Palette. All of the boxes should be oversized and the whole docker should now be larger than normal- Restart CorelDRAW X6 and it will return to normal until another tab is selected again.
One last thing about the Color docker. Is there any reason in particular that the Eyedropper Tool from the left hand menu is discrete? I realize that an Eyedropper tool has been added to the Color docker (threw me off initially), and that only seems to change the color within the docker, but it would be nice to have the same options from before with the main Eyedropper tool (1, 2x2, 5x5, etc) that was available before.
Note: I am using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 6.1 (CorelDRAW version 16.1.0.843) 64-bit.
