I am using Video Studio Pro X5. Is there any way to create interlaced wmv contents? I can create interlaced mpeg2 files but could not create interlaced wmv. Will upgrade to Pro X6 would work?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI love the inclusion of ProDAD in Corel X4 Ultimate. Some shots we would have binned have been effectively ressurected!
Only gripe is that we make Pal 50i Blurays and I hate having to render things twice.
So for that reason we normally output at 50i and simply add to Nero and it can very quickly author and burn these files with almost no rendering.
We cannot output at 50i with ProDad Mercalli inserted onto our clips. It will certainly render the timeline but it comes up with a horrible darkened screen over the shot which has had Mercalli added to it. It says that the clip needs to be analysed again. The clips have already been analysed and we have no problems rendering at 25p. Is there a work around for this or our Corel addressing this issue? I know that Mercalli in other video editing software has the ability to manipulate interlaced shots but I thought it wouldn't matter for rendering.
When I save something as a png, Photoshop asks if I want it interlaced or not. What's the difference?

I have a camera move in action to move between a couple of still images. This is going into an interlaced programme so I'd like the move to be interlaced (50i). Currently the ouput is rendering progressive frames and I can't see how to change this within cfx/action.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the VX3/PSX3 bundle. So far we love the flexibility and ease of creating a project. We do a lot of transferring, such as 8mm and VHS for family and friends. Our most recent project included five 20 minute reels of 8mm film. The finished project with menus and credits was just about 1 hour 58 minutes with a size of 6.6GB.
We have a a Blu-Ray burner as well as a DL DVD burner so that size should be fine since we were going to just make a DL DVD. I then went to the SHARE tab and selected the "Create a movie" link. I chose the mpg option just out of familiarity. All went well until I noticed that it broke my project into 2 seperate movies (movie.mpg and movie001.mpg). The first was a bit larger than the second, but almost equal in time. I thought maybe I did something wrong and reran it. The second try yielded basically the same result...two movie files, but this time the second was only 9 minutes long while the first was 1 hour 48 mins. I do not want the extra links on the DVD Menu. The cousin that this is going to is NOT very electronics savvy and the extra buttons on the menu may cause a complete mental breakdown. How I can keep this 6.6GB project as one complete file for DVD authoring? I can forward along file info if need be when I get home.
When calling the DVD burn capability from VSP X3, it seems like there is no choice in DVD factory to create a DVD without a style. I simply want to play the video once through to completion when inserted into a player. Am unable to find the answer in the forums or the "documentation."

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn creating a video output I am looking for WMV Frame Width 720 Frame Height 480. I have created outputs with WMV HD 720 30p that is 1280 by 720... My issue when I stream that wireless over to my game systems or even my laptop. I am getting lagg. I get no lag on video outputs with WMV 720 by 480. Those video I created with Microsoft MM. I just got VideoStudio and its great! , but my issue I would like to output to WMV 720 by 480 and I do not see that option.
I have been on game forums and wireless forums, and since the WMV 720 by 480 and still working. I am trying to use VS3 to output to that for testing.
My setup is that my game systems and laptop are connected to TV in the house so I stream our events to them for people to see.
WMV HD 720 30p that is 1280 by 720 - is causing the lagg...

I edit files in HD on PRO X4 and when I want to burn project to DVD The software crashes , what am I not doing right?, and another question, I want when I watch on DVD There is two black stripes on the screen up and down.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing VS Pro X2 on a 2.67GHz i5 with 4GB of memory running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Had lots of problems creating this project as during rendering to DVD or to a file it would get about 80% and then get the dreaded "Program not responding" message from Windows 7 Home Premium. I solved that problem by reducing the size of the many images that I had in the project and successfully rendered to an mpg file which has sound ok.
Now when I try to render to a DVD, at the preview stage there is no sound, but there was sound before I reduced the size of the images in the project.
I'm having problems on two different PC's with creating a Share/Create Disk/ DVD project in Video Studio 11+. On one PC after I create the DVD project (three separate videos each with its own menu, etc) and save it, when I return later to actually burn the DVD the chapter names are gone. The rest of the information seems to still be there.
To try to get around the above problem I moved the videos, music, etc to my laptop (also Video Studio 11+) and there when I add the three videos to the Share/Create Disk/ DVD project and then click on Add/Edit Chapters, the video does not open up to allow me to move the jog bar and add chapters. If I click on the auto add option Visual Studio crashes.
PS...I have the same experience on the laptop with Video Studio 12...
The program comes with a nice selection of title appliqués. The problem arises when you try to use one of them. I am able to make a nice title using the appliqués as a starting point. After changing the text, I basically change the font and color. The new text takes but when I attempt to include that title on my time line, as soon as it starts to run it reverts back to the colors and fonts of the included app. If I attempt to save my changed title, it first reverts back to the original colors and fonts, then saves it. How in the world do I get one of those things to stick.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't find an easy, out-of-the-box way to create a 1920x1080 file from my clips. My clips are shot in HD (1080p) and I can output in 1080 via .mp4, but not .avi. I've been producing in .mp4 and converting through an external tool to .avi, but quality is lost a bit.
I tried using "custom" and user-defined resolution, but the file size was enormous and didn't playback correctly in WMP. When I select the compression types, it locks out user-defined resolutions.
I am having a problem trying to create a DVD with multiple "independent" videos. I want each one to be selectable on the main menu and to act independently of the others. When the selected video is finished, rather than going on to the next video, I wanted it to return to the introduction screen for the user to select another video or exit.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been subscribed to Hallmark's website for a long time. I paid them the fee to select and send any of their 'Premium' cards for the 1-year rate. However, I'm extremely disappointed in Hallmark's website, their Ecard offerings, etc. Their list of choices is very small, and many of the cards do not even fit the categories they are placed into. Hallmark has fallen way short of the reputation for quality that it used to have years ago. I'm referring to its website's online greeting cards.'
So, I want to know how I can use Video Studio X5 to create my own personalized animated "Ecards" (including sound) that I can send as Ecards. I have found no animated GIFS in the downloadable stuff from Corel, although I can create my own, if necessary. Neither have I found any quality 3rd-party programs for creating online Ecards; most are junk (according to reviews I've read).
I would be working mostly from very short avi files, jpg images, and adding my own text and sounds. An objective is to keep each filesize smaller than 25MB's so that each Ecard can be E-mailed.
I upgraded from the old Video Studio 10 Plus to the Corel Pro 3X. I am now in the process of downloading all the Get More updates. While I am doing this, here is my Menu/Chapter problem.
1. I created the first video (part 1). I somehow have a main menu, and the the second menu has my chapters to select. Yay! I saved the menu to My Favorites. The DVD works great, a person can select a chapter to play,etc.
2. Now I am trying to create the second video (part 2). Somehow in My Favorites I have two menu templates from the first DVD I created. I have tried selecting each one and am trying to create a main menu, and then the second menu with 4 chapters. But each time I end up with 4 chapter menus, but I want the second menu to have the 4 chapters on it that you select a chapter thumbnail that your want to view.
I hate to start from scratch because I like the fonts, etc. from the first DVD, which is part 1.
Is there a way to change VS X4's setting to play after creating an MPEG file. After I edit a file, I create an MPEG, either DVD or Blu-Ray, and I have to go into options everytime to turn off the play after creating default.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Corel Videostudio Pro X5 and have been filmimg in ACVHD.MTS format this year for the first time on motorsport events, I've edited all my 2013 footage and all is looking great.and now i want to save the footage into a file on my PC to upload into Sony DVD Architect to make a quality DVD production.
I have done this routine with my SD footage for several years and had no issues at all and created some great DVDs but now i'm using HD footage i'm getting lost with all the video formats that are available.
Basically which is the best format to save my video file onto my PC before i upload it into Sony DVD Architect? I tried the first option HDV which looked great and a reasonable file size but then it started to flicker and freeze during play back on my PC.
Also, even though i've been filming in HD i still only want to make a standard DVD because i share my work with friends who do not have Bluray players, will this be an issue since i have filmed in HD all year? All i after after really is the best quality footage i can produce for my DVD.
I am using VS2 and have been working on creating a "hybrid DVD" AVCHD video. I have a Canon HD video camera and an HP computer (w/regular DVD burner) with an i7 quad. Hybrid DVD is played on a Bluray player and HD TV. Everything is working well with editing the clips etc... Rendering has gone well with no real problems. I recorded video at the highest setting 24 Mbps. When I click on properties for a (m2ts) clip in the timeline it indicates 21,0000 to 22,000 Kbps that seems normal. I than go directly to the burn step (Create disc>AVCHD) and proceed to burn the disc at 4X. When I click on the middle icon (thumbwheel) these are the properties:
MPEG files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps
Upper Field First
(HDMV-NTSC), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 18000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
These settings seem normal to me. Also, the "do not convert compliant......" is checked.
This is what I am not understanding. When the 18 minute HD project is brought into the burn disc module, it shows only 1.45 GB of data and after the disc is burned, the video file properties found on the disc show a total bit rate of 11,768. As a test with the same project, I did a (create video file>same as first clip) and created a mpg file that is 2.75 GB in size with a total bit rate of 21,649 which seems normal. I understand VS has a max of 18K but shouldn't I be able to create a hybrid disc with a data rate close to 18K. The video at the lower bit rate plays and look ok using my BR player but I wanted to find out if I could create a higher quality video on disc.
I have read probably every post relating to what I think my problem is and after trying a couple of things, I cannot increase the total bit rate of the video on my hybrid disc.
I usually create several smaller .vsp projects for managing purposes and in each project I create several chapter points by inserting the green arrow icon as described on page 96 of the user guide. I then combine a couple .vsp projects in order to fill a dvd by the following sequence:
1/ start with a new blank project
2/ click on 3 share tab up top
3/ click on create disc / dvd
4/ add 2 vsp projects or more
5/ Click add/edit chapters to confirm proper chapters points have carried through from previous vsp projects
It is at this point where I notice all chapter points have been deleted from the individual vsp projects which is very frustrating.
I have also updated with SP1 & 2, and I have checked to see that the software is up to date via the Corel Guide message center and it says that it is.
I have also noticed that if i create a DVD of one project, the chapter points stay intact, however the name of the selected clip changes to untitled.
I use VS 5 Ultimate to create discs. I'm not unhappy with it, but wonder if adding Moviefactory 7 pro is a better way to go.
