View 4 RepliesI just bought VS X3 and when i try to save a file all the file types are NTSC. I select:-
create video file >Blu-ray>
then all options are prefixed with NTSC but being in the UK I need PAL?
I have created and burnt a video and find that after burning it plays fine on a computer but not on television. Opening the video in Pro X3 and checking the Properties I find that it is in NTSC profile. Obviously not a lot of use in the UK. The television tells me that the DVD is an incorrect DVD, which I would expect if it's burnt for viewing on a computer or in NTSC format.
How can I change this to PAL DVD? When saved it is saved in Corel VS, which I would expect. When I go into the Library to obtain the video there appears nowhere where I can change it to PAL.
Looking at the differences of frames per second and vertical lines of NTSC and PAL I am wondering if video recorded in AVCHD NTSC can be successfully converted to PAL or will there be a noticable difference in picture height and speed?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI wish to only use PAL formats. Even though my original video files are always PAL the preset file formats default to NTSC. I have to use the Custom Format option every time. How can I get all the presets to default to PAL not NTSC?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFamily DVD - Footage has been shot in the UK (PAL camera) and edited in X3 - everything at 25 fps. I've managed to render a new mpeg2 file of the completed work n NTSC (29.97 fps). All of this in X3. I can see it's 29.97 by looking at the Properties of the new file.
But how to get this file onto a DVD at 29.97? I've tried bringing the 'NTSC' file into MovieFactory SE but I can't then get the Project Settings to show NTSC - only PAL.
I've set the Disc Template Manager to NTSC but if I then look at the Project Settings it's at 25 fps and I can't change it. If I go back to the Template Manager it's showing PAL again!!! I'm sure I didn't have any of this trouble in X2!!
So how can I burn a good quality DVD in NTSC format from my PAL project?
I usually produce simple slideshows on DVD from jpg files. These have always been PAL for use here in the UK. I now need to produce a version of one to send to people in the United States.
I can always test mine on my own DVD player/TV but I won't be able to test these and don't want an embarrassment of a Christmas present that doesn't work. Is it the case that I only need to change PAL to NTSC in the Project Properties, burn the DVD and everything will work?
I am in the UK and have been asked to transfer a NTSC video tape to a PAL DVD. I can do this easily as I have a NTSC video and converter, and have done this many times, but they also want a DVD to send to the USA in NTSC format. I was going to play the tape a second time without the converter but Is it as easy as just changing the setting in Videostudio 10 from PAL to NTSC or do I have to change anything else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been a user of previous versions of VS...but my last version was VS12 because I didn't like version 3 or 4. Finally I am trying Pro X5 on a trial. I completed a project in Pro X5 but now I want to save it out to my computer. The problem is that when I want to save it I am missing my compression options. My standard procedure was to go --> Share --> Save File --> Custom --> Options --> Compression and I could choose from 8 different Media Types...Now, in Pro X5 I only get 2 compression types...NTSC and PAL..
Here are some screenshots...
Version 12:
Version X5:
I have them both currently installed at the moment. Obviously, only running one at a time
I recently bought a Sony DCR-HC96E (PAL) video camera. I also have an older Sony DCR-TRV330 (NTSC) which I have used for years.
I recently took some video of a field partially covered with snow. When that clip was convered from the original downloaded PAL Widescreen AVI format to MPEG format for inclusion on an NTSC DVD I noticed lots of "shimmering" or wavering in the high contrast diference boundries between snow patches and ground. Further examination shows that effect is also along other contrast boundries during a subsequent snow mobiling trip.
By contrast when I converted to MPEG for use in a PAL DVD I do NOT see this effect. And, I do not recall seeing this when I used to convert from NTSC AVI downloads to PAL for DVD's.
I am trying to install a (boxed) version of VideoStudio X5 Ultimate as a fresh install. However, although I select either United Kingdom or PAL/SECAM as the TV standard, it installs with the NTSC settings as default.
I have used the VSX5_cleaner to ensure everything is removed, rebooted and re-run the installer but it seems to install the same every time.
We have two laptops (identical configuration) and it works perfectly on the first one.
I am installing logged in as the local administrator.
I can't just use the current settings as it is trying to download video from a Sony HVR-HD1000E camera at 30fps that has been recorded at 25fps...
I have Corel Video Studio Pro X3
I live in Europe so that's PAL. But I also want to make DVD's for my family in the USA, and that is NTSC. I know I can choose to burn a DVD in PAL or NTSC at the DVD factory.
What I do NOT understand is: When I want to edit my video files I can choose for PAL or NTSC at Settings>Preferences>edit color filter. What does this setting do?
Also when I check Project Properties it always says PAL, even when I choose NTSC at Settings>Preferences>edit color filter. How I can edit video files and then burn DVD's in Pal & NTSC format without having to make separate editing for both formats.
I am creating titles for a 720 PAL video (25fps) for the first time. Photoshop only has a default of NTSC 29.97 and no option for 720 PAL 25fps. How do I change this? I'm running Photoshop CS5 extended.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe Time Configuration dialogue isn't remembering when I set 'Custom' to 30. If I close and reopen the dialogue after setting 'Custom' to 30, it reverts to NTSC. If I set it to 3 or 4, for example, it sticks. Why is setting it to 30 reverting to NTSC when NTSC is NOT 30 fps?

This time I get an error starting PS CS3.The error message is: The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support. If I want to reinstall from the cd, its starts fine, but doens't do anything. If I start the setup from the cd, it does nothing.I tried windows - software - remove/reinstall, but also nothing happens. What can I do now? Is there a tool to remove PS?

I would like to uninstall PS CS4 on the same computer and keep the third party plugins in filters and goodies as well as my scanner twain without having to reinstall them. I seem to be having a problem with PS on my desktop but not on my laptop. Is that possible and if so how can I do it?Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm using Photoshop 6.0. Had to retire an old computer, but want to continue to use the Photoshop 6.0 software on my new laptop with Windows Vista Home.
Have the Photoshop 6.0 Upgrade CD for Windows, have the Serial Number from the previous version (had registered it, and it was stored on the Adobe website), have my Customer ID#.
When I put the CD into the laptop, it asks for the previous media (CD) which I do not have. Unable to get past this point of the installation.
How can I install the software to my new laptop?
I have recently bought the upgrade to PS cs4 and installed it over my cs3 version. Shortly after this windows crashed & I had to reinstall windows XP but I can't seem to reinstall PS cs4 I get a 1605 message. If I just try to run the old program which still on my C drive the program opens and then I get a 147:20 message sayiong I have to reboot(w/o success) I would uninstall ps, but the program won't let me get as far as being able
to deactivate it.
I need to uninstall, then reinstall PSCS4. Do I have to deactivate before uninstalling?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a computer crash and burn. My hard drive was ok, I have a new computer and have rearranged all my photos on the new hard drive. I need to start fresh with Lightroom but when I reinstall the software it auto loads the catalogs. I have about 7000 photos and its a big job but I have to do it. Can I reload Lightroom and not the catalogs?Â

Also, If I delete all metadata and previews associated with my pictures will this also delete all editing of my photos or will that just get rid of the Catalogs?
Until last week I had no problems importing, playing or editing Canon 60D RAW or MOV videos in Lightroom 5. Since then, ever time I tried to import MOV videos LR5 crashed and needed to be restared - but is now 'permanently' crashed (see below). I tried the following to overcome the issue, without success: Unistalled and reinstalled LR 5Updated video card driverInstalled QuicktimeOS (Win 8 Pro, 64 bit) up-to-dateUpdated monitor driver. My last attempt to overcome the issue involved disabling all LR5 plug-ins. I then tried to import a video file to see if that fixed the problem. LR5 again crashed, but this time it it appears to have crashed 'permanently' because when I try to reload LR 5 it gets as far as the LR screen, tries to load 'previous import' into 'Library' and then immediately crashes, i.e. I can't get into LR at all to try any other possible 'fixes'. I am now totally locked out of LR 5 because even after uninstalling and reinstalling LR it continues to crash immediately when I try to open it.
Â
Other info that may assist resolving the problem includes: The video files that can't be imported seem OK - I can play them through Windows Media Player and Quicktime.DivX not installed. Installed a new video card (Gigabyte GT610) and installed the latest driver from the Gigabyte website. I don't know if it's coincidental, but the new video card and monitor were installed before the problem arose. CPU is an i5 - 3550, 8Gb RAM (+-5Gb available), LR5 stored on 120Gb SSD with 8.3Gb free, photo/video files stored on a 680Gb HD partition with 55Gb free.Â
I have a new computer with PsCC installed. Unfortunately, I have to have my hard drives reformatted and Windows 8 reinstalled, so I have to reinstall PsCC on this same computer. Do I simply sign in, download and install PsCC and Bridge again when my computer is ready? Will Adobe count it as a second installation or do I need to deactivate PsCC before I reinstall it on the same machine?
