View 7 RepliesI want to write a script that hides the background partitions in every pass but the pass that is currently selected. Is this possible? If so, how would I accomplish this? I have been using VBScript for everything else, but an example of how to do this in any language would be useful.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 partitions on my Drive, is there a way for me to use both with the same cataolog? I know the drive names would need to be the same if this is possible. Basically I want changes to appear in the other partition if I switch back and forth....
right now I have light room installed on C and my catalog is on Documents on a different drive. Photos are on a Raid. So "C" system, "H" Documents and "G" Pictures.
I've created a room schedule in my template. Now while I was working on a project in that template, I couldn't add a new row. If I want to add rows, I have to create a new schedule and add rows in there and then it works.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been working on creating windows for the place I work. I want to make my windows so they are quick and easy to create new ones without having to add in new information like if the glass is tempered or if its an egress window. I would like to set up formulas for these. I am stuck at my egress window parameter. I have included an image of what I am working on and the calculations and formulas I have so far. I would like to have my egress check box to say yes if the Opening Width is greater then 20", the opening height is greater then 24" and the opening sf is greater then 5.7 Sf. How would I set this parameter up?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOur 50% plots don't print some entities. They plot fine at 100%. This occurs across multiple workstations. I first made sure that all the systems were updated with the latest updates and that the plotter driver was updated to see if that would fix it. No change. All workstations have Revit 2012 with update #2. Printing to and OCE TDS600 with the newest driver.

How or where I see all the fonts included in Revit all at the same time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to edit a mass so I have it isolated. I want to see how large something is so I need to dimension it. But when I create the dimension I can't see it. It is hidden.
It's hidden because I have everything hidden except for the mass. But the dimension wasn't included in the things to hide when I chose to isolate that mass. So why is it hidden now?
Is this normal for Revit? When you have something isolated, does it only ever just show the items you have isolated? Can't it ever show new objects too? Can you switch off this behavior so it displays the new objects too?
Very occasionally, plantings appear in green color. (Please see attached jpg "green") . These plants are Revit RPC objects from the library. For some unknown reason, in this particular building section drawing, the plants are showing in nice light green color. They also printout in this nice light green color.
But most of the times (and in other views in the same file...), the plants show in gray.
(Please see attached jpg "gray")
Is there a way to control the color so that all the RPC plants show in green. It would be ideal if the plants show in green (not gray) in all plans and sections/elevations, especially for conceptual design drawings.
I installed revit 2014, but the libraries cant load when search in the load family. In what directory was installed that libraries...?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a keyplan as a generic annotation family, with masked regions representing the various segments of the building. For some reason, my palette of hatches within this family template is very limited, and I cannot choose a dotted pattern for the masked regions, which is an informal company standard.
From what I've seen, adding new hatches is a cumbersome process. Since a simple dot pattern is available in project files though, is there a simple way to add that hatch to this family file?
I'm at my wits end trying to cut a wall with a void. I want to chamfer the corners of a wall, but I can't get even a basic void to cut from a wall. I get the error : "This Mass has no solid geometry for its Void Forms to cut. They must be deleted, or solid geometry added and cut." They clearly intersect, what am I doing wrong?

How do I attach its true coordinates so I can link other Revit and CAD files?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI notice that a 3D view on a Sheet, when the view is "activated" and with the crops regions on, can be reshaped, but I do not see a way to make what is shown on the view a tad "larger" (i.e., bigger, like zooming in). (I have tried, but I might be missing something?)
I wonder if there is way to scale a 3D on the sheet, to make the "scale" of only one of the 3D's larger on this sheet (without affecting the scale of the other views on the Sheet). Is this possible?
I'd like to know if there's a software or plugin that allows you to (semi-) automatically create MEP projects, e.g.:
(Electrical)
Once you have the masonry, you position the wall switches and plugs (set the type, wattage, etc), and the program automatically projects the wiring through the shortest route, including the gauge and protection, and possibly even the switchbox.
The same basic concept could be applied for hydraulic and air also, however, depending on the dimensions the program would need you to inform the areas/walls where it can place ducts/plumbs.
I am used to searching for Elements by using their IDs, however in editing a door family I have been stumped by a dialogue, herewith:
The unusual thing with this is that this dialogue is always followed by another stating that 'No good view could be found', whatever view I try to look for them in! Having opened every view in the family and done a search I am wondering what next to do?
