Premiere Pro :: Encore CS6 Dynamic Link
Jan 20, 2014I have noticed that since upgrading to CC I have had lots of time wasting work around to create a Blu Ray and DVD using Encore. In the past I used to create awesome quality Blu Rays and DVD from the same Encore Project dynamically linked to PrPro. But with CC the workaround is time consuming and I don't think the Blu Ray and DVD will be going away as predicted by Adobe. As a result of this I just can't wait to terminate my CC subscription at the end of my contract this year so I can revert to CS6.

Mar 4, 2014I have a very short sequence without errors in premiere pro, but when I drag the project over to Adobe Media Encoder, I get a "Dynamic Link Error"...
"There was an error when adding selected sequence to the batch".
Currently I have to export sequences one at a time, and that's not going to be cool in the near future.

Premiere Pro :: Dynamic Link - PR To AE Creates Comp But No Video Clips (files)
Feb 10, 2014I'm attempting to create a dynamic link from PR to AE (both CC) by right clicking on the desired clip in my PR sequnce and selecting "Replace with AE Comp". Doing so properly launches AE, asks me to save the AE project, and creates a comp with the correct parameters (duration, frame rate, size, etc) with the desired comp name. The sequence in PR shows the linked comp with the correct comp name. However, in both AE and PR the video clip is simply black. In my understanding of Dynamic Link, the original files (clips) should be sent over to the AE project. In my case, I only see the project with no associated files. Is there a trick (or a known reason) why the files would not be transpored to the AE project?

Mar 22, 2013So I've done a reasonable amount of work with dynamic blocks. I have a block with a rotation action and grip to arbitrarily align it. However I realized when trying to combine it with an alignment grip (which actions on the basic or fundamental block rotation angle) that there didn't seem to be a way to some how link a dynamic block rotation action or one of the custom angle properties to a the fundamental block rotation angle. Thus there are two additive rotations at work; the dynamic block one with its grip and the fundamental rotation property.
This can cause some confusion when one person aligns with the grip and another via rotating the block's fundamental property and would also be problematic in the generalized sense if one was trying to select or programmatically read back the net angle alignment.

May 10, 2011We recently switched to 64-bit ACAD on dell M6500 laptops. I used to use dynamic input all the time, but after the switch I noticed when using Dynamic input turned on, when you go to draw a LINE, after you pick the first point, the mouse "lags" and becomes "glitchy". I had the problem "fixed" once by our IT guy, he updated the driver or something and everything was fine.
But now it is doing it again.

Say I want to start a line a distance of 3 from another line using Otrack and a running endpoint snap. Before, I could just hover over the existing line's endpoint, move the cursor in the right direction, and enter 3 on the keyboard. Now in 2013, I need to have Dynamic Input (F12) turned on to get this behavior. 2012 was not this way.

Dec 20, 2013I'm running Mac OS 10.8.2, PPro 7.1.0, SG 7.2.
After applying a simple Primary grade in Direct linked SG project, saving and sending back to PPro causes PPro to crash and render the following error:
[/morereel64/releases/2013.09/shared/adobe/MediaCore/MediaLayer/Import erHost/Make/Mac/../../Src/Audio/AudioWaveform.cpp-173]
Then I get a "serious error" dialog and it shuts down.
Re opening the PPro project causes crash after the splash screen.
Opening any other PPro project, direct linking to SG, grading, and returning it to PPro causes this behavior.
This first happened after adding a mask. All transport controls froze, although I could still grade the frame I was stuck on. I saved and sent it back to PPro, and that was the first time PPro crashed. That project is now corrupted and crashes after the splash screen.
Now any direct link to SG causes a crash on return to PPro, and permanently corrupts the project.
Premiere Pro :: Media Link Lost On Project Load
Mar 19, 2014When I open my project the media associated with the project shows that it is loading in the lower left hand corner of the program. It gets to about 123 files left to load and then it stops. I then have to attempt to locate all the rest of files with the Link Media tool this works for a few files and then it stops responding. What is the problem and how do I keep my project linked to its media assets?

I know how to do it to each individual clip at a time, but when I select a whole folder, it always relinks the media to it's original destination and not the new destination with the color corrected files. I've looked around and tried the recommended steps offered on other threads. When I reboot my laptop it works again for maybe five minutes but the moment I try to import another video it doesn't work. If I close the program, wait 30 seconds, and try again I get the error message again. When I try opening Bridge the whole program freezes.

When I linked, they located fine but OK produce "the importer reported a generic error". I know the clips are on their hard drives and have not changed position. I am not sure of next step. I have always been able to link before though have not used "locate" dialogue box. Checking other projects reveals consistent problem with importer.

Nov 19, 2013I need to create a small table to ID the User, Computer name, Door Key, etc for a floor plan drawing of our office. I'd like to get this done in Excel and link it all so the bldg manager can make changes to the drawing without me. I have created the excel file and created a "name set" in excel for each room. In Autocad 2013 I have inserted a table from a data link and pointed that link to the named range of the room (the named range in excel is an 8 cel block with al the info I need repeated and uniquely named for each room.
This works great...so my next step is to create a block out of the table and make the DATA LINK a variable attribute...that's where I'm stuck. i cannot figure out how to do this. I would love to be able to INSERT BLOCK and have one attribute question...ROOM NUMBER?. That should look to the excel NAMED SET the corresponds and populate the table.

Video was viewed in 2013 in LR 4, but after install of CC and LR 5, playback is not functioning.Tried restarting LR 5, the HDD dedicated catalog and exporting a test file. The above error message occurred while trying to reimport the test video (.avi) file.
While in grid view, when curser moves over the thumbnail, image seems to fast forward. After clicking twice on the thumbnail, there is no image in Loupe view. There is kind of a weird black, white and gray graphic.One attempt to start playback resulted in this error message in white text on a black banner, " There was an error working with the video."
