Photoshop Elements :: Program Doesn't Recognize That Have Email Program Loaded
Dec 2, 2012I cannot share photos from my Elements 8.0 Organizer via email. The program does not recognize that I have an email program loaded. The computer is a new HP desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 operating system. My Elements 8 does everything I need except for the photo sharing so I don't really want to purchase a new version.

Jun 18, 2011While recently using my photoshop CS program, my computer crashed. When trying to open photoshop back up, the program locks up and the registration box in middle and tool box (upper left) turn all white. The hour glass symbol pops up and the Adobe Photoshop in the top left corner says (not responding).
I've tried closing and re-opening program, re-starting computer, but I can't get program to open. I have a PC and use Windows XP.

Jun 17, 2008My CS2's been working fine for ages, but recently it's stopped letting me use the tools- I can select and change the settings for the different tools, but the cursor only comes up as a hand and I can only move around the canvas. Have I accidentally selected something that I shouldn't have.

May 19, 2009I'm using cs3 on a WinXP computer and over the last few days I'm all of a sudden getting a pop-up box stating that a (some tool) could not be used because of a program error. Does anyone know what this is all about and have any ideas on how I can fix it? I've restarted PS and rebooted several times and that does not help.

Jun 11, 2012We're having an issue with saving files using Photoshop CS6. Several of our users are unable to save, specifically on our server. They all get the "Could not save because of a program error" message. It doesn't seem to happen on the computers running Lion, but most of the people running Snow Leopard have the problem.
We've tried resetting the preferences, repairing permissions, etc. I read somewhere about unchecking the "ask before saving a layered tiff" button, but none of them seem to solve the problem.

Jun 24, 2013How do I reinstall Photoshop CC? I appear to have created a problem by installing Photoshop CC over Photoshop CS6 and then deleting Photoshop CS6. When I open Photoshop CC i receive a message that there is program error. The Creative Cloud Application Manager seems to think that everything is OK and won't let me reinstall Photoshop CC. I am using an iMac and have Mountain Lion OS installed.

Feb 13, 2013When I purchased CS4 I downloaded it to my main computer and I think my backup one too. After a while I took it off my backup, and now I need it there again so I can travel with it. I went into my account and downloaded it onto the backup computer. It appeared as a blue photoshop square logo with a disc image in the right hand corner. When I opened it all it contained was language options and no other options. I double clicked on English and it opened to a folder containing 'Goodies' and that's all. No installation protocols. Also there was an icon looking like a Text edit icon with a hard drive icon superimposed on it, I double clicked it and all I got was the language selection again. I'm running mac 10.5.8 on a Mac Book.

Apr 13, 2013I use Photoshop daily (7.0). Just recently, I tried to save a photo and got the message "could not save because of a program error". After getting the message again tonight, I re-installed Photoshop on a NEW computer, (went from Windows 7 to Windows 8), transferred my images and got the same message. The strange part about this is that only some of my photos can't be saved - even those taken the same day. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Details:
- they can't be saved in any format. I tried jpeg, tiff, png, etc. Same message for all.
- they can't be saved externally. I tried to transfer them to an external drive and got the same message.
- I tried uploading it to an online editing site and renaming it, then re-opening it in photoshop. same message.

Jul 12, 2013up until now, I had no problems with photomerge. Recently, worked on about 800 images in CC, about 30 of them merges, with no problems at all. However, this changed today, as I tried to merge 2 images. PS kept on hanging half way trough the process, the only to stop was through task manager.
Rebooted the PC and tried others - which I had merged before - with the same result. It doesn't matter from where I open them. The only thing I have done since the others, is uninstall CS6. There doesn't appear to be a way to repair the installation, or at least none that I am aware of.

Oct 16, 2012I make Photoshop .pdf files all the time, but today I couldn't create one. The original file was a large .psd image (26 mb). I get this error message: "Could not save as “sandybell for desert shakedown 02.pdf” because of a program error."
It doesn't say what error! However, I wonder if it's because the file is so large. I just tested Photoshop and made a .pdf file of a .png file that was 221k.
Is there a limit to the size of file you can make into a .pdf? If so, what is that limit?
