I got bounch of pictures that were taken with a very big zoom lens. As a result, the pictures got four black corners. Taking that away taking me a long time, creating three or four layers and then leveling them.

How can I do this several (or all) at a time, instead of individually editing each one, using my Photoshop Elements 11 or 12? I cannot find an action for this in the action menu. If not possible within Elements, is there anything "free," or do I have to get Creative Suite or the like?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am saving a PDF from Illustrator CS4 that contains only 100% black text. My print provider is telling me that the text in the PDF has been converted to 4C, rich black. I have tried all different PDF creation settings (high quality, press quality, PDFX3, default) from Illustrator but nothing works. How can I create a PDF that maintains 100% black and prevents it from converting to process black?
View 12 Replies View Relatedit seems that whenever I input .SAT files into my drawing it really slows down AutoCAD. This is especially true whenever I switch views. It appears to be the regen operation. The drawing is only 10 MB. I can work in much larger drawings that are 2D and not have a problem. I've eliminated all other background tasks and processes that are eating memory.
Is there some sort of work-around/setting I can adjust to reduce quality of the 3D views in order to speed up the regen process?
Designer Pro 6: I've made round cornered pix for a catalog. I export as a PNG and the corners show black in the Web app I'm using, but they are transparent so it's OK. The last set of pix were done in Xara Xtreme 5, when I exported those as PNGs the corners were white, and the transparency was OK. My question is why the white or black corners, and is there something I can do that will control that? I used the same approach in Designer as in Xtreme 5.

However, the rounded corner area show a black background around each corner. When I save for the web,do I need to choose something else in the Matte and Transparency dropdown menus?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using the design accelerator to create a shaft with multiple features. Works well. This shaft is 90"+ in length and although I realize we create in full scale, having it display into my drawing in full scale is unnecessary because one diameter is nearly 60" long. As such I would like to shorten it by using a shaft end, but cannot figure how to do it.
Just to be clear, by shaft end (term used in Mechanical) I refer to the squiggly lines that basically fudge the OAL of a component.
I know how to make rounded corners. But the background has color and shows the square corners of the palette.

Top swatch is the original. Bottom is the closes I could get while keeping Black at 0%.
I put rounded corners [from the decor part] onto my image, and when i saved it, it came up with these extra bits at the corners; which make the image actually rectangle. How i can get rid of them? i just want the plain round corners. =x

How the PMS color palettes "simulate" on screen how the color will print on different substrates (glossy vs matte vs uncoated paper). That's great for comps, but if you convert it to CMYK to print it, and the values are representing a "simulated" color it won't look correct (by that I mean come close to matching the spot color). For example, the uncoated palette simulates the color by making them appear a bit washed out on screen - pretty good visual simulation. But it might do so by adding black and cyan to orange for example, etc. - effectively dulling the original color.
So if I convert that to CMYK within the new Pantone + color palette, and then send it to the printer - it won't appear as it did on screen, it will dull the end color even more because it's converted the color to the dull simulated version - what a disaster! It's only doing half the job - showing us what it should look like on screen. In order to be truly efficient for design professionals the CMYK conversion might remove black and cyan completely to effectively brighten the color in the final output on uncoated paper. I would prefer it just stick to the standard conversion, which Pantone did have as a standard palette option (PMS to process), and then I can adjust if I think it's necessary.
Any corporate branding system will likely start with a PMS spot color palette for the identity. Then it will build into many different adaptations - full color brochures, large format banners and trade show graphics, website, advertising. So any corporate branding system will need to have PMS, CMYK and RGB versions of their main corporate color palette. There was a standard for these translations that was automatically consistent in the Adobe software and that is now all over the place, so it relies on individuals manually adapting the color mixes for final use - what a great way to screw things up.
I scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
