(CS6 on Windows) I made a copy of the background and selected hue/saturation from the adjustments panel. I chose Preset- Custom and the little hand icon I chose 'yellow' to fix the yellows in my image. When I click on "yellows" to choose that slider nothing happens.
I can't get the yellow slider to show up no matter what I do.
When I drag an image file into Photoshop CS4, the file opens but Photoshop remains in the background – i.e., in the window behind the one that I dragged the file from. For example - I open Photoshop, then open Bridge, with the Bridge window mostly covering Photoshop’s window. Drag a file from Bridge to PS. The file opens in PS, but the PS window is still behind Bridge’s window. I have to either ALT-Tab or click on the PS Window to bring it to the front. On prior editions of PS, it would come to the front automatically when a new file was opened. I still have CS3 on my computer, and verified this. This happens whether the file is dragged from Bridge, Windows Explorer, or Thumbs Plus. It happens in both the 64 and 32 bit versions of CS4. I looked through the preferences and don’t see anything that seems to relate to this behavior. Is this how CS4 is meant to work? Is there any setting I can tweak to change this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI started to notice this a few days ago. I created a rectangular shape and applied the drop shadow layer style. I then removed that style first by turning it off and then by dragging it to the trash icon.
Now I have a shape with a drop shadow but not layer styles. The only solution I have found is to delete the shape and create a new one without the drop shadow applied.
I'm used to a PC, but am having to use a mac once a week for a new job.
When I hit "Cmd -0" to view my image in its entirety, my background screen shrinks with it. Then, when I zoom in again, I have to expand the screen again.
I'd like to have my background to stay locked in the same position where I have placed it, with only my image file expanding or shrinking, as I work.
I recently tried to open Photoshop (for Mac). Normally the register "Adobe Design Suite Standard CS3" pops up asking me to register (with the whole register form) and i just click register later. But now the screen is popping up completely blank.
No form, graphics or buttons. And i am unable to close it. Photoshop and the project i am working on load up but i cannot access it because of the register form window. How can i get rid of this? None of my adobe products are working.
When I right click and fill path it fills everything around my path???? My path stays transparent..

Is this a Photoshop thing, a Bridge thing, or a Lightroom thing?I have a RAW image in Lightrom... I make adjustments. I open it in Photoshop as a Smart Object. Add layers, fiddle, do normal Photoshop stuff. Then I realize I goofed on the original RAW in Lightroom and had sharpened it BEFORE I went into Photoshop.
So, I open the RAW back up from Photoshop, which of course, opens in Bridge, NOT Lightroom, and fix the sharpening. Then back to Photoshop where I finish fiddling and save the .psd file.EXCEPT, as near as I can tell, I now have a RAW file in Lightroom that doesn't know changes have been made.
And, since I haven't written the metadata to the RAW file on disk, I have a file in Lightroom that doesn't match what's on disk, a .psd file that doesn't match the RAW file that's in Lightroom,and changes made in Bridge that don't seem to be anywhere...
How do I make sure the RAW file in Lightroom stays up-to-date with what's being used as the starting image in Photoshop? And how do I get Lightroom updated with whatever changes got made in Bridge?
When I edit a photo the process doesn't complete itself. The edit in progress message stays on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDiscovered gimp tonight however I seem to be facing the same problem. I am creating a new logo for work, I will go through the details in a moment, but each time I increase the scale size and it visually increases on screen, when it prints it is the same small size. The origins of the image are from Microsoft Office through SmartArt, I created what was needed, took a print of the screen moved into paint to open then cropped and saved it as a jpg. I then dragged it into gimp. I should also mention that within the original SmartArt (it is a circle of 4 globes) there is another jpg of our logo. I just don't understand why it is not printing the larger image on my screen.

I find this highly annoying and want it to go away. Is there a preference I can change to make it NOT be on top, especially when I've switched to a different application?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently completed a new parts list style - which I thought would be nice to use in some other idw's. So I exported it and saved it as "XXX BBB". Its original name was "XXX AAA".
When I go into another idw and import it I get it coming in as "XXX AAA" - even though I'm importing "XXX BBB".

I have AutoCAD (2013) set up with two anchored windows on the left-hand side of my screen - layer properties, and then anchored below it the design centre. What can I do to make sure that my layer properties manager always stays anchored to the TOP of the LHS, and the design centre BELOW it, because they switch around when I open a new drawing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on my electrical plan with the floor plan xref'd. I am able to get the entire floorplan to plot lighter using the 25% saturation feature in layers. The walls print ghosted, but the hatch that is on the same layer as the walls stays dark. I tried creating a seperate wall section All layers on the floor plan dwg that are xref'd in are the same in the layers dialog.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly with a dozen or so rules and a form in it.
After selections have been made on the form, one of the rules saves the assembly as a new assembly (save as).
This closes the first assembly and opens the "saved as" assembly, BUT the form from the first assembly stays open.
It appears the first assembly gets closed so quickly the form does not close also.
I can just hit "done" button on the form to close it in new assembly, but would rather the form close automatically.
Is there code that I can add to close the form ??
I have designed a brochure for a friend but the Printers say there is an issue with the saturation on the black.
The saturation I have done is apparently 400% but should be under 300%.
I assume the brochures are being digitally printed as opposed to traditional methods.
My questions are:
How do I find out what the saturation of the black is ?
....and how do I change the black saturation without changing the saturartion on the rest of the colours ?
I go to use the Hue/Saturation Editor thing, Photoshop messes up on me. It goes to the eyedropper tool, the "X" in the top right corner goes faded, so that I can't click on it, but I can select colors on the picture (with the eyedropper) and on the little 2 color pallete thing in the bottom left corner, where it displays the foreground and background color. I can switch them, with the arrow, but nothing else, i can't switch layers, I can't select any other tools, or anything. Can someone help me with this? Also, this might help, I was following a tutorial that required me to change some sort of properties... a link to the tutorial is below; If you download the .PSD file, a warning box pops up on photoshop when you try and open it...

However, I've noticed that when applying a style to text (Baltic Sea Ice, for example), even after I rasterize the text layer, I am still unable to alter the color by changing the hue / saturation in order to match a precise color scheme. Is there another way to do this?
Import scanned JPG, trace over lines, make colour mask, then just fill in appropriate colours.
Now my next step would be to use hue/saturation to make all the shadows and shading etc, but the hue saturation option is grayed out on the menu
I have an image that I want to lighten one color. I choose "color range" and select the color and it has dotted lines around it. Then, I want to play with that color or area of the image and try different saturations or colors. BUT, when I try that, the main layer with the image is not selected. So no changes are registered..... just the layer for hue/saturation is highlighted so I can't do anything to change this color. Seems that, automatically, the NON IMAGE layer becomes the only one I can work with when I select hue/saturation...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I save for web, I get a weird de-saturation in my image and I have never come across this before. This weekend I tried to save an image to be optimized, and it came out all digitized and looking like crap. So I wanted to go back and save it at the higher setting.
Now, there is no pixilation, but my colors are muted.
The bottom image is what it SHOULD look like, and the top image is what saves when I save for web.
