I have about 10,000 product images. My boss wants the backgrounds removed but I don't have contact with the last guy that did this job so im unable to get my hands on the original images. Which leaves me with one course of action, removing the backgrounds from 10,000 images myself. I'm familiar with a few methods of automating this process (when there's solid backgrounds) but they won't work here. Most of these products have gradient/twotone backgrounds, so either one half of the background gets removed, or the entire image ends up transparent.

I am trying to paste an image into a comic I am making on GIMP. The image I am pasting is just a white face outlined in black. The background of the image before pasting (on the original site) is white (or maybe transparent). However, when I paste the image onto GIMP, the background changes to black, which envelops the black outline and ruins the picture. How can I paste this image so that the background remains white/transparent?
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow to add drop shadows to an image that already has a background (such as a forest, etc.).
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a really basic one - and I'm sure I've read how to do this here before in a really simple way, but I can't re-find the post after some time searching: I have two photos side by side on two different layers, and I simply want to create a fade between one and the other over an overlapping area of about 10mm. I have tried selecting one layer, and using the gradient tool, but I am doing something wrong as this seems to affect all layers; ie it works fine on one layer, but the other layer gets faded out too. I'm sure I have to create a new layer or something and perform the gradient on that, or maybe I have the wrong gradient settings.
Or do I process both photos in separate files, and then bring them in to a new file and overlap them?
I'm trying to blend a couple of images together using the gradient tool.
I moved one image to the other using the move tool, I then added Layer Mask (in the layers palette), i then got my gradient tool and selected black,white.....I used the gradient tool on the left side of the image and it blended beautifully.
So, now that the left side is blended nicely, I attempt to blend the right side. The right side blends very nice.....but my left side went back to where it was originally.
How do I blend multiple sides of the image?
I am new to the forum, I am creating an image of combined 2 images with the middle overlapping with each other. I was hoping to blend the 2 images in the middle very much like this site here: [URL]....
How do I do that in Corel PSP x3?
I am able to print the document without the gradient/fountain fill. I have been trying to print an image with gradient/fountain fill and the gradient image will not print...
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to create a gradient similar to radial gradient, except that the shape is other than circular? This image would be the starting point, but I would like the white part fading to black to be another shape (say, a rectangle, a banana, etc.).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been experiencing problems with the Gradient editor since I got PS and the problem is that whenever I create a gradient through the gradient editor and then load it, it does load it and instead just duplicates the ones that already exist.

I save all gradients at:

C:UsersRHAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6PresetsGradients

However it does (mostly) work when I import pre-made (from web) Gradients.

I don't know why this happens but it also did the same thing when I had CS5.5!
I've noticed that practically all SIG makers have really nice backgrounds. Do they make the backgrounds personally? Or do they get it from a website?
If you are a person who makes your own sig backgrounds,
I tried to figure why I know long have the checkerboard transparent background in photoshop CC and I can't make transparency.I read somewhere they change this option I have to do PNG now. ugh really bums me out the white background I am stuck with

We designed id cards (having width:1062 , height:672 pixels and resolution:300) using background of width:2560 and height:1600
Â
Eventhough we use backgrounds with high resolutions, while printing in ID card machine, there are strokes in between. We couldn't get good output. What could i do.
Â
Here is the background i used . How to design our own backgrounds?
I'm working on a design that seems a bit bland so I thought about adding some texture to the background, though I dont want it to interfere with the foreground elements like text, and images.
Â
1. I can reduce the transparency, what else might I do? Fade it out?
Â
2. Just curious to hear some examples of when you might use a texture for a background of an image? Do you only do it for very specific reasons?.
i have a picture of a car and i would like to take some parts of the background out but not all of its how can i do its, i have tryed using Filter>Extract but it dosnt seem to work, and i read on a site that i can use Crop tool but i am not familuar with that tool is their another way to do this.

I'm looking for pale soft images with no real pattern that can be used as a layer above a photograph to give that dreamy but slightly coloured look.
I believe there are suppliers that produce these backgrounds but can't find what I want by searching. See the background applied to the left page in pdf attached.
What options do I have to remove 'busy' backgrounds from photographs?
Many of my pictures are taken at home and I want to focus upon the wife and kids, not the sofa or curtains.
I've tried the magic wand and select similar and I've tried the magnetic lasoo - whilst both are good, they're not quite there.
I'm trying to recreate either one of the backgrounds in the 2 images below. I have a fairly good knowledge around Photoshop. I've tried rendering and filtering and just couldn't reach a relatively similar background to either one of these backgrounds.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo everytime I open a new document it's not a transparent background. Ill even start a new document as transparent and RGB. Still a white background when it is created. So I tried adding an image. Deleted the first layer. Still nothing. So I used a magic wand, deleted the background. Still white.
I remember having this problem before and my professor told me what it was. But I forget what she said, it was over a year ago. Anyone have any ideas?
make logos with transparent backgrounds, so that when they are placed in a DTP program (PageMaker) they do not have a white box around them, I have been using PhotoShop’s transparent export functions but inevitably this leave the image looking bitmapped, especially with text, or just plain bad. Is there anyway one can make logos with transparent backgrounds and have them look good?
