I'm trying to recreate either one of the backgrounds in the 2 images below. I have a fairly good knowledge around Photoshop. I've tried rendering and filtering and just couldn't reach a relatively similar background to either one of these backgrounds.

I ve been playing around with Photoshop 8.0 for awhile now and ive been trying to make some cool abstracts. But all the tutorials i do i come out with bad results or just something i dont like.
So what is the best technique for making abstracts with photoshop and where can i learn it?
So I have a nice abstract background that is in tones of green. However I want it to be in tones of maroon. I have tried various filters etc etc to change the colour, however it seems to change the colour but some areas just go dark. What is the best way to achieve this affect and how do I do it?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI followed a tutorial on how to make abstract images using abstract brushes. One of the attachments is from the tutorial. The other is my result.(you will know which is whose; I used the same brush)
There must be some brush settings I need to adjust, but the tutorial doesn't say anything about them. What am I doing wrong here?(messing with shape dynamics and scattering produced a better result, but it was too bright and still looked terrible.)
How to make abstract art on GIMP! They will all look very different, here is a possible outcome:
1. First, open a canvas of any size. I suggest 120x480 for a sig.
2. Now set all of your gradient options to:
Mode: Difference
Gradient Abstract 1
Shape: Linear
3. Now put a gradient across the canvas.
4. Keep on putting these all over.
5. Now change the shape to Radical.
6. Put these gradients over a few times, as before.
7. Now change the mode to Hue, and the shape to Linear.
8. Put these gradients over it again. Keep on doing this until you find a style you like.
You can now add any effects you want to.. these also make great backgrounds for sigs..
I've noticed that practically all SIG makers have really nice backgrounds. Do they make the backgrounds personally? Or do they get it from a website?

I tried to figure why I know long have the checkerboard transparent background in photoshop CC and I can't make transparency.I read somewhere they change this option I have to do PNG now. ugh really bums me out the white background I am stuck with

We designed id cards (having width:1062 , height:672 pixels and resolution:300) using background of width:2560 and height:1600

i have a picture of a car and i would like to take some parts of the background out but not all of its how can i do its, i have tryed using Filter>Extract but it dosnt seem to work, and i read on a site that i can use Crop tool but i am not familuar with that tool is their another way to do this.

So I tried adding an image. Deleted the first layer. Still nothing. So I used a magic wand, deleted the background. Still white.

make logos with transparent backgrounds, so that when they are placed in a DTP program (PageMaker) they do not have a white box around them, I have been using PhotoShop’s transparent export functions but inevitably this leave the image looking bitmapped, especially with text, or just plain bad. I cannot get a perfect white background. I use white balance and save in my camera (Canon 40D) and process using CS3. My background is grey, I have tried using exposure and or brightness and my subject looses detail.
