I have some how enabled the grid function (control h) on EVERY image I open. I have to disbale the grid manually for each photo by pressing control H. It is listed under "extras" as well. Please help me disable this permanentely so I don't have to do it every time.
Just come back to a piece of work afte my son was playing with the computer, and he's set up something in Photoshop that I've never seen before. Really strugling to describe it – there seems to be an invisble grid or chequerboard over my image somehow. When I try to paste another image into a new transparent layer (I'm trying to combine two images), it doesn't appear solid but has transparent squares all over it. Also, if I try to select a block of colour with the magic wand tool, the marching ants go into a chequerboard shape. In the hope of un-setting this I've taken the history way back to beore I last worked on the image, but no joy – it's some kind of option that will have to be switched off. I'm sue it's something incredibly simple and obvious, it's just that I can't find it!
I want to take an image (doesn't matter what) and lay a finely bordered grid over it.
Then I will be filling in certain spots of the grid with the background color, essentially making it look like a large digitized image.
Now imagine an image filled in that grid. If the web page background was green, then I'd take random squares and fill them in as green.
Should I be drawing the grid? Erasing the background of an existing image? I've experimented with different things but really haven't come close to the desired effect.
Ive noticed since upgrading to CS 5.5 that when I zoom way in on an image in Photoshop, a grid shows up around the pixels at 500% + zoom. I don't mind it all that much but there are times when I don't want that grid to show. I'm sure there is a toggle somewhere in the preferences to turn this on and off completely but it would be nice to have a key command. Not sure if that exists
There's a very long list that I have to sift through everytime I use the Text tool. I have deactivated a ton of fonts in font book. Is there somewhere else to delete or turn off fonts? I don't want to delete fonts the system needs, but I don't want them showing up in the list, either.
I have an i7 3770k, TWO AMD HD 7970s, 16 GB of 1866mhz ram and I'm on Windows 7 64 bit.
Why does Photoshop run (much) worse when I enable GPU acceleration? Do they do this on purpose so they can sell their "professional" graphics cards where the only difference is the driver is more "optimized" for programs like CAD and Phoshop?
I have having a weird problem with Photoshop CS4. First of all, let me give off the specs.
OS: Windows 7 64 bit Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7570 (Driver Version 8.960.11.1000, with latest Catalyst Control Center)
I use Photoshop CS4 for freelance work, and one of the tools I like to use is the Rotate tool. When I first got my desktop and installed Photoshop, everything worked fine. However, recently I was forced to perform and factory restore on my desktop due to a virus.
Today I started working on something and when I tried using the Rotate tool, it was not working (I go that error window saying it wasn't enabled). I checked the OpenGL settings to see it was enabled. Confused, I restarted Photoshop and tried again with no luck.
This turned into a search around the internet to see just what is going on, but the only thing I could find was suggesting updating drivers for my graphics card and Adobe, which I have tried with no success. I have found out that some people were having the same trouble as me, but what makes my case odd is that it was working fine before the factory restore.
I'm tying to see if the 3D features in Photoshop Creative Cloud do what I want to do but they are not enabled. Below is my computer specs. It has 2GB on the GPU so it should work.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 14.0 (14.0 20130423.r.221 2013/04/23:23:00:00) x64 Operating System: Mac OS 10.8.4 System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:58, Stepping:9 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, HyperThreading Physical processor count: 4 Logical processor count: 8 Processor speed: 3400 MHz
I purchased a logo and business card design from a designer but one of the colors is the wrong shade of blue. Is there a way to change the one color throughout the file if the file doesn't have layers enabled? I'm a novice PS user but am unable to get in touch with designer to get revised files so was hoping there is a way I can do this myself.
I have a creative cloud subscription and have photoshop installed but for some reason, my 3d features aren't enabled. Is this something to do with my creative cloud account is the student based one?
I have Photoshop CS5 Extended (x64), and I have enabled OpenGL in the preferences, AND I've checked that my Graphics card is supported, AND I've updated my drivers....
I can't, for the life of me, get Repousse to work!!I'm trying to extrude a logo I've created.... BUT I've also tried to repousse a text layer and a Shape layer, just to test it... and NOTHING.
I have purchased the following books: Photshop CS4 The Missing Manual, Real World Photoshop CS4 for Photographers, Real World Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS4, I keep getting this message:Suite Color Management is not enabled,
Basically, when I go to view the layer mask by holding alt and clicking on the layer mask it doesn't function. Along with this problem, when I go to toggle my adjustment layers on and off, by holding alt and clicking on the eye symbol next to the background layer... again this doesn't work.
Im not sure if I have accidently clicked on something that has disabled these functions or its just a bug.
I've downloaded some of adobe cs6 programs such as photoshop, dreamweaver, illustrator, and flash, But when I was going to begain a new download I found that there is an ( English - Arabic enabled ) option that I unfortunately hadn't enabled in the previous downloads -
Is that the reason I can't write arabic properely in photoshop ? - and instead choosing it I chose ( English ) and unfortunately I need arabic beside english to be enabled and written properley as I am egyptian. So , Is there any solution, option, or language patch that changes it to arabic enabled instead of english and re downloading again ? and what is the difference between the two versions, is it language only ?
When i go to Edit > Creative Suite Colour Settings in Adobe Bridge, I am receiving the following error: "Suite Colour Management is not enabled. Suite Colour Management requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.
Then I searched this issue in Google and I got a solution from the link [URL]...I did all instructions one by one but my issue still not resolved. i purchased this license very recently From Al suwaidi computers
When I need to rotate an image a few degrees a grid is displayed over the image, as a guide. However, the grid also rotates, making it a somewhat useless feature.
One of the purposes I want to use GIMP for are in scaling the dimensions of objects like musical instruments or sculpture, to create a construction plan. If I have an undistorted photo of, say, a guitar, and I know at least one dimension in the photo, I can SHOW and CONFIGURE GRID to get a "1 square = 1 inch" reference and extrapolate the remainder of the dimensions.
What I need to be able to do is include the grid in a saved/rendered photo file, which GIMP doesn't seem to want to do. The grid appears to be virtual, and disappears when layers are flattened out and the image is exported.
Is there a way to do this, or do I need to generate a standalone grid as a transparent layer and include that in my merge? If so, how do I go about generating a grid layer without having to hand-draw one?
I've an image of a picture and i want to add this picture in the perspective grid in illustrator. How can I add this picture?
Another question: If you write a square with the rectangle tool in illustrator and you select a face in the left up corner, is there a way to make the square how can i explain... You move the swuare on theat face with the mouse and when it reach the "border" it will start move on the other face, just like a wall, if you put a piece of pare in a corner, the paper will assume the shape of the corner. Is it possible to do this instead of create 2 square and merge them in the corner?
I have Adobe Photoshop CS6 (part of Master Collection English-Arabic Enabled) installed on MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Mountain LionI went to Preferences -> Type -> chose Middle East , to enable arabic typing but whenever I choose the Text tool, photoshop freezes, and cpu use reaches 130% ( on Activity Monitor it showed that photoshop using 60% of cpu while "fontd" is up to 70%)I don't know why font daemon is consuming that much of cpu, probably facing problems with building fonts models, I left it for half an hour, but no use.
the corresponding windows version, did not freeze, instead just went alittle quirky heavy for half a minute then back to normal and i was able to use text tool and type in arabic normally
I want to place the outline of a grid over a section of the image; something transparent - apart from the lines of the boxes - and scalable, in the manner of a MS Word table or a MS Excel worksheet. I tried a gridmaker plugin, but it insisted on covering the whole work area; which isn't what I want.
