I have Photoshop CS5 extended and a Mac with OSX 10.6.8. I was altering the 1st and only layer in my .psd file by filling areas with the "content aware" setting. (The background is blank.) It was working great, too! Then suddenly the "fill" selection under "edit" was greyed out, as well as most of the other things on the edit menu. It doesn't matter what I try to select in that layer.
Â
I shut down Photoshop and restarted my computer, but it didn't work. Duplicating the layer didn't work, either. I CAN fill and stroke in the background layer.
The Edit menu in LR3 has greyed out the option of any Photoshop program as an external editing system. I still have PSE 9 on the hard drive as well but neither is available. How do I correct this?
windows 7 64-bit Photoshop CS6 extended via Creative Cloud  Graphics Card: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 420 Latest driver: version 320.00  When trying to access the 3D menu in Photoshop it is greyed-out. The only item selectable is 'Get More Content'
I bought creative cloud and it is impossible to use 3D menu in Photoshop. It is grey  Mac OS X 10.8.5 Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 4 go 667 MHz DDR2 sDRAM
I have Adobe CS4 Extended, and I've been trying to use the 3d features ever since I watched John Nack demo it over on pixel perfect. But for me, the entire 3d menu is greyed out. I have enable GPU acceleration, but in order for it to work, I had to download the patch to allow older GPU's. My current graphics card is an Nvidia 8400GS. Nothing special, but it does all of the other GPU accelerated stuff such as rotation and zooming fine, so I'm puzzled as to why 3d wont work.
Why are my menu items greyed out until I hit a tool icon?Example .....open Photoshop, click "FILE" = everything greyed out except "recent" whose submenu (list of recent files) greyed out. If I hit any tool icon, menu items appear.ALSO .....eyes on layers have no effect ubtil I click elsewhere, navigator panel empty until I click an increase or decrease there, etc. I need to always click elsewhere for something to happen.I am running Vista Ultimate with a high capacity video card. I removed all my plug-ins, I ran PS4 script-cleaner and re-installed applic 3 times -
Just installed Photoshop CS4. Few problems I'm noticing: - On startup, most menu items under all the top menu are greyed out. It starts with the marquee tool selected, and if I select another tool (like the selection tool),the greyed out items (like File->Open) work and stay working. - I can't close PS CS4 after startup if I don't first select a different tool other then the default (marquee) - I installed a couple extensions via the Extention Manger and they do not show up under Window->Extensions (it's greyed out always). I've uninstalled and reinstalled, did all my Vista Ultimate updates (including SP1). Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've got a top end (well was last year) video card, lots of ram and disk, etc..Dell XPS410 system loaded. Â
When I use File/Open everything is greyed out because the Enable field is blank. I can't find any place to set this field permanently to All Readable Documents. Â Secondly, when I use Save As, Photoshop wants to save my image in a .eps format unless I save it as JPEG Stereo.
When I right click a photo in LR 4.2, I cannot get the option to edit in Photoshop Elements 11. The option to open in Photoshop is greyed out. What do I need to do to fix this? I have the Preferences in the Eternal Editing tab set to edit as a PSD, sRGB, 8 bit.
Sudenly the edit in photoshop option has been greyed out in both programs It has always worked and for no apparant reason that I can recall this has happened
I have Lightroom 5 and when I right click on the image and select "Edit IN", Photoshop is grayed out. All of the options for selecting photoshop is grayed out.Â
I recently installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my MacBook Pro. I attempted to select, then edit a photo that I created a while ago. All of the Edit Functions were dimmed. I confirmed that the photo was set with RGB color mode, and it is in Full/Edit mode. The primary functions that I attempted to use were Copy & Paste. I opened the same file on my iMac and it worked just fine. How I can make the Edit Functions work on my MacBook Pro?
Where the paste on the mouse right click menu is greyed out? Is it maybe a system variable I am missing? Both are on Win 7 Pro 64 and AutoCAD 2013 64bit.
I am on a MAC OS X 10.8.5. I am running Illustrator CC 17.0.0 I started a new document and created my work. I could not save as or export. There are times when the SAVE button is also greyed out. (see screenshot). I was fortunate there was a script that saves the files as a PDF under SCRIPTS. It does not matter if I start a new file or open an old one. I do not have file menu choices. I checked for updates and it states I am current.Â
i just started using gimp on ubuntu 13.10 . almost half of the menu items are greyed out. most of the filters work or ar not greyed out, g'mic is greyed out and so is most of the stuff in the file menu (export, save, save as, etc.) . i already tried re-installing gimp from the software center with no prevail. this is how it was the first time i installed it on this new ubuntu 13.10 .
is there something that i can do to maybe refresh the entire gimp folder maybe? maybe delete it then re-install gimp. i really dont know if this would fix anything though.
this is really irritating. and no its not the "image RGB/indexed mode" problem.
im pretty sure i dont have anything installed (like some weird ubuntu restricted access fake file) that could interfere with the interface at all as this is a pretty fresh installation. the most i have installed that might even be close to interfering with the interface is "pipelight" which is for flash and silverlight, not gimp.
i even tried different color profiles and none of them work. i even downloaded the brand new color profiles from adobe. none of those work either.
the only way i got ALL of the menu options back, including g'mic, was opening gimp through raw therapee (basically adobe lightroom for ubuntu) which might be of some use in finding an answer to this?
i already have everything i need installed including the ubuntu restricted access extras and such.i just would like gimp to open normally with all the normal file menu options enabled like everyone elses and not be all greyed out ..
I am a long time user of CorelDRAW but have been moving more and more to Adobe CS. In part because it is the standard in the graphic design industry but also because Corel always seems to have some issue. My latest issue is when I select an imported image in a CorelDraw file and go to the top menu, I can't select edit bitmap. The option is grayed out. It's a new install on winxp-pro. I've used this tool over many years and questioned why Adobe could not launch photoshop and edit embedded images from within Illustrator. It still can't, but it can edit linked files, a danger if you only want to apply changes to the image in your current work file. Corel's ability to edit embedded images is a great feature. Why it does not work has got me stumped. jpg files are associated with Photo-Paint, I close and reopen Corel and still no capability to edit images from within CorelDraw.
I have a strange thing that all of a sudden started happening. If I Rt-Clk on a surface on a profile and select Edit Profile geometry, the dialog box comes up, but almost every option in there is greyed out!
This is not drawing-specific, not is it machine specific.
I'm using P&GD2013. I draw with a wacom tablet and use the freehand brush tool in sketch mode with pressure enabled. I want to edit the properties of the brush . The help pages are quite clear except that I can't access the dialog box because the 'edit brush' button is greyed out.
I was busy designing an advert for work, happily adding layer styles to text as per usual and when I was busy selecting a colour for the gradient overlay my colour picker menu froze.I can still select colours and photoshop is still active (if i move my cursor about the screen the menu buttons still work but all the options are greyed out so I can't even save and restart) but I can't escape the menu. Neither the "Cancel" button or the "Ok" button are working, the "x" button isn't working and hitting escape doesn't work either. When I try and click anything in the menu I get an error "ping" and photoshop opens the adobe Photoshop web page but if I click on the canvas my cursor becomes the ink dropper and selects the color.
Is there some other way I can get out of the layer menu without restarting and losing all my progress?
I've been trying to get Adobe Photoshop Elements software to work on my computer since mid December. I've had alot of responses to different options, even from Adobe themselves, and nothing is working. I get the Welcome Menu screen but when I click on either Organizer or Edit nothing happens. I am the administrator on my home computer and tried launching as administrator but nothing works. I've tried launching it from "Program File" exe but nothing. When I do this I get this error message;
"Windows cannot find 'C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements12PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I've tried a Install Photoshop Elements in a simplified mode, nothing.  I've shut down my firewall and virus program and then install, nothing. Looks like I've stooped everyone. Now I can't even return it because the package is open.
My computer is a 64-bit Operating System, Intel (R) Core i7 CPU, 869 @ 2.80GHz, Windows 7 Professional.
I just purchased the Video Studio X4. I have a good feel for the program but how to edit the sub menu titles. I have a 2 1/2 hour video and I use multi-trim to edit it. I tried to edit the title of each segment but cannot figure it out. When I go into Blu-ray authoring and choose any template, I can edit the main menu fine. When I go to edit and then customize I cannot change the submenu titles. When I double click on "untitled" or "chapter 1" or "chapter 2" I can only change the font size.
Do I have to save each clip from multi-trim and name it and then re-import it?
Why my menu group is not saving in the following code.
The following code adds a menu item to the Toolbar Test in a menu group named TEST. However when I exit and re-enter AutoCAD the menu is not saved. I have also tried saveas with no luck.
I am compiling the code **** a .net dll and then running it via lisp.Â
I would like to edit the dwt file extension in explorer to add an option in the contextual menu' to open it in acad for editing it. At the moment I can only open it, but it actually opens a copy.So I would like two options:
OPEN a copy (default behaviour) EDIT the template (optional)
I hate the need to open a copy and then go through all the process of "save a copy as dwt".I have win7 - LibreOffice has similar options for their templates (new/open).
The 'Edit' pulldown menu is missing from my version AutoCAD 2013. Additionally, the commands found in that pulldown are disabled, so 'undo' 'copy' 'paste' and etc are all non functional. The 'View' 'Format' 'Insert' 'Tools' pulldowns are also missing. Everything in the ribbon, also gone.
The problem occurred when CAD froze and I had to restart the computer. CAD was really laggy beforehand. Besides that everything was normal.
I tried repairing and reinstalling with the original disk with the same issues. Do I need to do an uninstall/reinstall? It's not the MENUBAR command, and the CUI command comes up with an error saying it cannot be located.
Is there any way to edit these underlined letters "hotkeys" in the inventor drop down menus? Having to add lots of leader lines and such to multiple weld symbols get old. Or is there a way to make a key alias to do this? I have not been able to find where this is done in inventor. Ive done it many times in CADD.
Now that I know how to get my screen menu to appear, I would like to edit the standard screen menu to one I replaced it with in previous versions. In the past, I would edit Acad.mns or Acad.mnu and replace the screen menu section with my new screen menu.Â
Now Acad.mns and mnu don't exist and I presume I have to customize Acad.cuix, except I can't find any reference to screen menus in the cui editor to be able to customize the screen menu.Â
I was having trouble with the edit sketch options coming up when I initiated a command that needed it. I upgraded to Update 2 and It seemed to fix it. But now it's happening when when I select a floor. I'm not getting the option to edit the floor. The context options don't match what I have selected. What is the problem and how can I fix this?Â
