Every time I have tried to use Create 3D Postcard from Layer, PS crashes. Simply starting it, creating a new default doc, and issuing the command will do it every time.
System is XP Pro + all updates on a Dell XPS420 with 3GB RAM.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI created a new file, set my sizes and all that, 8bit and began...I literally am using the line tool to make a straight line vertically, I then want to use my brush at 2pixels and 100 hardness to "stroke path", I set my brush then select path selection tool and right click on the line, but "stroke path" is grayed out? I really don't understand. I am following these directions from a website on how to create postcard back.
this is what i was following:
Create a new document with the same exact specifications used earlier for the front. Grab the Line tool and draw a straight vertical line shorter than the postcard’s height, and then place it slightly off center. Set your brush to a size of one or two pixels with a hardness of 100 percent. With the Path Selection tool, right click on the line and choose “Stroke Path.”
I created a postcard for my business using PS6. I edited an old card that I had from what I think was a jpg or pdf. I now have photoshop cs2, and I need to edit the text on the card only, not the background. I have it saved as a jpg, and a pdf, however once I open it in CS2, what do I do to be able to delete the old text and begin typing new?
I'm using PS CS2 and windows Xp.
I have designed a postcard which MUST be exactly 100mm x 150mm. This is being professionally printed mail-order in a batch of 60, so I don't get any tryouts - it has to be correct when I send it.The postcard consists of one image and some text. I want it to be crisp, clear and hi-res.At first I tried to do it in Photoshop 7, but I cannot work out how to get the text next to or around the image.
Then I made a beautiful postcard in Indesign CS2, setting the setup page to 100 x 150. This took 2 hours and it is perfect, HOWEVER, when I export it as a JPG or TIFF it comes out really tiny on the screen and I fear that if I send it to the printer like that it will get stretched to 100 x 150 and consequently get distorted and blurred.I tried exporting it as a PDF then converting that PDF to a JPG but the colours went all blotchy.
So I am back trying to do it in Photoshop 7 but I cannot work out how to make the image exactly 150 x 100 and also get text around it.
This problem will probably be very simple for a lot of you. Unfortunately, I'm not as adept at Photoshop as I should, or would like to be.
I want to design a postcard for my business, using several photos in a scattered arrangement on the card, with my business name on.
I'm using Elements 5 and have played around with the "create a greeting card" function. It comes close to what I want to do, but it does seem rather basic. As Photoshop always seems have more than one way of doing something, I was wondering if there is more effective way of going about it, buried in Elements somewhere. Or perhaps there is another, (preferably cheap) program that is better at this. One thing I would like to do is to change the background colour on the card and not have to rely on the background templates offered in the special effects palette. Ultimately, I will be getting them professionally printed, so I will need to supply the printer with the art work in the appropriate form.
I am a photographer and I am trying to straighten a postcard photo of the Washington Memorial. I want to straighten the memorial without harming the rest of my photo (it is a aperture priority photo and I have flowers near my camera and the memorial in the background). So I want to highlight the memorial and straighten it- what is the best way to do this?

My old computer was Windows XP and my new computer is Windows 7. It installed with no problem.
After successfully using VideoStudio X2 for quite a while now, I’ve just updated VideoStudio X4.
My laptop meets the minimum specifications, however, I have just one problem with X4.
I can output to every file format including HD, but if I choose the 3D option, anaglyph or side by side, the program “crashes“.
I get 'the program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning' and 'the memory could not be read' errors. Both messages show 3 times each. The program will eventually close when I’ve OK’d all six messages.
I’ve tried different lengths of video, from short to long, but it makes no difference.
I don’t plan on doing loads of 3D videos, just the occasional short one for fun. Even though I find red/blue 3D video tiresome to watch, I would like to have a fully functioning program as everything else on X4 works like a dream.

I downloaded a trial copy of the Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultra. Every time I click on the Create Video File button the program crashes. I get a message that the program must exit. Every time I try this, it crashes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop keeps crashing every time I convert a 32 bit image to 8bit. I am using Photoshop CS6 v13.0.4 x64 on MAC OS X 10.6.8. I goto Image>Mode>8bits/Channel.When the Merge HDR images Dialogue Box comes up I click "Merge".
At the following window about HDR Toning it immediately crashes. (immediately as in, a second after I took this screen capture) When i click "Don't Merge" it works fine, so it has something to do with the HDR Toning editing capabilities.
I have had problems before with CS6 working with 32 bit images on my Mac. It would render black within my selection. However it worked fine on Windows. In addition some who relied who also used MAC OS X 10.6.8 did it an it worked fine, however, he was using Photoshop CS6 v13.0.1 x64, while I am using v13.0.4 x64. So I think something broke in the later updates for PS CS6 for MAC. If I were to re-install Photoshop would that revert it to v13.0.1?

I just installed my CS4 Creative Suite and Photoshop immediately crashes upon making a second layer. Adobe tells me that my computer is not compatible with this version of Photshop and I have to upgrade if I want to use Photoshop. I haven't even checked if the rest of the suite is compatible, but I assume it is not. I did try to update the Adobe Updater. It says "A new version of the Adobe Update is available for intstallation. Click OK to install it now. Note: You may be required to authenticat in order to install.
Then it checks all the products in my Suite and returns on an endless loop to the above.

I have CS4 on my mac OS X 10.8.3. Photoshop CS4 is crashing all the time.I update it regularly.It used to crash using layers, so i changed the graphic settings as suggested in this forum, now this is ok.
Now PS crashes:
- everytime i do "save for web"
- often when i work on text layers
- sometimes for nothing in particular
It is really impossible to work in this conditions.Fireworks CS4 crashes too when trying to save a file.

My problem is when I try to work with 3d workspace while using 3d feature for a particular object, it shows 3d platform and default 3d settings/ properties to that particular shape but as soon as i try to click on scene or any other property option in 3d layer menu it stops working and shows not responding error. I suspect the video card as I have only had this computer about one year and no problems with cs5. From what I can find out is that this is one of the video cards not tested by Adobe.

CS4 allows all editing features but crashes with attempt to print.I also have a printing utility called QImage. Since installing CS4, QImage crashes with any attempt to open it. As a further "clue", attempting to print from Adobe Reader 9.1 crashes that program.

I have a blank document open and have tried both placing and opening an image (not one image in particular but many) and I recieve a pop up box saying CS3 has encountered an error and needs to close. I've uninstalled all adobe products on my PC and reinstalled them hoping that would help, but the same problem persists.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I purchased CS3 Web Premium it took several months of tooling around to get it to install on Vista HP. Photoshop cs3 worked fine for a few months after installation. It now refuses to open any files - just goes to an eternal spinning icon. When I try to shut it down, it just says not responding. I reinstalled once (takes hours) and it worked for an afternoon. Next morning back to not opening files.
Macine is dell xps M1210, 2Gb Ram, Core 2 T5600 processor, NVIDIA Go 7400 64Mb card.
Photoshop crashes whenever I try to have two files open at once. It's doing it on my co-worker's computer too. Mine has done it as long as I've had this computer, but his just started doing it today; it worked fine before that. We're running CS3 on Vista.

PS installed fine, was blazing fast, and all was good.I then got Vista, formatted the system, etc. Tried to install PS, and it would crash on startup. I figured it was driver issues, so I decided to deal with it later. I updated all the drivers, etc, and it still wouldn't work. I uninstalled it, but got an error on uninstall. Eventually I found the PS Clean uninstall script, and that has been helping. Now when I try to reinstall, it reinstalls fine, but again, immediate crash. I figured, long shot, but maybe somehow my PS disc was corrupt, so I spent last night DLing a trial from here. Again, immediate crash.Running 64bit Vista, I have the option to open wither Adobe Photoshop CS4, or Adobe Photoshop CS4 (32 bit.) They both have the exact same error.This is getting pretty annoying, and I honestly have already spent too long looking through KB articles, and I'm hoping you guys might have a solution for me. Suddenly, I'm having challenges with images opened and edited in Camera Raw 6.7, with either trying to save directly to disk or opening in Photoshop. I am getting "out of memory" errors. View 5 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open Photoshopp CC on my Mac Pro (8-core, 32Gb RAM) I get the spinning beachball of death and the app is completely unresponsive. I have logged out and back in to the CC to no purpose. I am completelt fed up with continually beta testing Adobe's software and paying through the nose for it.
There is also no crash log generated, nor an opportunity to submit one.
I'm not sure why Photoshop CS6 crashes when it saves. Here is the debugging info.
