I would like to know if CS6, it is possible (when cropped an object with magic wand) to establish the margins that the subject must have respect to the edges of the image.
For example;) I'm 20 images (of same size) containing circles of different sizes. I wish that everyone was in the same format with margins fixed 25px from the edges of the image.
Resulting in the end, 20 pictures with circles of equal size.
I am creating a dynamic block of a conveyor belt it has a set number of widths and needs to be stretchable in length, which I have managed to do. The motor is placed half way down the length of the conveyor and needs to stay centered
I know I need to use the move command and put in a factor of 0.5 somewhere, but I can't remember how to do it.
I have created a dynamic block that allows me to change the width and depth by stretch. I have text that the user is prompted to input. I want the text to always be center in the middle of the block no matter how far I pull it left or right. How do I keep it locked in the midpoint of the block.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt my last job, the CAD manager there had certain blocks which, upon insertion, automatically selected the rotate command. i.e., as soon as you click to place the block, it was free rotating.
I've search for the answer, but everything just tells me how to put the rotate command inside the dynamic block, but I don't know how to make it "auto-jump" to that immediately upon insertion.
I am actually an Encore user who uses Photoshop only for the menu. I am not experience with Photoshop.

A button in Encore menu is made up with a few layers. Example here can be a box and a text label below. These are 2 different layers in Photoshop, grouped together.

I'd like to aling the text label the to box. Normally the box is wider than the label. So a simple arrangement is center the text label according to the text width and box width. Right now, I have to manually adjust it by choosing both and align "center". Is there any way to automatically center the text label?
Working in the CC3D features, I am constantly making changes to my bump map. Every time I step-backwards, or make a significant change to the bump texture (smart object?), CC auto-saves the layer. This specific file is a very very large document (3 gigs in the bump texture layer alone), and the 3D layer has lots of lights and is very complex.
This auto-refresh/update really bogs down the time that it would take me to make my changes. I have a very fast machine (I know it's fast, I dont need to list my specs), and I have all shadows disabled.

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm changing views (top,left,etc.), most of the time I have to press the shortcut followed by "Z" to show the object I'm working on, this is a pain and doesn't work well when I'm editing something because it will also zoom to whatever is selected, and not the entire object.
So, is there a easy way to change views without having to pan and zoom every time?
I'm trying to loop through blocks in paperspace for a specific name and then edit it's attributes. The code works fine if the block is a standard block, but does not see dynamic blocks.
I have looked through other posts and can see how there is a is dynamic property, but just don't know how to apply it here. The function i have to update the attributes expects the object id of the block. Just don't know how to get that if the block is dynamic.

There is some random block in my drawing that has a random 3D UCS icon attached to it. When I mouse over it, it highlights a little orange square on the UCS.
What the heck is this thing and how do I get rid of it?
I try to print images at work for my boss, the images come out aligned to two sides of the paper (ie the top and left), and not centered... even when the "center image" option, etc.. are clicked..
I have tried to "change margins" but those areas are greyed out and uneditable...
I have drag-and-dropped a door onto a new layer of my drawing (units = mm).

The blue lines are the hinge corner of the door. I can't find a way to bring it down to a manageable size. Block Editor doesn't indicate any constraints, I just can't find a control which will reduce this thing's size.
I would like to create margins same as in the attached image (in one layer). How can I do it in PS CS5?

Now I got Photoshop CS4 extended, to be able to use Photoshop filters and do other things DP3D isn't capable of without having to im-/export my materials from / to DP3D. Which is when I ran into a problem. How do I increase the margins (you know, that 'pixel overlap' part that's beyond the UV mapped area on a material) in PS CS4 extended? Ten years old DeepPaint3D with Texture Weapons can do it, even 'for free' Blender can do it (when baking maps), so where do I find that option in Photoshop?It's pretty much unacceptable to have a material 'end' at precisely the border line of the UV mapped area; particularly if, at some point of time, said material would have to be resized to a smaller scale (which is usually when a few pixels get eaten away at those borders). I've really been searching up and down and googled a lot but could not find it (but then again, maybe it's not called 'margins' in Photoshop.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using these tool on a lot of images, because they often seemed to vastly improve them, making the colors pop on otherwise somewhat dull ones, and getting rid of unwanted color casts..
Later though I noticed that it is often at the cost of burning out hightlights in some areas beyond salvation.I also find shadow /highlight sometimes does this also.
Then I tried to protect some small areas with a mask before proceeding, but it seems that I can't find information on just painting a mask, but only videos with much more complex adjustment such as the Russel Crow or Lynda ones with maintaing hair detail while superimposing images, which is way beyond what I need in these cases.

If I try the wand to select and inverse I get unnatural looking divisions. Is it a matter of feathering to the right extent?Â
I have a small print shop and have had an issue with the new Photoshop CC not printing images with correct margins on and Epson 9890 and 11880. If I set the image to center on an 8x10 sheet (or any other size). The image comes out skewed to the upper left. between .125 and .25 inches to the left and to the top. I never had this issue with other versions of Photoshop.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having this problem for the first time with my most recent install of 2014 on a Windows 8 computer. When copying a line or any other object along another line as a base, when I type the distance that I want to copy the object, it deselcts the autosnap vector that I had specified. For example, now when I copy an object along a line at various intervals, I have to move my mouse after entering the distance each time to enable the object snap to reselect the direction I want to copy it (along a line that should stay selected through the object snap: nearest).Â
Is there some object snap or dynamic input setting that I need to change?
Do you need to use the join command on an object before making it into a dynamic block? I have these stairs I need to scale down to fit my floorplan, but when I place grips on it in order to scale them down, I can only scale of the block while the rest becomes totally distorted.

Once which I love is the auto-align and auto-blend feature(s). My question is, is there any way to control how these features work? I have seen on some web sites people talk about 'fuzziness' sliders where you can control that if an object (pixels) appear in X% of the photos they should/shouldn't be included in the final image but I cannot find these.
My intention is to use these features to take photos of monuments and have the people who are moving about removed from the final image (I guess it's the auto-align that would do this.) I tried a test and took a number of photos at home but I kept moving one object around (a pen.) The pen appears in all the images but in a different location so it always appears in the final image. When I tried auto-align with a stack that included one image without the pen, the pen was removed from the final image. Given the first scenario (i.e. the object is in all the images but in a different location) is there any way of automatically removing it using auto-align or would this have to be a manual process? In the real world, it would be possible to take a photo of a monument with people in different locations but it would be much harder (or take a long time) to take one where at least one person was not in all the photos (there's always someone loitering.)
I am printing from Elements 8 using an HP6500 printer and the lead edge prints right to the edge of the photo paper (4x6 or 5x7). This did not use to happen. I have looked for a place where the settings are causing this but cannot find it. The top and bottom margins look OK.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow to set up a dynamic block so I can control the size of an object through parametric dimensions that are linked (somehow) to a lookup table, spreadsheet, list, etc.?
What I'm trying to do (simplified) is place a block of a rectangle, select a size from a dropdown list, and have the block change to be that size - but I don't want to do this through visibility states as there are hundreds of sizes. The whole point is to be able to construct a list, lookup table, excel sheet, etc and link it to parametric dimensions in the block, or at least be able to link a stretch action to parametric dimensions. But the block editor will not allow me to associate a stretch action with a parametric dimension (at least I haven't figured out how to do this.)
I created a dynamic block with text field that show the lenght of a line, but this line can be 0 and in that case I want that the text field will show nothing instead of "0".
I try to write it in diesel expression with if command but i don't know how to bring the object lenght into the diesel expression code.
