How do I find the ones in the folder that are in a specific album?
It is supposed to change hyphens to en-dashes in a ai files in a folder. However, when I run it, it only works on one file. After it makes the change and closes the first file, it stops.
var destFolder, sourceFolder, files, fileType, sourceDoc, targetFile, pdfSaveOpts;
sourceFolder = Folder.selectDialog;
if ( sourceFolder != null )
{
files = new Array();
fileType = "*.ai";
files = sourceFolder.getFiles( fileType );
if ( files.length > 0 )

i'm on a Mac. upgraded from cs3 to cs6. I opened a new Photoshop file and went to do an action that I normally do with this type of file. (I have created my own action.) But Actions is no longer where it used to be — which I think was in the History area, but I'm not sure, I just go by feel. In any case, I can't find anything having to do with Actions. Where is it hiding?

I opened my catalog today and went to one of my folders (2011/9 September). I noticed that there were pictures in the folder that did not belong and had the wrong name attached to them. I was surprized so I right clicked selected "Show in Finder" the folder 2011/9 September opened the photo was not in the folder.
Knowing the folder it should be in I went there and sure it enough it is there with it's original name.Went back to lightroom optimized the catalog... still there. Deleted folder in Lightroom, reimported, but the files came back.
The folder on the finder has 96 pictures, the folder in Lightroom shows 146.I can deal with removing the 40 odd files in this situation but I am afraid it will occur in one of the folders where there are a couple of thousand images.All my other folders seem fine for now, what would cause this issue?
this morning to find all of the drawings in one folder are giving this error message when i try to open them? Error 0x0000 e651d9d4h. all was fine yesterday when they were closed however today they are not working. I have tried to recover them and although the process comes back as resolved as the drawings tries to open it returns the same message?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was trying to import my photos into the Organizer (PSE10) and noticed that it didn't accept a network drive as a watched folder.
My family stores all photos on a shares NAS drive and I would like to use it with PSE10.
Currently, I can only use PSE10 with the photos I import on my local machine, but I cant organize the rest of the pictures.
Is there a way to trick PSE to add a network drive to the organizer ?
I can not remember to have encountered this before, so here I go: I just created a virtual copy of some photos from my summer holiday, and all works well. But when I needed to access these photos going the Windows' way (Windows/My Pictures that is), the virtual copies do not appear in my YYYYMM folder. Going back to LR though, they will appear there with a /Copy 1 extension. RIghtclicking the VC, then "Show in Explorer" will highlight the original in the folder, the VC still not being there. Part of the frustration is that I can not remember this happening before (or maybe it has), so I'm wondering if I by accident have changed any settings.
Running LR 4.1 on Windows 7 64-bit.
I just create a few objects in the symbol manager, now I want to send those contents I createt to a friend. But I cannot find my library/symbols folder in the Corel Draw folders.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn LR, my photos are stored in folders named by date. Ex : 20120913
Sometimes, I run over photos that are not where they belong. Ex : a picture from 2010-01-01 misplaced in the 20110720 folder.
I am sure there are quite a few misplaced pictures in my catalog.
Is there any easy way to find them and move them where they belong ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs a photograher, I have hundredsot thousands of photos in a folder after a shooting. I would like to work with Gimp on all of the photos individually, one after the other.
When I opened the first one in the folder and saved the result I would like to close the first file and go to the second one and work on it. And after the next one and the next one...
How may I go easily -with a key shorcut, for example- go to the NEXT photo within the folder?
There are other programs, like fotoxx or DigiKam able to do this, however, I like better to work with Gimp... if possible.
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and Gimp 2.6.
I have added some folders to my LR5 catalogue. When synchronizing, it counts numerous new photos, but at the end, it gives me the message that no new pictures were found.I tried the same just with single folders, one for example with roughly 200 photos, no videos.
View 1 Replies View Relatedtoday I bought Lightroom 4. To test the new capabilities I copied 4 images to a sub folder in my catalog and did choose "Ordner synchronisieren" (synchronise folders.
But Lightroom 4 simply hangs up at 92% (according to task manager) of the task for at least 10 minutes. After the hang up, the new pictures were not found. No such behavior with Lightroom 3.
I'm using the 64 bit version on a Win 7 64 bit machine (AMD processor and AMD ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card).
I recently upgraded to LR4 (on OS X 10.7.4), but this problem was also present in the previous version.I usually move photos around using the OS X Finder (as sometimes they are outside my Lightroom catalog). To make the updates available in Lightroom I've always used the "Synchronize Folder" option. It did work perfectly for some time, but lately that is not the case.For example, here's a folder called "Parents".I added some photos to it using Finder, then tried to sync it.
Normally Lightroom would find the new files and allow me to import them. What happens here is that Lightroom wants to remove all the photos that already exist in the folder (and Lightroom catalog) and then re-import all of them + the new ones.
First I tried to select "Import new photos -> Show import dialog" and import only the new photos. That didn't work, too. (Please see the image below; however in this sample I've chosen to import/remove all of them).
As you can see Lightroom re-imports the folder as a top-level folder, but it should be a subfolder to "Other". When I try to move it manually to "Other" I get an error message that tells me that I can't do that as a folder with the same name is already there.
We have user folders on severall servers, now I want the user menu's to be stored on the network so their home folder depends on what server it's located on. I tried using the vl-file-directory-p command but it doesn't seem to work.
Even worse, as soon as the userfolder is found I want to let the script check for a file called user.cuix in the Acad folder and if it doesn't excists copy it from another location to that folder (if possible).
This is what I got so far:
(setq UserName (getvar "loginname"))
(setq RootZW "\\users\zw\")
(setq RootVL "\\users\vl\")
(setq Company "\\CADConf\ACAD13\")
[Code] ..........
Next to this we have 4 other options as well, but to keep it short I left it at the first 2.
My main user folder on the iMac is set to be shared (read/write, including all enclosed files) with my MacBook Pro. The job is a series of one-page InDesign files (they are newspaper advertisements). The IDD files contain a series of Illustrator files with linked PSD files.The idea is that we can both work on the .idd and .ai files in the same folder at the same time.
It's all working fine EXCEPT that whenever an .ai file is opened on the MacBook, Illustrator doesn't know where the linked PSD files are. We can update the link, but when the .ai file is then opened on the iMac and saved, the same thing happens the next time it is opened on the Macbook.
I don't want to embed the PSD files into the .ai files as sometimes I have to modify them and they can be linked to up to 20 .ai files.
G5 iMac OSX 10.7.5 / Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.2 / networked via FireWire cable / file sharing on, laptop user has Administrator status, all files are read/write, permissions include all enclosed files / CS6
I am trying to follow some directions and the call for a spline to be drawn onto an image. I can only find a polyline which doesnt work like I need it to. As I understand it a polyline will put a curved line as close as it can to a series of points, whereas a spline will "join the dots". I need to join the dots but with a curve not a jagged straight edge.

I recently installed Mountain Lion on my imac. It proved to be a nuisance so I formatted the drive and reinstalled Snow Leopard. I copied the applications folder from a backup to the Snow Leopard drive. I reinstalled CS6. On each load I now get the message:

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsed ACR to crop, straighten, adjust exposure, etc to a bunch of files. Used the File/Copy to command to extract images to new folder. To my surprise, the files were not cropped, straightened, etc in the destination folder. I know in ACR that "open image" will open the image in PS with all the changes but how can a bunch of files (including ACR changes) be copied to another folder?
Here is what I'm trying to do.
1. Let Bridge get jpg files from camera.
2. In Bridge, open files one by one in ACR, make adjustments (straighten, exposure, etc), and click "done" to save changes in same folder.
3. Once all files have been adjusted, copy files (tried using "copy to" in Bridge) to new destination folder.
4. Use PS batch command to run an Action to cropped photo to 600x900 (or 900x600) 72 pixels and sharpen photo. Do this for each source file and save to a new destination folder.
I'm okay with steps #1-2 but stuck on #3 as described above.
