Photoshop :: Vector Images Not Sizing Proportionally

I use a Mac version 10.6.8 and Photoshop CS6.
When I copy and paste a vector image from Illustrator, the vector image is not be sized at 100%x 100%. It comes in at weird sizes like 100% x 98.33% (this is not consistent, it changes numbers). I have to go into the top to manually change it to 100%x100% while in Transform mode.
Also, after I change it to 100%x100% and try to scale by holding shift down, it will change again. I'm not sure what's happening.

Hi, I am starting a new business making art prints for artists. I have purchased this huge printer ... just got it. I've been studying photoshop for months using "classroom in a book" and am finding out that I've probably studied the wrong thing.
I have three questions and thanks in advance for any of your expertise.
1. I successfully printed out a two foot by two foot photo I took of my husband with my 8.2 megapixel camera. Then, tried to print out another photo.... used the same photoshop settings, but the print was 6 inches by 6 inches...... I did notice that the second print was only 16. %... I wondered if that caused the difference in size? How do I set that to 100 % if that is what is needed?
2. I want to print out multiple small prints using this big paper and printer... I want to tile these various prints (all different) along the top making rows... I want them to be all different. I called Epson support and they said I could do that in photoshop. Do I use the browser?
3. I have a wide format scanner. It does up to 11 x 17 inches. If I have something larger to scan, let's say, I scan the bottom of the image and then scan the top of the image, how do I put them together?

I have been unable to print several resized images onto one single picture.
I have been resizing an image by selecting an area, copying, creating a new blank image via NEW>CLIPBOARD and then pasting the image onto the blank canvas. Then going to IMAGE>IMAGE SIZE and changing to the required size.
This works fine for printing one image but if I copy and paste a couple of images onto a new canvas the images are not the original size.

I am making myself a logo in photoshop. I have made all the letters that will be used, but they are all seperate entities as most of you who have used vectors know. I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image. For example, joining a letter E with a letter D. I wonder if theres a way to do this without having to delete part of each image and then re-draw, which is a pain. Sorry if this isn't really clear, but its hard to explain.

have a 3rd party illustration software program that can import my work into Photoshop (PSD). My probelem is with resizing my canvas in the 3rd party software for print needs. Would you reccomend Photoshop to assist me with resizing/scaling my imported image(s) for regular and larger professional print needs?

Is there a way in actions or scrip to size a folder of different size horizontal and vertical images at the same time so that the longer edge ( h or V ) is equal - ie - horiz long side 2", shortside whatever on Horizontal - Vert long side 2", shortside whatever on vertical ? at present I am separating H & V and using two different actions .

Ive been given the task of creating some mockups that will eventually be printed onto canvas and stuck onto advertising boards measuring say 4ft by 4ft or 5ft by 4ft etc those sort of sizes.
The guy printing them always requests them saved as an EPS file so he can resize them. Does anyone have any guidelines for what size I should be creating them at for later 'blowing up' as this is something Ive never done before - only ever been used to doing it for the desktop!

i have an image H:3639 W:4849 , now i want to resize it proportionally down to smaller resolution. Why there's no fast way to do scaling proportionally for example 2x , 3x or 1/4x etc. In above example , the only way is by using calculator and input a new custom destination resolution. My opinion is : there should be a button to grab whatever the source size and paste it into the destination h/w and then need a feature to lock the ratio , so while i change the w , the h will adjust automatically (simply like the 'prop' mode in the source area) . Right now i have to do too many 'click' and 'click' just for that simple task.

I have the following Adobe Illustrator file: [URL] .....
I would like to copy all visible elements of this file, and paste them onto a new file whose size is that of a standard business card. To do this I create the business card AI file in illustrator and then paste the contents of the AI file listed above onto the file with the business card artboard. SINCE THE ARTBOARD IS MUCH SMALLER, I Select -> All and Resize to 2%.
A. What I don't understand is why the bordeaux square in the middle does not resize proportionally when I carry out this operation. Instead it completely shrinks to a much smaller size.
B. Furthermore, I would like to completely get rid of the orange area that falls outside of the artboard. How can I accomplish this second task?

I have two vector art images that need to be composited in a simple After Effects comp. One is a backround plate and the other is a vector of a person. The person slide in and the backround will go out of focus with text on top.
I did a mock up and the backround plate looks flat as it should. The backround plate is complicated but it does not any texture to it, all solid colors. I am looking for any tricks that can be done in Photoshop to give it a bit more dimension. I know their are alot of extrusion and 3D filters in Photoshop but I that experienced working with vector art.
Been searching tutorials but I probably am not searching the right things. I would like to give this backround plate some pop.

I'm trying to vectorize an Air Force emblem and I am using the pen tool to create the shapes... Now that I've got a million pieces... How do I merge them? I put them all in the same set to keep them organized and so that I could move them all at once... But I want to merge them to apply different blending modes to them all at once... Even if I can't merge them... Is there a way to create all of these blending modes at once?

I am trying to build a curtain wall panel family (see attached). I want the extremities of the solids to be glued to the surrounding frame. I want to be able to scale the model inside the frame with different curtain wall panel system sizes. 5'x4', 6'x8' etc... I am having problems with restricted constraints. I do not know what I am doing wrong. the model inside the panel are created from soild extrusions. if I align the solid extrusion from one side of the frame , only that side will grow or shrink with frame, and makes the model look weird. I tried to group the solids with reference lines in them glued to the reference line grid i created in the panel and that did not work. I want to be to scale proportionally the model inside the panel.

I have an image of 4 greyhounds, and i want to vectorize them in high detail so i can use it within a logo for a web project. The image is: http://www.valkama.org/blog/uploaded...ama-739767.jpg
I have been using photoshop for a good year or 2 and have used the vector tools to create a number of vector images but nothing as detailed as this.
If someone could answer the questions below and maybe offer some personal advice that would be great:
1 - Would it be better to use a package designed for vectoring rather then using photoshop. I heard from a few people that Photoshop isn't the best tool for the job.
2 - How long would something like this take? A few hours? A day? Like i said i havn't done anything like this before even though i worked as a graphic designer for 8 months.
3 - Where would i start? Im thinking start with the dogs bodies, them move onto the coats (the coat with the number on it) etc etc, leaving the fine detail till last.

I created the vector images but I forgot to change the resolution to 72. I created the new document and dragged it to the new one but I looked at the type is a little bit blurry now. Can I print it on resolution 200 instead of 72?

I was designing a business card as usual and copying some vector images from Illustrator, but when I tried to enter some text it came up blank...the color shows a question mark (?) even after I attempt to change the color.
I've seen the question mark before but all I needed to do in the past was select that little button and change it.

There is white space between the lettering below the main logo image and I'm wondering how to make it transparent like the rest of the background.

How to deal with vector images in smoke? I would like to use smoke for working with vector images for mograph work. Howo work with AI/PDF and EPS files? As pixelating them would be a waste. It would be nice if smoke 2013 has this feature.

I've been struggling to copy one part of a logo to use it in different part of a document. If I ungroup all the elements in the logo then double click to select the part I want, when I paste the bounding box(?) of the pasted componant is the same size as the entire logo. Also, if I try to move the pasted part outside the bound box(?) of the original logo it disappears..
