View 4 RepliesI have recently installed a copy of Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2013 and am having problems with assemblies in Inventor turning into educational versions. When I was at Purdue University I used the free educational version of Autodesk Inventor. I recently uninstalled Inventor, deleted the autodesk folders in program files, program data, and my documents folders.
Then I installed this professional version. Everything works great until i use something from the content center. Once a bolt is placed in the assembly the entire assembly becomes educational when I open it again.
I want to get PS7, and was wondering if buying Photoshop 4.0 plus the upgrade to version 7 (USD 469), equates to getting the the full version of PS 7 (which I could get for USD 569).
Are there any undesired effects due to any unseemless upgrade procedures from an older version?
Also, do you know of any store where I can get it quite cheaper than 569 USD?
I can't figure out how to adjust the size of the program screen when in Full Edit Mode. I can see portions of the Quick Fix menu and none of the Guided Fix menu. There seems to be no way to resize the window.Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed the student version of Autocad 2013. Â My professor has asked me to convert my dwg files into 2010 format, as she is unable to open them. Â When I attempted to do so, Autocad informed me that I cannot convert files with the student version. Â Is there anything I can to to fix this? Â Or, can she somehow convert them on her end?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas this functionality been removed in the 2011 API. What worked fine in 2010 now throws an "Error Decrypting Data" error on trying to open a drawing created with an educational version. These are student files that we are examining with an external marking program. The application can open non-educational versions without issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having some problems with ACA 2012 when trying to work with wall styles.
I'm currently on the final year of my IArchitecture degree, up until this point I've used AutoCAD through the AD Student Community , but I've just picked up a book on ACA and was planning to get to grips with it. However, I ran into issues within the first few pages!
When trying to apply wall styles to existing walls in my drawing, Â I get the following message:
** Canceled - Educational Plot Stamp in source drawing. **
And no wall style is applied. I can edit properties of walls in terms of height and width etc, but can't apply any styles.
I am using the Autocad 2013 educational version. I have a drawing with a .ctb file. When i print, it is printing with the lines in colour. I would like the lines to print in black or grey. I assume I need to change the plotstyle to a monochrome.ctb plot style, but cannot work out how to change the plot style.
Is the plot style changed in the model or paper space of the drawing, or in the print menu?
- I have looked extensively under File/ print and can find nowhere to change a plot style.
- under File/ plot styles I can select from a list of .ctb files - but it only allows me to edit them - not apply them to the drawing.
- In the drawing under the properties inspector i can see a plot style menu and it is currently showing the option ' bycolour' when I click on the pull down options menu, there are no other options. There is also a 'plot table type; but it says this is ' not available'
-When i type plot styles in the drawing it brings up a bring s up an edit plotstyle table window, and this has a pull down menu that displays arrange of plot styles , but when I select one it only allows me to edit the plot style table and save and close. It does not actually apply it to the drawing.
I have been transferring file between 2009 and 2010 version of autodesk inventor and all have gone hell, having a lot of freezup issues. recently i have got this message what does this means
"YOU are placing an educational version model into a production dataset. Educational version documents carry a watermark that is presented in all plotted or printed material containing this model. If you proceed, any subsequent plot or print of this document will contain that watermark. Do you accept the use of the watermark?"
I need to change the layer that my "Produced by an Autodesk Educational Product" border is being put to. I've never had to assign it to my text layer in the past; it has always just gone there. Now it is showing up on my furniture layer and I don't know where that setting is to move it.

I only really use Photoshop, so I'm thinking maybe I should look at why I should or shouldn't upgrade. (Amazon has the upgrade @ $153.xx USD or something like that at the moment.)
Â
I do original art, inputting drawings and manipulating them in Photoshop, as well as working with digi photos. Worth the upgrade? What's new that I should be aware of?Â
I have CS3 and ultimately want to upgrade. In the short term, I need to deactivate the computers that previously had CS3 on them. I don't even have the computers anymore. I will then just reload my existing copy of CS3, get it re-established and move on from there. What is the simple way to do this?Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use both Illustrator CS4 and Photoshop CS4 for my occasional, personal use. I am running OSX 10.5.8. (Yes, I know both are ancient). I have just purchased a new Mac running 10.9. I would like to put both my ai and ps CS4 on my new machine.
Note: I am willing to purchase new software and/or upgrades, however I am not willing to purchase cloud-based software at a monthly charge. Again, what are my options for installing ai and ps on my new machine?
I have just purchased the latest Photoshop Cs6 but I wasn't aware that there was another program. Photoshop elements that also included 3D. I have tried to upgrade to the 3D package but the trial download for elements is the same as the Photoshop CS6 version I already have so I can't get it to work.
How to upgrade to get the 3D to work.

Am I right in thinking that if I upgrade to CS3, it will not be integrated into the organiser any longer?
Does that mean I would have to get lightroom as well? And presumably that still won't talk to Premiere elements?
e I've considered upgrading Photoshop on my computer (I like what I have, and hadn't really felt the need or desire to upgrade), and since that time, a lot has changed. Because of my lack of desire to keep track of the latest changes, I find myself extremely confused now that I am actually looking to upgrade, which is the reason for posting this. The general idea is that I'm currently using Photoshop 7, and when last I peeked in on Photoshop, that was as straight-forward as it needed to be. 7.0 was Photoshop, that's it. Now what's confusing me is what would be the best version to upgrade to? The obvious questions to follow -- what do I need it for? Varied. I do some web design, I do some photo touchups, and I do other aspects, such as getting ready to start production on an ezine (this is the primary reason I'm considering an upgrade, as I don't feel Photoshop 7 provides everything that I need to do that), for which I'd like to design a simple spread. What gets me is what all these new variations of Photoshop actually are, and what route should I be looking to go so that it's still the Photoshop I know and love, but upgraded and with the various improvements and such? I realise that might sound vague, but essentially I don't want to have to learn a whole new product just to enjoy the features that I already enjoy and know how to utilize,
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to re-install an upgrade from Photoshop 5.0 to CS2 after hard disk failure. I called Adobe Customer Service who tried to help by having me rename the instmsia file in CS2 but it didn't work and they referred me here. Does anyone remember how to make the upgrade install? When I put in the cd for CS2 it says that you need Photoshop 5.5 in order to install CS2. I know there is some extra step you have to go through to go from 5.0 to CS2 because I went through it 3 years ago when I first installed CS2.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased a sealed legal version of Photoshop CS3. A few months later I purchased a sealed legal upgrade to CS4. Today I installed CS3 on the new computer, smooth installation and activation. Upon opening the application, I found I had somehow purchased CS3 Extended, which I don't even want. I then tried to install the upgrade to CS4 (not extended) and the serial number for CS3 was not recognized. I know there is some issue with the upgrading to a normal version from an extended one. How to procede? I searched the knowledge base but it only says that you can upgrade in this way if contact the Adobe Store (if purchasing from Adobe), I did not purchase these from Adobe.
