Aug 14, 2012I recently subscribed to CS6 and wanted to use the Smart Object Stack Mode, but found out the subscription CS6 is not the Extended version.Smart Object Stack modes is just for the Extended version.

Mar 10, 2008The company I am currently working for are using Adobe Creative Suite Premium and are looking to upgrade to Creative Suite 3 Design Premium.
I just wanted to check a few things thou before we spend the money.
First of all is this upgrade possible or would we have to upgrade to CS2 then CS3?
Also CS3 Design Premium contains Flash and Dreamweaver. Will we get these 2 programs if we update? or will it just update the software we already have, as Flash and Dreamweaver aren't part of the original package we purchased.
Photoshop :: Smart Filters (not) Operating In Stack
Sep 6, 2012Photoshop lets add multiple Smart Filters (SF) to the same Smart Object (SO), and define the blending mode of each SF separately.
Let's say I've a SO with two SF (Gaussian Blur and Median): it looks like they operate in stack, that is: the first filter (Gaussian Blur) is applied to the original SO, while the second (Median) is applied to the result of the first filter (i.e. the blurred SO). As a consequence, if you switch the order of the SF, the result changes. That's the way it is.
My question is as follows: is there a preference / setting hidden somewhere that would make the multiple Smart Filters of a single SO operate *not* in stack, but on the very same SO, letting the blending modes to do the blend? I doubt, but it's fair to ask.

Sep 17, 2013We using Vault to control our Inventor Standards and I know in the past Product Design Suites (2012) the design data versions were different in the fact that the Ultimate Version design data had more to it because of the extra features, therefore resulting in having to control two seperate sets of data.
Just upgraded our department to 2014 and it appears that the design data files between the Ultimate and Premium Suites are the same and would have to only control one set of data?

Jun 25, 2013The installation of IDSP has been an adventure. After a few rough starts Autodesk support team got us through the installation of 2 computers. Now I am attempting to install IDSP on my computer and have run into a number of errors that between this forum and Autodesk support I have worked through.
I start the install once again and looked like everything was installing ok.
That is until I get an message "Allied product is not found" and the install fails and removes all installations up to this point. The failure happened while installing the Civil 3D Language Pack.
Install log states:

After I import different files in my working file, it's getting hard to work- RAM(16GB) is getting completely full and its almost unworkable!
I checked out Object Manager and found stack with "SVG data" and "Locked SVG data" object there under some basic shapes.
Stack is about from 10000 to 100000... Some times even more, but its not possible to select all them because Corel just stops. What is that- "SVG data" and "Locked SVG data" object and why they are so many there?

May 12, 2009I'm running photoshop cs3. I created two different smart objects. Within each of those smart objects, I want to include another smart object. However, when I update the embedded smart object, only the partent SO is updated, the other SO seems to have a different child. here is the setup visually:canvas -> SO1 -> SO3canvas -> SO2 -> SO3so when I update SO3 from within SO1, only SO1 is updated - SO2 stays the same.

Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.
I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.
A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that.However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.
In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Selection Modes Object Grouping Not Staying On
Feb 3, 2012I can toggle "Selection Modes, Object Grouping" on by checking the box and save my file. When I close AutoCAD 2012 and come back in Object Grouping is turned off again, even if I pull up the same drawing. I can't seem to find a lisp function or command to turn this on. Seems that my only option is to go back to the options each time and turn it on. I've got a registry entry or a lisp command I an issue to keep this turned on.

May 19, 2009in cs2, i use smart object lot to replace image i mean i have to make collection of gallery of let's say mp3 albums so i have to put albums covers in my designs but exactly as i wanted in size {no matter whatever size/resolution the source (album cover) are} so smart objects always be the easiest way cos i firstly draw rectangulers in my custum size, and i covert each rectangulers to smart objects and replace every smart objects to place those albums covers. it's easiest way and since cs3 is launched, when i try to replace image of smart objects my replaced image(album cover) wont be as equal as my custum rectanguler size. this is my prob. when i place the images either they are placed bigger size than the size of smart object or smaller than smart object . can is there any process to make as shame size as smart object while placing images to smart object??? in cs2 it's possible but cs3 cs4 can't do such smart object or i'm a missing any new technique to do that? ya we can resize each placed covers to our custom size but it takes hell long time . i need shortcut way. wel in cs2 i been doin things like this using smart object which takes only 2 min to put images in my custom sized rectangular

Apr 20, 2012I am trying to open a RAW photo in Photoshop CS5 as a Smart Object. I have the photo selected in Bridge. When I go to execute File>Place in Bridge CS5 the menu entry indicates there should be a menu displayed. However, clicking on Place does not bring up a menu.
In Photoshop there is open a blank file to receive the photo.Why do I not receive a menu?
