I'm using CS6 and CC. I seem to need to switch to ARRANGE- 2-UP VERTICAL, a lot to compare 2 images. Is there an easy way to switch back and forth without going to the menus? Can I make an F-key?
I have been using Elements 8 for some time and recently purchased an ASUS monitor that is at home in both vertical and horizontal modes. Can I change the Elements 8 format to work in a vertical format to accommodate the larger size possible with a vertical image. It is difficult to manipulate the functions in Elements when the mouse is working in a horizontal mode and you are viewing a large image in a vertical format. If the format of the Elements 8 software can be changes to vertical, any protocol (directions) to accomplish this?Â
This feature sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. For instance I just opened two photos and tried to use Arrange Docs clicking on the side by side choice. Nothing happens. Tried this several times.
Then I hit F three times to cycle through and get back to normal view. Tried Arrange Docs side by side once again and it worked.
Shut down PS Cs4 and opened it again and brought in the same two pictures and Arrange worked right away.
But I know it will fail again as it has on many occasions in the last few days. I can't predict when it will work.
My video card does not support GPU. It's an Invidia GSX5500. Could that be the reason?
One new feature in CS4 is 'arrange documents' and the drop down options. This works great. However when I close the open files and open some more CS4 has lost the settings I had. Is there somewhere to make it default to 'my' settings - always do the same as last settings. For example 'float all in windows' would be the default to always open new files instead of tabbed always opening first.
I recently got CS4 version of Photoshop and now I'm having a weird problem with the "Arrange Documents" navigation. When I installed PS the dropdown menu worked like it should, but suddenly without any warning it started to like this:As you can see it doesn't show any icons on the menu.. just blank dropdown. I works correctly though f.ex.
I can choose any option I want, but it's so frustrating trying to navigate as "blind". I've tried looking through the preferences about interface and so on, but haven't found help from there. Also I tried uninstalling and re-installing the hole software again. The result was that when I opened PS for the first time after re-installation it worked like it should be (I could see all the option like I should), but as I turned off the computer and opened it the next day the situation was this problem again.
While using the 3D extrude and bevel tool, specifically the isometric preset from the position drop down menu. I am noticing that when I expand the shape (in this case a perfect cube), the vertical paths are not exactly perfect, and are not truly vertical, but off slightly. Is this something that can be fixed or adjusted in the settings, or is this how the tool works?
Just installed the CS 6 of Photoshop on my Windows 7 PC. Â It seems, that the small icon for arranging like two or more open windows (files) have been disappeared in CS 6. I only can arrange them via the drop down "Windows" which I think is one click to much, as I use this feature very often. Is this gone for good or is there a way to bring this icon back? Â This is CS 6: Â This is CS 5:Â
I cannot arrange panels as in the attached image/ Â I want to add some panel icons along the left edge of larger panels. Â Use iMac, 10.8.3, PS 13.1.2. Feel dumb. Want to make a column of larger icons as on left of this image.
PS CS5 had icons in the top menu bar where the "Arrange Documents" icons were located. Now I can only find them in the Window drop down list. Are they still available in CS6? It was nice not having to find them in the "Window" drop down list.

Since several users, including me, have reported that the top part of the Arrange Documents menu is blank in PS CS 4, I thought it would be helpful to those doing a search on the problem.
As seen in the other thread, removing the NIK plugins fixed at least one user's problem. In my case, it was removing the PhotoKit module from the Automate directory. I've been in touch with Pixel Genius Support about the PhotoKit problem, and they are having their engineer look into it.
Bottom line, it seems that if you're having this problem you might want to start by removing plugins to see if that cures it.
I would like to arrange 6 images in 2 x 3 order. I have an older version 6.0 and I am not aware that it is posible to script/macro to do this autamatically. Is it posible in some newest version?
With either Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop CC, opening an unadjusted image of a building and applying Image/Duplicate produces an exact duplicate of the image. If arranging the images using Window/Arrange/Tile All Vertically (or Window/Arrange/2-up Vetical) one of the images will present with a perspective correction. Whichever image that was selected when Arrange was applied receives the perspective correction.
How to setup elements-10 to arrange photos by folders in thich folders are dated (2011, 2012, 2013,...) with subfolders by date (01-22-13 Day at Fair). This was very easy in photo elements 6.0 in which the directory tree resided in a left side window pane.
Is there a way to add a keyboard shortcut or marking menu shortcut for visibility? It would be really convenient to be able to shift-click several objects and toggle the visibility of them. I have a mouse with numerous buttons that are mapped to commonly used IV features, but I cannot find a way to map a visibility toggle.
How do I arrange a shape within a group forwards or backwards? I can select the shape in the Page & Layer Gallery, but I cannot drag it higher or lower in the hierarchy. I simply want to move a shape within a group so that it is behind another shape.
I'm having problems with a document which has 26 artboards, the document was created by another designer and for some reason everytime I try and rearrange the artboards in this document, it crashes illustrator. The document is not large enough to warrent my machine crashing when I try and do this, and I have plenty of ram. Also the artboards are stacked very irrgeularly they do not work in sequence either horizontaly or vertically down the document canvas area in rows of columns, how is it possible to arrange the art boards in an irregular way like this, I would like to know for future reference? Maybe if I can find this out I can manually rearrange the boards. I should mention when I do try and rearrange the boards, sometimes it doens't crash illustraor straight away and it gives me the message that the artboards will fall completely outside of the document area. This happens no matter what direction I try ( grid by row, grid by coloumn, arrange by row, arrange by column) and also when I try and reduce the amount of space between the boards it doesn't work either. Â I cannot upload images as the document is for a client.
I have around 20 differently sized layers that I am trying to arrange into a straight horizontal line. I want them next to each other so that one layer's right edge is the same as the next layer's left edge. I also want them all on the bottom edge of the image. I've tried the Align tool and the Align Visible Layers option under Image, and neither have worked.
How to arrange the circle like a round circles, same distance from each? I'm using Illustrator CS6. Â Which tool should I use? Â Also the "London" How to make it a little curve in CS6 illustrator?
Why is the Arrange Menu blanked out, when I want to simply adjust the layer of some text I created in Edge as it was thrown to the bottom layer which isn't very handy when I am trying to add it in as new content on the TOP layer.  what is the point to having an Arrange menu if it doesn't even work?  Is there a setting that I can change to enable layer alterations or am I missing something here?  EDIT:As a bit of extra information, I read that you need to edit the layer of items using CSS which if that is true leaves me in the SH## due to the fact that the software I am using creates Inline CSS and how to modify that. I'm using WYSIWYG Website Builder 8.5.  The other thing that is frustrating would be that I have only 2 options... create all my content inside of WWB 8.5 or build it all inside of Edge.  Unfortunately, if I want to add new items to my website, I would have to overwrite the old HTML when I export out of WWB which will erase all the content from inside of Edge... so the only choice I really have is to add content via Edge to ensure I don't lose all of my hard work setting up animations etc in the site.  Problem is, for this to work out, all content needs to be added in Edge, not just the fancy stuff as it seems to be layer locked... Really dissapointed if there is nothing Edge can do to enable layer modification... that will make it far less valuable to people such as myself who do not have the timeframe to learn how to modify inline css or any css for that matter. (way I see it is that if you have to get in and work with code, then this type of "designer friendly" software hasn't really performed it's role properly)  Sure this will shock the majority of purist web builders and professionals who love to work with code day in day out notebook++ is their friend, but why can't things be done differently, does the code have to look all neat and tidy so long as it works?  EDIT 2:all elements in the file are built and added outside of EDGE except for the most recent text field. This text field was thrown somewhere in between several of the layers on the website and needs to be adjusted. Also, layers created inside of WWB need to be adjusted outside of the software if possible to avoid re-exporting and the consequential wiping of the Index.html page I am adding animations to.
I choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.Â
The idea is probably a graphic design idea. I think PSPPX3 can do it though.
What I want to do is create something like a flyer or poster. So if it was physically I would have some poster board or a large sheet or paper, then I would arrange images and tape or glue them to it. Then scan and print off any copies if I needed them.
In software I think I want to be able to create a background and be able to enlarge it or shrink it down as I need to. Then start applying images and resize or reshape them on this "virtual canvas" or outside of the "virtual canvas" and bring them into the "virtual canvas".
Can this program do it, or do I need something like CorelDraw?
I follow the tutorial in the Xara Help, but cannot get the results shown. I draw the circle, compose the text, and set it to the middle Select both circle and text Arrange/Fit Text to Curve....the text appears around the lower, right side of the cirle After all this I am unable to manipulate the text (It's a piece of cake to do this in Publisher 2010, but it has some minor problems in appearance)
I have a series of sheets, each with two viewports to show two plan views of a long road alignment. I arranged them to read bottom to top, as it goes up stationing, as we do with cross section sheets, but have been told by an outside reviewer that the sheets are confusing and should read top down.
I have a drawing (autocad 2011) ,which i have to measure the areas of the many rooms and i arrange these areas in a table! is there any fast way to do so? avoiding the boaring typical area measurements room by room?
