View 4 RepliesNot sure how to make/use text like the image shows i.e Teal text with a whitish shadow surrounding it.
Tried to use blur with text of a different color on multiple layers but it did not seem to work.
I am looking for a way to automate the process of cropping an image to a rectangle that precisly fits the outermost non-white pixels of an image. Ideally I would be able to specify the white tolerance. Is there a plugin that does this? Or a series of steps that can be rolled into an action?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to put together a product brochure similar to those found on this page: [URL] .....
I really like how the line dividers cast a subtle shadow but add depth like the page has been cut. (if that makes sense).
Whenever I try to do this myself, the shadow just doesn't look as good as what I see on websites.
How could I perfectly match the line style to those in the link above or attached?
I have a rectangular screen grab (Windows application) that I would like to simply round the corners and add a border. The image is not a photograph, but since I have Paint Shop Pro X3 and like how it works, I thought I would try it . I have spent some time trying to do this with Paint Shop Pro X3 with no luck. None of the pre-defined frames seemed to do what I need. I would also like to create a drop-shadow behind the image. how to do this or a video that I can watch. A list of steps would also be OK.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe gray background color that normally surrounds the canvas (in the actual image frame, not the background of the program) somehow turned black and I have no idea how to change it back.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a logo that was designed for a white background. The colors and shape work well with white. I want to use it against a darker background and would like to surround it with a white border so that it will be readable against the darker background. I don't want to put a border around the rectagular box in which the logo is currently sitting. That box is already white. I want to lift it from the white box, surround it in white and then paste onto the darker background.

1. How can I achieve the same background as shown in the image on Photoshop (perhaps with "gradient overlay Photoshop") ?
2. How can I achieve accurate shadow as shown in the picture?
I have recently got photoshop and need some assistance with the basics.
How to I change the 1st image to the 2nd.

Some weeks ago I had to make a large scale graphic (800mmx2000mm) for a roll-up banner. I wanted to apply a drop shadow to a rounded shape, and ugly lines came up. Since it was a bit urgent, I decided not to use it.
But now I'm curious, so I quickly made an ellipse and added a shadow, so you know what I mean. This also happens when I save it as pdf or image.
Perhaps someday I will have to use a drop shadow on large scale. So, what could I do in case I need to use this effect in these conditions? I use Illustrator CS6 in Mac with Mavericks.
How would I make a perspective shadow on an image such as this? URL.....I have the Alien Skin plug-ins but it doesn't cover all the points of the image. I've also tried transforming a black fill layer with distort, skew and warp.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI will submit the Black and white ad created in Photoshop to the magazine. The requiment is that for grayscale images, the shadow density should be no darker than 90% and highlights should be no lighter than 3%. I don't know how to check the percentage on the document I made. I checked HELP in Photoshop and website. But I couldn't really get answer from them. I have little knowledge of printing. Please give me advice or helpful website.

When I import it into ID the drop shadow is applied to the entire bounding box or image surface area. I'd like to have it applied just to the "element" or Poloroid image instead.I'm saving it as a flattened JPG and placing it into ID.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI use illustrator most of the time. I'm designing a brochure and I've always embedded images, but now I'm trying to it correctly by linking them instead. So I have an image in ps as a tiff. I created a drop shadow for the image in illustrator.
I want to copy and paste it behind the image into the same file so both are one file linked to the brochure. Also the drop shadow pastes as too small, then i also can't get it positioned right etc.
I have PSE7. I would like to know how I can add a drop shadow to an image in between the image and the color block.
Below is the image that I am using. I would like to add a shadow from the image on the left to appear on the purple color block.
Can someone please show me or point me to the right tutorial that will illustrate how to create a thin background image that has a drop shadow on both the left and right borders that run vertically down a centered web page?
The image has a white middle where content is placed and the left and right borders have a drop shadow. After the image is sliced to roughly 760 pixels wide by 1 pixel tall, it will repeat vertically down the page. It is typically placed in the container or wrapper div? It is similar to a faux column.
Do any of you have any tips or ticks for removing a drop shadow from a flattened image?
I have a jpg that I received from a client for a website I'm doing for him. He does not have the logo in any other format. The image is on a white background, which will not work with the design I'm making for him.
The image is fairly simple, it's just some text with triangles, but the text has some layer effects applied to it that I'm not sure where they came from or how to recreate them.
Any ideas on how to remove the drop shadow? I have attached part of the image. If any one has ideas on how to recreate the text effects (including the texture) I am willing to do that and recreate the logo instead of trying to edit out the drop shadow.
I've been getting pink or purgle lines bordering certain objects in my photographs. You can see them on the RAW images. When I merge them using HDR you can see how prominent the lines become. I'm not sure if the problem occurs in my camera (Canon T2i) or lens when I take the shot.I've tried using Color Range and the Magic Wand Tool but it is a tedious process.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS6. I have a CMYK image of fruit on a white background with a drop shadow that has some cyan, magenta and yellow. The drop shadow is NOT AN EFFECT. It is part of the original photographed image shot against a white background.
I want to turn the drop shadow into a percentage of black only. I have masked the foot so I have the white background and shadow isolated but now I'm not sure the best way to make the shadow a percentage of black only.
I have a pillow bevel applied to a paint splatter brush image, and I'm having trouble with the shadows. I want to save this splatter as a transparent PNG. The problem is that a drop shadow effect is showing up when I save it this way. I think it's a "shading" setting rather than a true drop shadow, as there is no drop shadow set in the layer styles.
The shadow does not appear when a white background is applied. It only shows when the background is transparent. I've tried reducing the shading opacity in the bevel dialogue, and this does get rid of the drop shadow....the problem is that it also removes the shading from the paint splatter, making the image look flat instead of raised.
I have attached an image that I would like to modify to add a shadow of her in the image, based on lighting directed at her.
How do I do this?

I have been desperately searching for ways to precisely surround my text with a bubble stroke. I need this shape to strictly adhere to the text's form rather than loosely surround it. The resulting shape will need to enclose both the top and bottom text, which ultimately will form a logo. I just want to clarify, I am not looking to simply apply a stroke around the letters. Again, I am trying to outline the entirety of this image with a precise shrink wrapped bubble.
I realize this is possible with the pen tool; however, my hope is to discover a more accurate and simple technique.I have posted an image of my situation, which illustrates my initial attempt to pen around the text.
I am currently using Illustrator CS 5.1 and am having an issue with my PDF files. I have a graphic that I am building and when I import an image, place a clipping mask around it and then add a drop shadow to it, everything works fine and looks exactly as I want it on screen. However, when I save the document as a pdf, a hazy white line appears around the edges of the image.
However, the line is not on the clipping mask itself, instead it is on the square edges of the unmasked version of the image. So when I have 10 masked items on the page with drop shadows, I'm getting 10 faint white squares around each of the images which looks terrible.
I would like to create an inner drop shadow around an image like the one shown here in Photoshop or Lightroom, and then automate it so as to use repeatedly on different images. I know how to make an outer shadow but not an inverse one.
