I'm working on a file (image / text) for an email blast which needs to be really small.
I've worked on the file in photoshop and illustrator and have saved it as a PDF in photoshop at about 500k which keeps it at a really high quality.
However I need it to be much smaller, please can anyone advise the best way to do this and keep the quality?
I need to send a blast email out. I have a jpeg file created from Illustrator CS3. However, there are 2 web addresses that you need to be able to click on and open to the companies websites. Is this doable? I was thinking you just put the jpeg in the body of an email, but then what?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with PSE 11 saving my files in a size too large for transmission by email even when I use the "low" quality option. I have to send files for commerical ads for review to clients via email and even set at "low" for an 8.5 x 11 page the size of the file is 25mg as opposed to 33.7 for "high". The jpg file set a high quality is only 4mg. Is there an issue with the PDF format on PSE 11 (didn't have this problem until I upgraded)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently been working with a new client who needs all image formats to be vector. I'm having a problem after sending the final images though. On my screen they are smooth and don't have any problems when it comes to clarity, but when I email them to the client they tell me that the letters have jagged edges and aren't proportionate.
Is there a certain way I need to save these images when it comes to emailing them? When I save them I go to save as, then I save it as an .eps, and then when the saving options box pops up I keep it on Illustrator 11 and then save it. Should I be picking an older version of the illustrator when I save it, or should I be using the "save for web" button?
Trying to send photo by email attachment or photo email.
Had previously done the verification code thing and got the code and have been sending pics by photo email.Have got PS10 loaded to my Desk Top - main system and also my laptop .When trying now to send pics on my DeskTop I can get to the (maybe second) screen where you choose the size of the phots and then I get the Verification Code screen - which tells me that an 'initial verification code' will be emailed to the chosen email - but when I say continue, I go to the next screen of the Photo email and then when trying to send the phto email it locks up and says an unexpected error has taken place ...
I have sent some photos via the laptop but it seems to be very hit and miss at the moment.Also I have some problems opening PSE10 - When I click on the icon - I get the initial "organise or edit" screen where I choose organise - but then all that happens is this screen closes and the Organiser does not open. Most of the time I'm left with maybe shutting down my whole computer and starting up again and it works again.
I have created a .psd layered file and sent by email ( mac mail ) It is being receved as single image only - not layered.

This has been working fine and now I cannot send this file. What is going on with my corel program. My mail is working fine I have sent several emails out requesting a reply and they get it fine. When I try and send with the corel file it does not work. When the file is attached it comes back every time.

I have AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and should be able to open any DWG file, correct? But I can't seem to. When I try to open it, a message pops up that says, "Drawing file is not valid". I have gone into the file properties and I have full accessibility to the file and the "read only" option is unchecked.
I am currently using AutoCAD LT 2009 on my home computer. My client also has the same AutoCAD at a different geographic location. When I generate a drawing file at home and send it to my client’s computer via email the drawing appearance changes. It appears as though the .dwg file is corrupt in some manner. My dimensions are not in order the font has changed in scale and in type. Most of the text is just inadvertently scattered about.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working with some files that must be saved as .ai files and then emailed. I linked a photo, gave it a drop shadow and saved the file. The original file without the photo was about 1.5 mb. The size of the photo is about 2 mb. After I linked the file and then saved it, my .ai file was 21 mb which is too large to email. Why is the file size so large, especially when the picture is not embedded?

We got several image files every 2 weeks which should be edited and mainly reduced in size for web purpose. This work needs 1 work day for one man/woman to do, because he/she has to open the file save for web and then set the quality to a value were the file is nearly about 150-200 KB in size.
The images are different, some have few colors, some have a lot of colors and there are also different in resolution. But they should not be reduced in resolution, only in quality. All other specs of the image should be kept
Is there any possible script, plug-in or similar which can do the same (Saving with a specific max. file size) in some automatic and faster way?
Using Photoshop CS5 -- I saved a Photoshop file I created as a .pdf file but some of the areas on the .pdf file (specifically, sections of text) do not have any of the color/fill information, they are just white (blank areas). I've seen this before when converting other Photoshop files and could not find a work around. I tried saving with various compression levels (max, high, med) and it makes no difference.

When saving a file using the 'Save' option (not 'Save As') the file is not staying at the size of the artboard as it should, it is however being aurtomatically cropped down to the actual artwork size. This is causing issues with the Process we work with as we need the file to stay at the artboard size.If I click 'Save As' and change the Adobe PDF Preset to 'Press Quality' then this works, however this means that every file we save(which is quite alot in a day) means we have to go through the 'Save As' option and manually change each save.why this has suddenly started to happen with our Illustrators and do you know how to fix this so that it stays at the Artboard size when 'Save' is used?

I'm linking an excel file to an .ipt file with iLogic code determining if the Material type is a certian value it will find the correct material thickness. These file work great when working on them thru Vault but when I "Save As Template" and create this file where our other template files are located (not Vault) this fuction does not work. I have realized that I had to place the a copy of the excel file in the same file folder as the template ipt, but even this does not fix the issue.
I recieve this error:

If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
It seems completly countintutive that just saving the file as a template file would cause this not to work when all files that are required are located in the same file folder. Maybe I need a reference to the excel document within the iLogic code.
When I bring up n image file from a folder and after I work on it I would like to save in another folder other than from the original download file which is the only choice I seem to get.
Is there way to designate a "default" folder for saving other than having to continually search for the folder I wish to save to?
I saved a symbols file with a few symbols in it.
I then create new .ai files - create some graphics then want to save some of them in the symbols file.
I dont see a way of saving symbols from the .ai file into the already existing symbols file.

View 9 Replies View RelatedUpgraded from CS4: If I open a previously worked tiff file in CS6, and make some changes, instead of being able to click Control-S as before, and have it just save, now it comes up as save as, and I have to click 3 time,s as it asks if I want to overwrite it and have the same compression. And if I just modify and press alt-control-W - which would ask if I wanted to save and if I chose yes, it would just save it, now it would default to save a tiff as a psd instead.
Also if I have a group of images open, that I may or may not modify, and use the alt-ctrl-W to close all when done, with CS4 it would stop on the unmodified image and ask if I want to save it. Now if there are unmodified ones, it asks this, but it doesn't stop to show that image, remaining instead on a different image, so I must look at the file name, which for me is usually just a number and name, that I do not have memorized for each similar image. This is all such a step down in efficiency. Is there some preference to go back to the more sensible way?
I am unable to save or "save as" any file to a cd while in PHotoshop CS3. I get the error message "Program error" I can save the file to the desktop or pictures program, then can save it to a cd. Adobe personnel said it is a windows error. Has anyone had this problem. How was it resolved?
