Jul 28, 2008The only settings I get in "Save for Web / Devices" are "Unnamed" and "-----".
Where would these preferences have disappeared to? I don't recall ever seeing the standard options ever since installing the CS3 Master Collection. ImageReady and Photoshop CS3 usually have a few JPG, GIF and PNG options.
Could I download the original settings file somewhere, without reinstalling anything?
Revit :: Missing Save File
Sep 7, 2011So I just saved my project and closed it. It created a .001 version of the file but there is no non 00X file. Is there a way to recover my work or did Autodesk just waist yet anouther hour of my life.

Dec 17, 2012I'm using Illustrator CS4 at work and am rather new to it, so I'm feeling my way along. I'm modifying and working with a file created by someone else. I'm trying to save a document of multiple objects to JPG, using Save to Web & Devices. There's a white rectangle in the document that I can't seem to include in the saved file. Other objects are included without problem, both clipping to the artboard and saving the whole document. I've tried grouping the rectangle with similar adjacent objects, and also tried "locking" them. I even tried creating a new rectangle over top of the existing one. No matter what I try, it just won't grab that rectangle along with the rest of the objects. It doesn't seem to be in a separate layer.

Jun 22, 2011I have recently upgraded from VideoStudio 12 to Pro X4, and have noticed that I don't have all of the Video Save Options (specifically Media type and Audio format) that I have with 12.
I produce video for playback by a regional local access provider, and their requirements are mpeg-2 video with mpeg layer 2 audio. Both of these are options that are available in 12 but not X4. I understand that NTSC DVD video is mpeg-2, but I'm still at a loss with the audio format.

Aug 12, 2005In AutoCad 2006, when I want to open a new or existing drawing or template, instead of regular dialog box I receive only a prompter dialog which is present in the command line also, asking me for the name of the drawing that I want to open; it is the case also when I want to save a drawing too. I already checked the "Options" under the "Open and Save" tab and everything looks to be in order. How can I resolve this bothering problem since I am able to perform the above tasks only accessing "Windows explorer"?

Jul 3, 2013I have opened a block to add a quick leader only and when I tried to close I got the message cannot save back ... (see screenshot 1) when I hit f2 the problem is shown to be a missing application reference (see screenshot 2).

which is actually a description that typically appears in AI files saved without PDF compatibility. It's not document-wise but rather application-wise issue because it happens even if I create a new Document, draw something in the middle of the canvas and save it. Also, all of my existing documents which used to save well before, do that now. Basically, I cannot save correctly a single PDF. But it seems that the exported documents must contain the data because they have different sizes based on the content.

Dec 20, 2012I am using autocad 2013 primarily and other employees are using 2010. I am saving my drawings as 2010 and for me there are no issues. On the other hand people using 2010 are having objects missing in the drawing. All layers are turned on and all thawed. The primary objects missing are AEC objects. Is there a switch to show or hide these object?

Mar 20, 2014URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.

I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)

When I use the batch command to process a full folder of images, even though I have "Override action "save as" command" checked, it ignores this and still uses the location that was used when the action was created.

Jan 23, 2013I have Photoshop CS6 and Elements Premiere 11 and both were showing estimated file sizes properly up until a couple of weeks ago, and both stopped at the same time. Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.

Apr 16, 2013When I first started using CS6 I would edit my photos and when I used "save as" to save my photos then open them in a different photo viewer they would have lost a lot of color and contrast. When I reopened them in CS6 they still had no color. This is all occured on my PC. I used to use PSE 7 (on my PC) and the "save as" function to save them and they turned out fine. I recently got an iMac and when saved on there the same way and reopened in a different viewer they'd have the correct color,
but when opened on my PC the color would be lost again. Also tried opening the images I saved on my PC in CS6 on the iMac and they still had no colo/contrast. So that would mean it's not a monitor calibration thing. I'm trying to figure out how to save my photos so they have the best quality they can have for printing and also the correct color for clients to view on their computers.

PS: I did use the "save for web" option on my PC and the photos have the correct color that way! But those aren't the proper size and stuff for printing. Also I'm very new to iMac and full photoshop so I'm not sure what sizes/pixels/color modes/etc are normal or what photos are supposed to be.

Sep 14, 2013I'm running Windows XP with Photoshop CS6. Since the "Save" button runs off the edge of my monitor, I can't click Save. I also can't move the dialogue box up far enough to get to it before running out of screen space. I tried just hitting the enter key, but nothing happened. I end up having to do a control-alt-delete to get out of Photoshop altogether.I've never had this problem before when I had CS2 or with the CS6 I have at work.Is there a way around this?

Then I do one of two things:

(a) I save the file for the web in JPEG 90% high-quality and with sRGB ... filesize 340 602
(b) I change the color profile to sRGB and save the file as JPEG in the highest quality (10) ... filesize 174 549

I am at loss here. How on earth is it possible that the second file is almost half the size as the one saved for the web?What effect causes this? It is very easy to save for yhe web but as long as the JPEGs are that bigger it's no option.
